Cases of chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight consolidated for one container in Gaziantep
Who we quote for

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.

We quote for food importers and distributors in Burkina Faso, for confectionery wholesalers who move cartons rather than cases, for the wedding and occasion trade, for bakeries and pastry houses, and for brands that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight made under their own name. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like. We are a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, Türkiye; the chocolate, dragée, Turkish delight and confectionery lines are made in our own factory in Gaziantep.

The trade figures for this market are small, and they are worth stating plainly rather than dressing up. On the country's own declared imports for 2024, chocolate came to 441,498 US dollars and sugar confectionery to 3,238,903 — a sweet shelf several times the size of the chocolate one, which is what you would expect in a hot, landlocked market where anything cocoa-based has to survive the road after the port. Türkiye is on both shelves and dominant on neither: eighth in chocolate at 2.51 per cent, tenth in confectionery at 1.52 per cent. So this page will not tell you that the Turkish shelf is inevitable here, because it is not. What is worth your time is narrower: where the goods on your shelf come from today, how many hands they pass through on the way, and whether a second source consolidated into one container prices better than four separate ones.

The search side says the same thing from the other direction: this is not a market where a buyer finds a supplier by typing. We counted 307 English phrases and 746 French ones for this market. Above a twenty-a-month threshold, five English phrases survive at roughly 190 searches a month and six French ones at roughly 120, and the wholesale, import and distributor share of both is zero — not one buying query in either language. What the surviving words do say is useful in a different way. All six French phrases circle one thing — dragées, and the weddings and guests they are bought for — and the largest English phrase by a distance is a pastry word. That is a consumer shelf and an occasion shelf, not a search channel. So this page is written for the buyer who reached us some other way, and it tries to be specific enough to be worth the reply.

We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.

  • Food importers and distributors supplying supermarkets, groceries and regional wholesalers, and wanting one supplier for chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight and wrapped confectionery instead of four
  • Confectionery wholesalers buying by the carton and by the kilo for the market trade — the sugar confectionery column is the larger of the two here — with case weight stated per line
  • The wedding and occasion trade, which is the whole of the measured French demand for this market: sugared almonds and chocolate dragées in the colours the occasion asks for, in bulk cartons, kilo bags or printed doypacks
  • Bakeries and pastry houses, for the finished confectionery sold alongside their own counter; the baking materials they also ask about sit outside our range and are handled as sourced on request
  • Brands and retail chains that want a tablet, a bar, a dragée doypack or a Turkish delight box made under their own name rather than under someone else's wrapper

Burkina Faso notes

What stays the same on every offer.

Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.

