- Standards, permit and entry
- Imported food is checked against the Jamaican standard, and the importer holds the import permit where the line needs one and the registration with the authorities. We supply what the entry needs, the technical data sheet, our certificates and the analysis report per line and states what applies to each line on the day.
- Label
- An English label to the Jamaican standard: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage, the production and expiry dates and the name and address of the importer. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack carries; for private label we prepare the label content and check your artwork against it before anything is printed.
- Customs
- Jamaica applies the Caribbean common external tariff and there is no free trade agreement between Jamaica and Türkiye; the offer states the tariff line for each product and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before you order.
- The resort shelf
- A large share of the chocolate eaten in Jamaica is eaten inside an all-inclusive resort, and it reaches the resort through a supplier that buys by the pallet. Is the chocolate real chocolate or compound?
Both exist, for different shelves. The offer states per line whether it is chocolate or compound-coated, so an importer can put the right line in the supermarket chiller and the resort, and the right line on the corner shop shelf.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate lines, yes, year round on this route; compound lines and dry lines are quoted as the offer states.
Can you make a resort’s or a brand’s own line?
Yes, as one of our core services: turndown chocolates, tablets, boxes and dragées under your name. We prepare the label content, you approve the artwork in writing, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer.
