Turkish chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight for importers and free-zone traders in Panama
One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye, to Colón: chocolate, dragées for weddings and baptisms, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and pistachio products, for the Panamanian shelf and for onward trade out of the free zone. Spanish label content is prepared line by line, and chocolate travels in a reefer while Turkish delight and sugared almonds travel dry. Written offer in US dollars within two working days of your list.

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.
We quote for Panamanian food importers and distributors that fill the supermarket, the minisuper and the wholesale shop from Panama City to David, for the traders and re-exporters of the Colón Free Zone that buy for the region rather than for one shelf, for the suppliers of the duty-free counters, the cruise calls and the airport, and for brands and gift companies that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight made under their own name. If you are a food importer or a confectionery distributor looking for chocolate wholesale Panama can price by the carton, for Turkish chocolate a customer has asked you about, for the Dubai chocolate — the pistachio and kadayif bar — that people here have been searching for by the hundred, for pistachio spread in jars, or for Turkish delight for the gift shelf, this is what we quote for. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like, each line on its own pallet.
The sweet shelf here is import-fed, and Panama's own trade is built on moving other people's boxes: a container that lands in Colón can go onto a Panamanian shelf, or leave again for Central America, the Caribbean and the north of South America without ever being nationalised. Both are quoted the same way from our side and handled differently on paper, and the difference is the label and the file, not the product. Everything on this site is made in Gaziantep, in our own factory. That is what lets one container carry five product groups, and lets us check a lot before it is packed and photograph the pallets before the doors close.
We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.
- Food importers and distributors that supply supermarkets, minisupers and wholesale shops from Panama City to David
- Colón Free Zone traders and re-exporters buying for Central America, the Caribbean and the north of South America rather than for one shelf
- Duty-free, cruise and airport suppliers stocking the travel counters on both sides of the isthmus
- Panamanian brands and gift companies buying dragées and boxes by the carton for weddings, baptisms and communions, or wanting a line made under their own name
Six lines, mixed to your list.
Each line travels on its own pallet; the container is mixed. Outside the core range we source on request and load it in the same shipment.

What stays the same on every offer.
Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.
- The free zone and the shelf
- Two boxes leave us the same way and land in Panama differently. A container consigned into the Colón Free Zone stays there until it is sold on, and much of what sits in the zone leaves again for Central America, the Caribbean and the north of South America; a container for the Panamanian market is nationalised on entry and goes to the importer's warehouse. Tell us which one you are when you send the list: it changes the consignee, the label content and the paperwork, not the product, and one container can be planned across both if you hold both sides of the business.
- What goes in the container
- Five families, each on its own pallet: chocolate in tablets, mini bars and boxes; dragées, sugared almonds and chocolate-coated nuts; Turkish delight, plain, with pistachio and chocolate covered; wrapped confectionery and jellies; and pistachio products, including the spread in jars that readers here look for as pistachio cream. Case weight per line is written into the offer. Turrón is a December word in Panama and it is not a Gaziantep line; what we quote is what sits beside it on the same gift shelf. Outside this range — couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo, pistachio paste in buckets, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa powder, halva and empty packaging — items are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting.
- Label
- A Spanish label for the Panamanian shelf: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net content, lot, the production and expiry dates, storage, and the name and address of the importer. Where a line is coated with vegetable fat rather than cocoa butter it is not named as chocolate; the offer says chocolate or compound per line and the label follows the offer. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for private label we prepare the label content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed. A box that leaves the free zone again carries the label of the market it is going to, so name the destination with the order.
- Entry and certificates
- The registration and the permit a line needs sit with the importer, not with us. From our side every line comes with our technical data sheet, the analysis report and our certificates, named line by line rather than claimed for the whole container in the offer. The export documents travel as one set for the whole container, whichever families it carries.
- Customs
- Goods held in the Colón Free Zone are not nationalised while they stay in the zone; duty becomes a question the day a box leaves it for the Panamanian market, and a box that leaves for another country enters under the rules of that market. Either way the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before you order.
- Dubai chocolate and pistachio spread
- The pistachio and kadayif bar that Panama has been searching for is made in Gaziantep too, where the pistachio grows and the kadayif is made, in retail and gift formats in our standard packs or under yours. Pistachio spread in jars travels with it — the jar a shopper here asks for as pistachio cream — and we confirm the pistachio content and the jar format before quoting.
- Route
- Sea freight from Mersin to Colón on the Caribbean side, which is where a box from the Mediterranean lands without crossing the canal; Balboa, on the Pacific side, on request. The delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, the transshipment port and the transit are stated in the offer. The crossing is tropical and Panama has no cool month, so chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer year round; Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry.
- Currency and payment
- Offers in US dollars, the currency in circulation in Panama alongside the balboa, so the figure you read is the figure you price against. Bank transfer only: 50% with the order, 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs.
Private label chocolate and confectionery for Panamanian brands
Brands, gift companies and free-zone traders that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight under their own name: we put our own lines under your brand — tablets, mini bars, dragées in doypacks, gift boxes, Turkish delight boxes and jars — with the Spanish label content prepared from our technical data sheet and nothing printed before you approve the artwork.
Private label for Panamanian brands →Asked before the first list.
Do you work with importers and free-zone traders in Panama?
We quote for food importers and distributors, Colón Free Zone traders and re-exporters, duty-free, cruise and airport suppliers, and own-brand companies in Panama. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind, the port and whether the box is for the Panamanian market or for onward trade; the written offer follows within two working days.
Can the container be consigned into the Colón Free Zone?
Yes, and that is the normal case for a buyer who sells on to the region. It changes the consignee, the label content and the file, not the way the container is loaded. A box for the Panamanian shelf is quoted the same way, with the Spanish label content prepared for it.
Do you supply turrón?
No. Turrón is not a Gaziantep line, and we would rather say so than send you something near it. What we quote is what sits on the same gift shelf in December: boxed Turkish delight, sugared almonds and chocolate dragées, pistachio bars and gift boxes.
Is the chocolate real chocolate or compound?
Both exist, for different shelves and different prices. The offer states per line whether it is chocolate or coated with vegetable fat, so the label is right and the line goes where it belongs: the supermarket chiller, the minisuper shelf, or the box that leaves the free zone again.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate and chocolate-coated lines, yes, year round on this route: Panama is warm in every month and the crossing is tropical. Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry, and a mixed container is planned around that split.
Can you make a Panamanian brand's own line?
Yes, as one of our core services: tablets, mini bars, dragées in doypacks, gift boxes and Turkish delight under your name, with the Spanish label content prepared and nothing printed before you approve the artwork. The minimum per line is stated in the offer.
What is the minimum order?
One full container, 20 ft or 40 ft, mixed across the lines you choose, each line on its own pallet. The minimum per line is written into the offer.
Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?
Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