What the 2024 figures actually say
These are the country's own declared imports for 2024, not a mirror reading taken from other people's export returns: 441,498 US dollars of chocolate and 3,238,903 US dollars of sugar confectionery. Both columns are modest, and the chocolate one is the smaller by a wide margin. Türkiye sits eighth in chocolate at 2.51 per cent and tenth in confectionery at 1.52 per cent — on the shelf, nowhere near the front of it. We publish the figures because they set the size of the conversation. This is a shelf you build on line by line, not one you flood.
Who fills the shelf today
On chocolate the declared sources for 2024 run Côte d'Ivoire at 33.1 per cent, China at 27.9 and Germany at 10.3 — one neighbour, one distant volume source, one European. On sugar confectionery the picture is far more concentrated: India at 54.2 per cent, then China at 11.4 and Indonesia at 11.1. More than half of the sweet shelf arrives from a single origin a long way off. That is not a criticism of it. It is a description of a supply line with one point of failure and a long pipe, and a second source that consolidates several product groups into one container is worth pricing against it.
Chocolate in a cocoa region, honestly
The largest declared chocolate source here is a neighbouring cocoa-growing country, and that deserves saying out loud rather than stepping around. Beans and bars are two different trades. Cocoa leaves this region as a raw commodity and comes back as something manufactured somewhere else; the finished, wrapped, shelf-ready chocolate that reaches a supermarket in Burkina Faso is imported as a manufactured product, from wherever it was manufactured. Being close to the beans has never been the same thing as being close to the finished bar, and the declared figures for this market show exactly that.
No coast: how the container actually arrives
Burkina Faso has no seaboard, so the goods reach you by road from a port in a neighbouring country, and we treat that as the operational fact it is rather than a detail to settle later. Delivery terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF to the port of entry you name, or DAP to your warehouse. Our factory is in Gaziantep and Mersin port is about three hours away by road, so consolidation and loading sit inside a short window. The port of entry, the inland leg, the transit paperwork and the office where the consignment is declared are named in the offer, and your clearing agent confirms what applies on the day.
Temperature, and the leg after the port
The inland road leg is part of the journey the chocolate has to survive, not an afterthought once the vessel is discharged. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer through the warm months; Turkish delight, dragées, jellies and boiled sweets travel dry and can share the same container. Where a buyer wants a line that holds up in ambient conditions, the honest answer is often a compound-coated product rather than a chocolate one — and in that case it is named a compound on the technical data sheet, on the pack and in the price list, not quietly sold as chocolate.
Label, in French
The mandatory information in French, with English alongside where your file or your shelf wants it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer's name and address, and the date marking. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for own-label lines we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork before anything is printed. One discipline we do not bend: a line coated in vegetable fat is not chocolate. In the European Union it may not be labelled as chocolate at all, and we keep the two words apart everywhere for the same reason — a buyer who discovers the difference at the shelf discovers it too late.
The customs file, and what the importer holds
The rules that apply and the origin document are named in the offer as they stand on the day, rather than guessed at on a web page that ages. From our side you receive the technical data sheet per product, our certificates and the analysis report per line. Certificates are issued for our factory — food safety, halal and kosher — and the certifying body is named per line; lines carrying ingredients of animal origin, gelatine in jellies above all, travel with our halal certificate. The importer holds the registration and files the consignment.
Dragées, and the one thing this market searches for
Of the 746 French phrases counted, the six that clear a twenty-a-month threshold are the same thing said six ways: dragées for weddings, and the guests they are handed to, at roughly 120 searches a month between them. That is consumer demand rather than a purchase order, and we will not pretend otherwise — but it points precisely at the part of the shelf that moves here, and it happens to be a core line for us. Sugared almonds and chocolate dragées are quoted in bulk cartons, kilo bags or printed doypacks. Colour is a production run rather than a finishing touch, so the minimum per colour is stated in the offer, and seasonal quantities are quoted ahead of the season rather than during it.
Pastry words, and what we do not make
The largest single English phrase we measured here is a pastry one, at roughly 110 searches a month, and a second pastry phrase sits at the threshold beside it; the baklava spellings sit at the threshold too, across three different transliterations. Together they describe a French-influenced bakery culture, and most of what they ask for is outside what we make. Our range is finished confectionery: chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped sweets and spreads in jars. Couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, baklava, halva, tahini and empty packaging are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting, and a line that cannot be confirmed stays out of the offer instead of going in as a promise. What is confirmed loads in the same container as the rest.
Currency and payment
Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer only: half with the order, the balance before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. The banking route that applies on the day is named in the offer and settled in writing before production starts, rather than after the pallets are wrapped.

Private label chocolate and confectionery for brands in Burkina Faso

On a shelf fed by one neighbour and a handful of distant sources, the name on the pack is the part a distributor can own. We put our own lines under your brand: tablets, bars, dragées in doypacks, wedding cartons, Turkish delight boxes and spreads in jars, with the label content prepared in French and nothing printed before you approve it.

Questions

Asked before the first list.

Do you work with importers and wholesalers in Burkina Faso?

We are open to quoting for food importers, distributors, confectionery wholesalers, the wedding and occasion trade, bakeries and own-brand buyers. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and the delivery point; the written offer follows within two working days.

Türkiye is only eighth on the chocolate shelf here. Why change supplier?

We would not argue that origin settles it. At 2.51 per cent in chocolate and 1.52 per cent in confectionery, Turkish product plainly is not the default on this shelf. The argument is the shape of the order instead: one container carrying chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped sweets and jars from our own factory, on one order and one document set, with price, case weight and delivery term written per line. Against a sweet shelf where more than half arrives from a single distant origin, a second source that ships several groups at once is worth pricing.

We are landlocked. How does the container reach us?

By sea to a port in a neighbouring country, then inland by road. We quote FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF to the port of entry you name, or DAP to your warehouse; Mersin is about three hours from our factory by road. The port, the inland leg, the transit paperwork and the office where the goods are declared are named in the offer, and your clearing agent confirms what applies on the day.

Which language does the label need?

French for the mandatory information, with English alongside where your file or your shelf wants it. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for own-label lines we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork before anything is printed.

Do you supply couverture and baking chocolate for bakeries?

Not from our own range, and we would rather say so than take the order. Couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, cocoa and raw nuts are sourced on request: we confirm composition and format before quoting, and we say plainly that they are not ours. What we make is finished confectionery — chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped sweets and spreads in jars.

Can you run wedding dragées in specific colours?

Yes, and it is the part of the shelf the measured demand here points at. Sugared almonds and chocolate dragées are quoted in bulk cartons, kilo bags or printed doypacks. Colour is a separate production run, so the minimum per colour is stated in the offer rather than assumed, and seasonal quantities are quoted ahead of the season.

Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?

Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
