Cases of chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight consolidated for one container in Gaziantep
Who we quote for

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.

We quote for food importers and distributors in Syria, for confectionery wholesalers that move cartons rather than cases, for the gift and occasion trade, for sweet shops and pastry houses, and for brands that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight made under their own name. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like. We are a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, Türkiye; the chocolate, dragée, Turkish delight and confectionery lines are made in our own factory in Gaziantep.

Most market pages on this site begin by arguing that Turkish confectionery belongs on the shelf. Here that argument is already finished. On the only trade figures available for this market — mirror figures, explained below — Türkiye is not one source among several, it is very nearly the entire column: roughly 97.7 per cent of the chocolate and roughly 99.5 per cent of the sugar confectionery arriving in 2024. Telling a buyer in Syria to buy Turkish is telling them what they already do. So this page does not do that. Four things are genuinely open, and they are what the offer answers: which line, in which format and case weight, under whose label, and how much of it is written down — price, lead time, delivery term, document set — instead of agreed on the phone and remembered differently later.

The search side says the same thing from the other direction. Across the Arabic phrases we counted for this market above a twenty-a-month threshold — 364 phrases, about 31,050 searches a month, the largest Arabic-language set we measured in this project — not a single one is a wholesale, import or distributor query. The buying side of this trade does not search; it calls, and it already knows the product. What the public search results do show is where a buyer who does look online ends up: Arabic queries fill with Gulf online retail, French ones with wholesalers in France and Spain, English ones with trade-statistics pages written for researchers rather than importers. Each of those is a shop window or a re-sold shelf. A container consolidated in Gaziantep and shipped directly removes a step from that chain, and we are open to quoting it in writing.

We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.

  • Food importers and distributors supplying supermarkets, groceries and regional wholesalers, and wanting one supplier for chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight and wrapped confectionery instead of four
  • Confectionery wholesalers buying by the carton and by the kilo, for shops and the sweets trade, with case weight and lead time stated per line
  • The gift and occasion trade — the largest single search group we measured here — buying printed retail boxes, mini-bar assortments and dragée cartons for weddings, births and the religious seasons
  • Sweet shops and pastry houses that sell Turkish delight, malban-format sweets and coated nuts alongside their own production
  • Brands and retail chains that want a tablet, a bar, a dragée doypack or a Turkish delight box made under their own name rather than someone else's wrapper

Syria notes

What stays the same on every offer.

Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.

