Turkish confectionery, lokum, Dubai-style bars and dragées for importers and wholesalers in Georgia

One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye, into Georgia: lokum plain and with whole pistachio, pistachio and kadayıf bars, chocolate dragées and sugared almonds by colour, jellies in bulk cartons and pistachio spread — with the label content prepared in Georgian and the minimum counted per line.

Cases of chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight consolidated for one container in Gaziantep
Who we quote for

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.

Georgia imported about a hundred and twenty-eight million dollars of chocolate and thirty-seven million dollars of sugar confectionery in the most recent full year. Türkiye was the fourth source of chocolate at around eight per cent and the third of confectionery at nearly thirteen, behind Russia and Ukraine in both. It is a short land route and an established one.

The unit values place the Turkish lines in the middle of the table — around five dollars a kilo in chocolate against Russia's under four and Poland's near ten. That is the practical footing: not the cheapest tier, not the imported-premium tier, but the step where a filled or speciality line can earn a listing.

One local fact is worth stating before the first list. Baklava is not a foreign product here — Georgian search returns Adjarian baklava, a regional version made in the country. So the Turkish container does not introduce the category; it supplies the ends the local version does not cover, which is the pistachio and kadayıf side.

We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.

  • Food importers and distributors that clear their own entries and supply retail chains and specialist shops.
  • Ტკბილეული wholesalers and cash-and-carry buying by the carton, with bulk jellies and dragées for the weighed counter.
  • The Turkish-goods trade — the shops and online sellers whose category is Turkish sweets, already listing lokum by the kilo.
  • Ho.re.ca. and the tourist trade, where a short land route makes small, frequent mixed loads practical.
  • Georgian brands and retailers that want the same lines under their own name — the route is set out on the private label page.

Georgia notes

What stays the same on every offer.

Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.

Entry and the framework
Imported food is declared by the importer, who answers for its conformity with the national food safety rules and for the label. We supply the ground for it per line — our technical data sheet, the ingredient list and allergens, net weight, the batch analysis report and the customs tariff heading. Rates and lists change; the offer states what applies on the day.
The label is Georgian
The mandatory particulars are in Georgian, in the Georgian script, and the company that first places the goods on the market is named on the pack. We prepare the content from our technical data sheet; your labelling office or your own team signs it off.
Baklava is local here
Georgian search returns Adjarian baklava — a regional version made in the country — alongside recipes. The category is not new and a Turkish container is not introducing it. What the local version does not cover is the pistachio and kadayıf end: whole-pistachio and double-roasted lokum, kadayıf-wrapped lines and the Dubai-style bar.
Lokum is sold here by the kilo
The Turkish-sweets shops list rahat-lokum by weight, priced per kilo, which tells you the format the trade actually buys: bulk inner units rather than retail boxes alone. Both travel in the same container, and the offer gives the case size and the inner unit per line.
One word means something else here
The Georgian word for dragée returns pharmacy results — coated tablets and supplements — rather than confectionery. It is a false friend worth knowing before a listing conversation: our dragées are described by what they are, sugared almonds and chocolate-coated nuts and fruit centres, sorted by colour and calibre.
A short land route
Georgia is a land neighbour of Türkiye, so the transit is among the shortest on this site. That matters more than a discount on a first, cautious order: smaller mixed loads become practical, and the temperature exposure in the warm months is measured in days rather than weeks.
Who the label names
The address on the pack is yours, not ours. Certificates — food safety, halal and kosher — are held for our factory; copies are available on request. A line without a certificate is named as such.
Coating and what may be called chocolate
A vegetable-fat glaze may not be labelled chocolate in the EU. Some lines carry a cocoa glaze and some carry real chocolate, and the difference is invisible in a photograph. We state which it is per line and the technical data sheet says so before anything goes to print.
Temperature and the season
Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines travel at +18/+20 °C. For a mixed container in the warm months we offer a reefer; if you prefer a dry container the temperature risk passes to you, in writing, before loading. Lokum, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry all year, so the offer states the regime per group rather than for the load as a whole.
Halal and kosher
We name the issuing body and the scheme per line, and the copy is available on request. The certificate is held for our factory. A line without one is named as such rather than covered by a general claim.
Outside the range
Couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, empty packaging, baklava, halva and tahini sit outside our standing range. They are sourced on request: we take your specification to production, confirm composition and format, and come back with what can actually be supplied — or a clear no. Either answer comes in writing within two working days.

Questions

Asked before the first list.

Do you work with importers and wholesalers in Georgia?

Yes — food importers and distributors, ტკბილეული wholesalers and cash-and-carry, the Turkish-goods trade, ho.re.ca., and Georgian brands wanting their own label.

Where does Türkiye sit in Georgian imports?

Fourth in chocolate at around eight per cent and third in sugar confectionery at nearly thirteen, behind Russia and Ukraine in both. It is an established route rather than a new one.

Why buy Turkish baklava when Georgia makes its own?

For plain baklava, often no reason — Adjarian baklava is a local product. The room is at the pistachio end: whole-pistachio and double-roasted lokum, kadayıf-wrapped lines and the Dubai-style bar, where the ingredients are made in Gaziantep.

In what format does the trade buy lokum here?

By weight. The Turkish-sweets shops list it per kilo, so bulk inner units matter as much as retail boxes. Both can travel in the same container and the offer gives the case size and inner unit per line.

How long does the freight take?

Georgia is a land neighbour, so the transit is among the shortest on this site. The routing and the lead time are stated in the offer for the order in hand.

How does the load travel in summer?

Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines travel at +18/+20 °C. In the warm months we offer a reefer; with a dry container the temperature risk passes to the buyer, in writing, before loading. Lokum, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry all year.

What is the minimum and how is it paid?

The sales unit is a full container or trailer and we do not ship partial loads, but the minimum is counted per line, so one load can carry six or seven lines in modest quantities. Payment is half with the order and half before the container leaves, against loading photographs.

Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?

Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
