Turkish chocolate, Dubai-style bars, lokum and pistachio for importers and wholesalers in Denmark
One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye, into Denmark: pistachio and kadayıf bars, lokum, chocolate dragées, confectionery and pistachio spread — in bulk cartons for the bland selv slik trade and in retail packs for the shelf. Denmark is in the EU and Türkiye is in the EU–Türkiye customs union, so processed confectionery moves on an A.TR movement certificate and the label content is prepared to Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 in Danish. Written offer in US dollars or euros within two working days of your list.

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.
Denmark buys a small amount of Turkish confectionery and buys it at the top of the range. On the most recent full year of trade figures Türkiye was the fourteenth source of Denmark's chocolate imports, at about half a per cent of a market worth well over half a billion dollars — but the unit value is the part worth reading. Turkish chocolate declared for export to Denmark goes out at around fourteen dollars a kilo, roughly two and a half times the average unit value of Türkiye's chocolate exports and several times what the same producers ship to the Balkans. Whatever else that says, it says the Danish end of the shelf is not the cheap end.
The other thing worth knowing before you write a list is that Denmark has a bulk-candy culture of its own. Bland selv slik — mix your own — is one of the most searched food terms in the country, and it is a format rather than a product: what matters is the piece weight and the count per carton, not the case weight. That is a format our factory is built for. The pistachio end is the second opening: the Dubai-style bar on pistachio and kadayıf, pistaciecreme by the jar, and lokum in its own formats. What we do not claim is a place in the Danish liquorice tradition; that is home ground and we are not offering a substitute for it.
We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.
- Food importers and distributors that clear their own entries and supply dagligvare, ho.re.ca. and specialist shops across Denmark
- Candy wholesalers — the slik grossist and slik engros trade supplying shops, kiosks and the bland selv slik wall — buying by the carton and in løsvægt
- Pastry and bakery suppliers — the konditori trade — looking for chocolate in bulk, pistachio paste and spread, kadayıf and coated nuts by the kilo
- Turkish and Middle Eastern grocery importers in København, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg already bringing in lokum, baklava and pistachio lines and looking to buy them nearer the producer
- Danish brands and retail chains wanting chocolate, dragées or lokum made under their own name for the Danish shelf
Six lines, mixed to your list.
Each line travels on its own pallet; the container is mixed. Outside the core range we source on request and load it in the same shipment.

What stays the same on every offer.
Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.
- Entry and the trade agreement
- Denmark is in the EU and Türkiye is in the EU–Türkiye customs union, so processed confectionery under chapters 17 and 18 moves on an A.TR movement certificate rather than a free-trade origin proof. The offer states the tariff line and what applies on the day; rates are not published on this site because they change.
- Label
- A Danish label to Regulation (EU) 1169/2011: the ingredient list with allergens indicated, the nutrition declaration per 100 g, metric net quantity, the best-before date, and the name and address of the business placing the product on the market in the EU. Where a line is a compound coating rather than chocolate, EU rules do not allow it to be called chocolate; the offer says so per line and the name on the pack is checked before anything is printed.
- Naming
- On the Danish shelf lokum is asked for as tyrkisk delight or lokum. The pistachio jar is asked for as pistaciecreme; what we ship in jars is a spread and the offer says so. Dubai-style bars are asked for as dubai chokolade, and kadayıf as kadayif. The pick-and-mix format is bland selv slik and loose weight is løsvægt.
- Piece weight and count
- For the bland selv slik and løsvægt trade the piece weight and the count per carton matter more than the case weight. Both are stated per line in the offer, so your bin card and your price per piece work out.
- Seasonal formats
- The single biggest confectionery search in Denmark is the chocolate julekalender, and the påskeæg shelf follows it in spring. Neither is a stock line for us: a chokoladekalender or an Easter egg assortment is a format we confirm before quoting — what fits the window, the piece count and the printing. The offer states the lead time, and seasonal lines are ordered against that lead time rather than against the season, because the season is the one date that will not move.
- Route
- Sea freight from Mersin to Aarhus, Copenhagen or Hamburg with onward haulage, or a road trailer from Gaziantep across Europe. The port of arrival and the delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, are stated in the offer together with the transit.
- Heat
- Chocolate and chocolate-coated products travel at +18/+20 °C. For a mixed container in the warm months we quote a reefer; if you prefer a dry container, the temperature risk goes to you in writing before loading. Lokum, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry all year.
- Certificates
- Held for our factory in Gaziantep: food-safety (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP), Halal and Kosher certificates. The holder is named per line and copies are available on request; a line without a certificate is stated as such rather than covered by a general claim.
- Currency
- US dollars or euros, stated on the quotation, valid thirty days from its date unless it states otherwise. Prices are not quoted in kroner.
- On request
- Couverture and chocolate for pastry work, bulk chocolate by the kilo, bulk pistachio filling, raw pistachios, baklava, halva and tahini are outside the core range. They are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting, and load them in the same container.
Private label chocolate and confectionery for Danish brands
Looking for a producer to make a bar or a bulk carton under your own name? Nordic co-packers come first for a classic Danish tablet or a liquorice line, and for that they are the right answer. We are the other route: the pistachio and kadayıf end, made in Gaziantep under your name, with the label content prepared to EU rules in Danish.
Private label for Danish brands →Asked before the first list.
Do you work with importers and wholesalers in Denmark?
We quote for food importers and distributors, slik wholesalers supplying shops, kiosks and the bland selv slik wall, konditori suppliers, Turkish and Middle Eastern grocery importers, and Danish brands that want their own label. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and the port of arrival; the written offer follows within two working days.
Does the A.TR certificate cover a shipment to Denmark?
Yes. Denmark is in the EU and processed confectionery under chapters 17 and 18 moves inside the EU–Türkiye customs union on an A.TR movement certificate. The offer states which document travels with your container, together with the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day.
Who prepares the Danish label?
We prepare the content from our technical data sheet to Regulation (EU) 1169/2011: ingredients with allergens indicated, the nutrition declaration per 100 g, metric net quantity, the best-before date, and the name and address of the business placing the product on the market. You place it in your artwork and approve the final version in writing.
Can you supply for the bland selv slik wall?
Bulk is a format our factory is built for. Dragées, sugared almonds, coated nuts, jellies and bulk lokum come in bulk cartons for repacking and for the pick-and-mix wall; the piece weight and the count per carton are stated per line in the offer, because those are the numbers the bin card runs on.
Can you make a chocolate julekalender or påskeæg assortment?
Those are seasonal formats rather than stock lines. Mini chocolates, filled balls, pralines and mini bars are running items; putting them behind a printed calendar window or into an Easter assortment is confirmed first — the piece count, the tray and the printing. The offer states what is runnable and the lead time, and a seasonal line is ordered against that lead time, not against the season.
Is Turkish confectionery already sold in Denmark?
Only in a small way, and at the top of the range. On the most recent trade figures Türkiye is the fourteenth source of Denmark's chocolate imports and the seventeenth of its sugar confectionery, at well under one per cent each — but the unit value is around three times what the same producers ship to the Balkans. We are the alternative on specific lines, not the incumbent.
Do you supply couverture or chocolate for pastry work?
Couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, tahini and halva sit outside the core range. They are sourced on request: we confirm the cocoa content, the format and the packing before quoting, and they load in the same container as the rest of your list.
What is the minimum order?
One full container, 20 ft or 40 ft, or one full trailer, mixed across as many lines as you like. We do not ship part loads. The minimum per line is stated in the offer.
Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?
Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
