Where our range actually sits
Enquiries for bulk nuts from the United States usually mean one of two things: raw kernels by the sack, or nut-based confectionery sold by the case. Antep Foods is an exporter based in Gaziantep, not a grower and not a huller. The lines we make are coated and processed — chocolate-covered almonds, hazelnuts and pistachios, sugared almond dragées, and pistachio in jar and pastry formats.
Raw kernels are a different matter. Bulk pistachio nuts, almonds, cashews and dried fruit sit outside our range and we do not hold them in stock. They are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting. The same applies to halva, spices and loose nuts of any grade. A straight "we will check" is worth more to you than a price we cannot hold.
Pistachio, in the format the buyer is asking for
Gaziantep sits in the pistachio belt, and that shapes what our factory runs. Two pistachio items get mixed up in almost every enquiry. The first is the jarred product a US shopper looks for as pistachio cream or pistachio butter; we call it a pistachio spread, because the label has to describe what is actually in the jar. The second is pure pistachio paste for pastry kitchens and ice-cream makers — a different specification, a different price, a different buyer.
Coated nuts are the third family: kernels panned in chocolate or in sugar and packed for retail or foodservice. If your US programme needs a coated line and a raw kernel together, say so at the start. They can travel in the same container, but they are quoted, documented and priced as separate things.
Two statuses in one container
We sell a full container, mixed across lines, with each line on its own pallet. That keeps coated cases and any raw sacks separated for handling and for the paperwork behind them.
Naming matters both at the border and on the shelf. US standards of identity define what a product name like "milk chocolate" means, so a vegetable-fat coating cannot be sold as chocolate. Our offer states, line by line, whether a coating is chocolate or compound — no reading between the lines. Chocolate lines ship in a reefer through the hot months, and that appears as a cost in the quote rather than as a surprise at booking.
What the US file needs
There is no free trade agreement between Turkey and the United States, so duty is a real figure in your landed cost. We do not publish rates: the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day.
- Facility registration. FDA food facility registration is held for our factory, with a US agent. We do not hold it. The offer carries our factory's registration, so your file points at the right plant.
- Prior notice and supplier verification. Both sit with the importer. We supply what the file needs from our side: a technical data sheet per product, our certificates, and lot traceability back to the run.
- Labelling. Labels are in English, with the Nutrition Facts panel and the allergen statement prepared to US rules. On private label we prepare the artwork, and nothing goes to print before you approve it.
How a quote comes together
Send the lines you want, the pack formats, and the destination port. We come back within two business days, in US dollars, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP. Payment is 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against loading photographs. Samples come first, so the specification is settled before anyone commits to a container.
Do you supply raw bulk pistachio nuts, almonds or cashews?
Raw kernels are outside our range and we do not hold them in stock. They are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting. Our own lines are coated and processed: chocolate-covered nuts, sugared almond dragées and pistachio in jar and pastry formats.
Is your jarred pistachio product a cream, a butter or a spread?
US shoppers search for it as pistachio cream or pistachio butter, but we call it a pistachio spread, because the label must describe what is in the jar. Pure pistachio paste for pastry and ice-cream kitchens is a separate item with its own specification and price.
Who holds the FDA food facility registration?
Our factory holds it, with a US agent. Antep Foods does not hold it. Our offer carries our factory's registration, so your import file points at the correct facility. Prior notice and supplier verification remain with the importer; we provide the technical data sheets, our certificates and lot traceability the file needs.
Can coated and raw lines travel in the same container?
Yes, on separate pallets. They are quoted and documented as separate lines because their status, paperwork and pricing differ. Chocolate lines ship in a reefer during hot months, which is stated as a cost in the quote.
What can you tell me about duty before I order?
There is no free trade agreement between Turkey and the United States, so duty is part of your landed cost. We do not publish rates; the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day.
