Cases of chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight consolidated for one container in Gaziantep
Who we quote for

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.

We quote for food importers and distributors in Eswatini, for confectionery wholesalers and cash-and-carry operators that buy by the carton, for retail and convenience chains, for hotels, lodges and catering suppliers, and for brands that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight packed under their own name. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like — which in a market this size is the only sensible way to get a wide range without waiting for somebody else's regional warehouse to release it. We are a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, Türkiye; the chocolate, dragée, Turkish delight and confectionery lines are made in our own factory in Gaziantep.

The trade figures here are mirror figures: this country does not report its own imports, so the only available view is what everybody else recorded shipping in, and the notes below set out what that does and does not prove. On 2024 mirror data the chocolate arriving came to 3,543,575 US dollars — South Africa 99.8 per cent, India 0.2 per cent, Israel rounding to nothing. Sugar confectionery, the larger of the two columns, came to 9,028,349 US dollars — South Africa 99.9 per cent, Israel 0.1 per cent, India rounding to nothing. Türkiye appears in neither column. Two things follow, and this page is built on both of them. The shelf is not empty; it is full, and filled from one place, so nobody here needs telling that confectionery exists. And there is no established Turkish lane into this market to lean on, which means a first container cannot rest on anybody's precedent: the route, the point of entry, the document set and the price per line all have to be written down before anything moves.

The search side answers the same way from the other direction. Two rounds of English measurement on real Eswatini geography returned 452 raw phrases. Two of them clear a twenty-a-month threshold, together worth 40 searches a month, and the wholesale, import and distributor share of that is zero. Ten autocomplete seeds returned 100 suggestions and not one of them turned into a trade query either. So this page is not written to be found in a search box, and there is no point pretending otherwise. It is written for the buyer who reached us some other way — at a table, through an agent, or by a message — and now wants to see, before a call, what we actually sell, how a container is built, and what goes into an offer in writing.

We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.

  • Food importers and distributors supplying supermarkets, groceries and regional wholesalers, and wanting one supplier for chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight and wrapped confectionery rather than four
  • Confectionery wholesalers and cash-and-carry operators buying by the carton and by the kilo, with case weight, pack count and lead time stated per line instead of averaged across the order
  • Retail and convenience chains looking for a line that does not arrive in the same wrapper as the one the shop across the street is already selling
  • Hotels, lodges and catering suppliers buying assortments, mini-bar lines and boxed sweets for guests, conferences and gifting, where a small quantity of several lines is worth more than a pallet of one
  • Brands and retail chains that want a tablet, a bar, a dragée doypack or a Turkish delight box made under their own name rather than somebody else's

Eswatini notes

What stays the same on every offer.

Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.