What the mirror figures say — and what they do not
Syria does not report its own import statistics to the international trade database. The only view available is the mirror: what every other country recorded as exports to Syria, added together. On 2024 mirror data that is about 15.8 million US dollars of chocolate, with Türkiye first at roughly 97.7 per cent, and about 12.7 million US dollars of sugar confectionery, with Türkiye first at roughly 99.5 per cent — the highest Turkish share of any market measured in this project. Read it as a direction, not as a settled number. A partner that reports late, partially or not at all moves every share in that table, and nobody outside the customs houses knows by how much. We publish it because it changes what this page can honestly claim, not because it is exact.
Origin is not what this market decides
If the shelf is already Turkish, origin is not a selling point and we will not pretend it is one. What is still decided, order by order, is narrower and more useful: which line out of a wide range, in which format — wrapped bar, tablet, doypack, kilo carton, printed gift box — at which case weight, under whose label, and how much of the deal exists on paper before the money moves. Our answer to the last one is the same for every market: price per line, case weight, lead time, delivery term, payment schedule and document set, in one written offer, within two working days of your list.
Label, in Arabic
The mandatory information in Arabic, with English alongside where the importer's file or the shelf wants it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer's name and address, and the date marking. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for own-label lines we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork before anything is printed. One discipline we do not bend: a line coated in vegetable fat is named a compound or a glaze on the data sheet, on the pack and in the price list, never chocolate. The two words are kept apart, because a buyer who discovers the difference at the shelf discovers it too late.
The customs file, and what the importer holds
This file is national. No regional movement certificate carries it — an A.TR belongs to another route — and no EAC conformity declaration sits behind it, because that belongs to another region. The origin document and the rules that apply are named in the offer, and the offer states what applies on the day rather than this page guessing at it. From our side you receive the technical data sheet per product, our certificates and the analysis report per line. Lines with ingredients of animal origin, gelatine in jellies above all, travel with our halal certificate and the offer names the certifying body per line. The importer holds the registration and files the consignment.
Gifts and the occasion shelf
The largest single group in the Arabic search we measured for this market is the word for gifts, at roughly 1,300 searches a month across the phrases counted. That is consumer demand, not a purchase order, but it points at the part of the shelf that moves: printed retail boxes, mini-bar assortments, dragée cartons for weddings and births, and the religious seasons. Seasonal lines are quoted ahead of the season with the lead time stated per line, and a first order usually mixes them with the everyday shelf so one container serves both.
Pistachio, and the word the market uses
The second-largest term we measured is the Arabic phrase for pistachio, at roughly 880 searches a month — a phrase that literally reads as Aleppine and is simply the everyday word for the nut across the Levant and the Gulf. It is a product name, not a sourcing instruction, and we do not read it as one. Our pistachio lines are chocolate, dragée and Turkish delight products made in Gaziantep, and we state the pistachio content per line on the technical data sheet; we quote what we declare and no more. Raw pistachios and other nuts in bulk are outside what we make — see the note below.
Malban and the Turkish delight shelf
The third term, at roughly 720 searches a month, is malban. It is a Levantine shelf word rather than a single product, and it does not map cleanly onto one Turkish item: depending on who says it, it can mean the starch-and-nut sweet cut in sheets or the boxed lokum standing beside it. We do not guess at it in an offer. Tell us the format you mean — sheet or cut cube, walnut or pistachio, loose by the kilo or boxed — and we confirm which of our lines matches it before quoting. If none does, it is sourced on request and handled the same way.
Route, delivery terms and temperature
Delivery terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP. Our factory is in Gaziantep and Mersin port is about three hours away by road, so consolidation and loading sit inside a short window. The route, the point of entry, the delivery term and the transit are named in the offer, and your clearing agent confirms what applies on the day. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer through the warm months; Turkish delight, dragées and jellies travel dry, and both can share one container.
Sourced on request
The core range is chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and spreads in jars. Everything outside it is sourced on request rather than claimed: couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw pistachios and other nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, halva, tahini, baklava and empty packaging. We confirm composition and format before quoting, and if a line cannot be confirmed it does not go into the offer. What is confirmed loads in the same container as the rest.
Currency and payment
Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer only: 50 per cent with the order, 50 per cent before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. The offer states the banking route that applies on the day, and it is settled in writing before production starts rather than after the pallets are wrapped.

Private label chocolate and confectionery for Syrian brands

On a shelf that is already Turkish, the wrapper is the only thing left to own. We put our own lines under your name: tablets, bars, dragées in doypacks, gift boxes, Turkish delight boxes and spreads in jars, with the label content prepared in Arabic and nothing printed before you approve it.

Questions

Asked before the first list.

Do you work with importers and wholesalers in Syria?

We are open to quoting for food importers, distributors, confectionery wholesalers, the gift trade, sweet shops and own-brand buyers. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and the delivery point; the written offer follows within two working days.

Türkiye is already the main source on this shelf. What does buying from Gaziantep change?

Not the origin — that is settled. It changes the number of hands between the producer and your warehouse, and how much of the deal is written down. One container can carry chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and jars from our own factory on one order and one document set, with price, case weight, lead time and delivery term per line in the offer.

Which language does the label need?

Arabic for the mandatory information, with English alongside where the importer's file or the shelf wants it. For own-label lines we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork before anything is printed.

Do you supply raw pistachios and nuts in bulk?

Not from our own range. Raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo are sourced on request: we confirm composition and format before quoting, and we say so plainly rather than listing them as ours. Our pistachio products are finished chocolate, dragée and Turkish delight lines made in Gaziantep.

Do you have malban?

It depends what you mean by it, which is why we ask before quoting. Name the format — sheet or cut cube, walnut or pistachio, loose or boxed — and we confirm which of our lines matches, or source it on request if none does.

Which delivery terms do you quote, and is the container a reefer?

FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP; Mersin is about three hours from our factory by road. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer through the warm months, while Turkish delight, dragées and jellies travel dry, and both can travel in one container.

Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?

Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
