The chain
A tuck shop, a supermarket, a market stall or a school canteen buys chocolate and sweets by the carton from a wholesaler in Lusaka or from a distributor in Kitwe or Ndola; the wholesaler buys by the pallet from an importer, or imports for itself; the importer clears the container at Dar es Salaam, Durban or Beira and brings it to Lusaka under transit. That is the link we quote: a food importer or a wholesale house filling one mixed container from Gaziantep, each line on its own pallet.
Two shelves, and the road
The supermarkets in Lusaka and the Copperbelt have chillers and take chocolate: the tablet, the boxed assortment, the pistachio end and the Dubai style bar under a Turkish brand, in a reefer to the port and a cool chain inland. The tuck shop and the market stall have no cooling and take the wafer, the wrapped bar, the compound-coated line and wrapped sweets by the kilo bag, dry, and the road from the coast is another reason the everyday shelf gets compound. The offer states which lines are which, and the chocolate or compound article goes through the difference.
What the Zambian shelf wants from Türkiye
The supermarket wants the tablet and the boxed assortment; the gift shelf wants the pistachio tablet, the Dubai style bar and boxed Turkish delight; the tuck shop wants the wafer, the wrapped bar and the sweet by the piece. The chocolate page, the confectionery page and the Turkish delight page list each group, and most lines are available in our standard packs from the first container.
Price, and what is not printed here
Chocolate price in Zambia is a shopper’s search; the trade’s answer is in the offer, not on this site: the price per line in US dollars, the case count, the pallet plan, the tariff line, the duty that applies on the day and the inland leg. Nothing that changes with the exchange rate or the season is printed on a page, so a wholesaler is never quoting from a number that has since moved.
Who fills the container
The unit of sale is one full container. A Lusaka wholesaler or a Copperbelt distributor that moves pallets fills one on its own and is quoted like an importer, with the permit and the registration on its side; a smaller reseller buys by the carton from the wholesaler that does. A group of resellers that pools an order is quoted like an importer too, each buyer’s cartons on their own pallets. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built.
What to send first
The lines from the chocolate page, the confectionery page and the Turkish delight page, the quantity per line, the port you clear through, and whether any line carries your own brand. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars and the inland leg stated; the samples page explains how to taste the lines first, and the Zambia page lists what stays the same on every offer.
Every line here is made in our own factory at Başpınar OSB, Gaziantep — a 10,000 m² site, exporting since 2002 — and certificate copies are available on request.
Can a tuck shop buy directly from Türkiye?
The unit of sale is one full container. A tuck shop buys by the carton from the wholesaler that imports it; a group that pools a container and holds the permit is quoted like an importer.
Which port for Lusaka?
Dar es Salaam, Durban or Beira, then inland under transit by road or rail. The offer states the route, the term and where the reefer chain ends.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate lines, yes, to the port, with a cool chain inland. Compound lines and dry lines are quoted as the offer states.