These figures are mirrored, not reported
Eswatini does not report its own import statistics to the international trade database. What exists instead is a mirror image, assembled from the export declarations that every other country filed against this destination. On 2024 mirror data that is 3,543,575 US dollars of chocolate and 9,028,349 US dollars of sugar confectionery. Read it as a direction, not as a settled number. Every partner that reports late, partially or not at all moves the shares in that table, and nobody outside the customs houses knows by how much. We publish it because it decides what this page may honestly claim, not because it is exact — and the one claim it clearly does not support is that anybody is short of confectionery here.
One source, and two names that round to nothing
On the same figures, 99.8 per cent of the chocolate and 99.9 per cent of the sugar confectionery come from South Africa. The names that follow — India at 0.2 per cent on one column and Israel at 0.1 per cent on the other — are fractions of a per cent, which makes them rounding rather than alternatives. That is a working shelf, not a gap, and a pitch that opens by calling it empty is wrong before it starts. What a buyer in this position actually carries is concentration: one origin, one border, one set of trucks, one factory calendar, one price list. A second source does not undo any of that, and sizing one as though it could is how a first order goes wrong. It is insurance — a different range, a different route and a different production schedule, large enough to matter in the week the first source does not deliver, small enough that it does not tie up working capital while the first source is fine.
Türkiye is in neither column, and what a first container therefore looks like
We are not going to dress this up: on the mirror data Türkiye does not appear among the sources for either chocolate or sugar confectionery in this market. There is no worn path here, no precedent to point at and no reference consignment to copy, so a first order is treated as a first order. That means samples from our running production before anything is committed; one mixed container rather than a programme, so that several lines are tested on your shelf at the cost of one box; the document set and the point of entry agreed in writing before production is booked rather than discovered at the border; and price, case weight, lead time and delivery term stated per line so that the second order can be judged against something. If a line cannot be confirmed, it stays out of the offer instead of being promised into it.
Landlocked: how the goods arrive, and what shares a container
There is no seaport in this country, so every container finishes overland whatever its origin — including the goods that fill the shelf today. From our side the sea leg runs from Mersin, about three hours by road from our factory in Gaziantep, and the inland leg follows from the port of entry across a land border. Delivery terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, and the offer names the port of entry, the delivery term, who carries the inland leg and who declares the goods, rather than leaving any of it to be worked out at the crossing; your clearing agent confirms what applies on the day. Temperature belongs to the same question. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer through the warm months, while Turkish delight, dragées, jellies and wrapped confectionery travel dry, and both can share one container — but on a route that ends overland the cold chain has to be booked for the whole journey rather than the sea part of it, so the offer states which lines are reefer lines.
Label, in English
English carries the mandatory information: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer's name and address, and the date marking. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for own-label lines we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed. One discipline we do not bend: a line coated in vegetable fat is named a compound or a glaze on the data sheet, on the pack and in the price list, never chocolate. In the European Union such a coating may not be labelled chocolate at all, and we keep the two words apart on every route for the same reason — a buyer who finds out at the shelf finds out too late.
The customs file, and what the importer holds
The origin document and the rules that apply are named in the offer in the form valid on the day, rather than guessed at on this page. Preference arrangements and duty treatment change, and a figure printed here would be stale before it was useful; the clearing agent is the one who confirms it for the consignment in front of them. From our side you receive the technical data sheet per product, our certificates and the analysis report per line. Certificates — food safety, halal and kosher where they exist — are issued for our factory, and we name the holder and the certifying body per line. Registration and the entry of the consignment remain the importer's to hold and to file.
The search measurement, printed in full
Two rounds of English keyword measurement on real Eswatini geography, plus a free autocomplete pass: 452 raw phrases, 2 of them above a twenty-a-month threshold, 40 searches a month between them, and zero of that in wholesale, import or distributor phrasing. Ten autocomplete seeds returned 100 suggestions, all of them consumer-side. We print the numbers rather than tidying them away, because they decide what this page is for. This trade will not be found through a search box in this market, so the page is not written to rank; it exists so that a buyer who already reached us can check the range, the container and the paperwork before spending time on a call.
The filled bar behind both of the phrases
Both phrases that clear the threshold name the same thing: a thick filled bar with a pistachio filling, at 20 searches a month under its full spelling and 20 more under the short form. That is the whole of the above-threshold English search here — one format, spelled two ways — which is far too little to build a page on, and quite enough to tell us what the shelf is curious about. We treat it as a specification question rather than an order. Tell us the filling, the bar weight and whether you want a wrapper or a box, and we confirm which Gaziantep line comes closest, what pistachio content we declare on the technical data sheet, and whether the coating is chocolate or compound, before quoting. If nothing matches closely enough, we say so instead of sending something approximate and letting the shelf discover the difference.
Sourced on request
The core range is chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and spreads in jars. Everything else is sourced on request rather than claimed as ours: couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, baklava, halva, tahini and empty packaging. We confirm composition and format before quoting, and anything that cannot be confirmed stays out of the offer. What is confirmed loads in the same container as the rest, which is usually the practical reason to ask in the first place.
Currency and payment
Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer only: a deposit with the order and the balance before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. The split, the banking route and the document set that applies are written into the offer and settled before production starts, rather than after the pallets are wrapped.

Private label chocolate and confectionery for Eswatini brands

When the shop across the street imports the identical carton, the wrapper is the only part of the shelf you can own. We run the lines in our factory; your name goes on them — tablets, bars, dragées in doypacks, printed gift boxes, Turkish delight and spreads in jars — with English label content built from our data sheet and no print run before your written approval.

Questions

Asked before the first list.

Do you work with importers and wholesalers in Eswatini?

We are open to quoting for food importers and distributors, confectionery wholesalers and cash-and-carry operators, retail and convenience chains, hotels, lodges and catering suppliers, and own-brand buyers. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and the delivery point, and the written offer follows within two working days.

Nearly the whole shelf already arrives from one neighbour. Why add a source from Türkiye?

Not to replace it — to sit beside it. Concentration is the risk: on the mirror figures 99.8 per cent of the chocolate and 99.9 per cent of the sugar confectionery come from one country, and the next names on the list are fractions of a per cent, so one border, one calendar and one price list decide your shelf. A second source changes the range on offer, including Turkish delight and dragée lines the shelf may not carry at all; it shortens the chain, since one container can consolidate several lines on one order and one document set; and it puts price per line, case weight, lead time and delivery term in writing before the goods move.

Türkiye does not appear in the import figures for this market at all. What does that mean for a first order?

It means there is no precedent here to copy, and we would rather say so than imply one. In practice a first order is built accordingly: samples from our running production first, then one mixed container instead of a programme, so several lines are tested at the cost of one box. The point of entry, the document set, the origin document, the delivery term and the price per line are agreed in writing before production is booked so the second order can be judged against the first.

The country is landlocked. How does a container reach us, and is it a reefer?

The sea leg runs from Mersin, about three hours by road from our factory in Gaziantep, and the inland leg follows from the port of entry across a land border. Delivery terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, and the offer names the port of entry, the delivery term, the inland leg and who declares the goods; your clearing agent confirms what applies on the day. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer through the warm months while Turkish delight, dragées and jellies travel dry, and because the journey ends overland the offer states which lines are reefer lines so the cold chain covers the inland leg too.

Which language does the label need?

English for the mandatory information: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer's name and address, and the date marking. For own-label lines we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed. A vegetable-fat coating is named as a compound or a glaze and never as chocolate.

Can baklava, tahini or chocolate in bulk go into the same container?

Not from our own range. Baklava, tahini, halva, couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa and empty packaging are sourced on request: we confirm composition and format before quoting, and we say so plainly rather than listing them as ours. Our range is chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and spreads in jars.

Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?

Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
