The other route

Made in Gaziantep, sold under your brand.

Where 94.8 per cent of the chocolate on the shelf arrives through a single neighbouring country, every trader ends up selling much the same wrapper at a slightly different price, and the only lever left is the price. A private-label run changes what is being compared. A tablet, a bar, a dragée doypack or a Turkish delight box carrying your own name cannot be undercut by a competitor buying the identical carton one border away — it is yours to price, to reorder and to build a shelf position on.

We are the manufacturer and exporter. Our factory is in Gaziantep; we arrange the run, prepare the label content in French, check the lot before packing, consolidate the pallets and load one container. The range and the paperwork stay in one place: several lines, one order, one document set, one arrival at the port your agent clears through. What is still yours to decide is the line, the format, the label and the minimum — and every one of those is written into the offer before anything is made.

Your label goes on lines produced in our own factory in Gaziantep.

How it works

Nothing printed before you approve.

  1. 01

    Lines and formats

You pick the lines off the product pages and say which pack format you want them in. We check each one: can it be run under your name, at what minimum, in what lead time, and is it chocolate or compound for the shelf you are aiming at. A line we cannot confirm stays out of the offer instead of being promised into it.

  2. 02

    Label content

We prepare the French label content, with English alongside if you want it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer's name and address, and the fields for the production and expiry dates we print on the pack. Every figure comes from our technical data sheet.

  3. 03

    Artwork

You send the artwork. We read it back against the label content and against what the pack can physically hold, flag what will not fit, and wait for your written approval of the final version. Printing starts after that and not before, and the file we run is the file you signed off.

  4. 04

    Production and shipping

We run the line, check the lot before packing, consolidate and photograph the pallets, and the container leaves — a reefer for chocolate lines through the warm months, dry for Turkish delight, dragées and jellies — with the document set for entry, the origin document named in the offer, and the halal certificates per line where they apply. The port of entry and who arranges the inland haul are fixed in the offer, not after loading.

The honest part

What to know before the first list.

Label, in French
The mandatory information in French, with English alongside where your file or the shelf wants it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer's name and address, and the date marking. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for own-label lines we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork before anything is printed. One discipline we do not bend: a line coated in vegetable fat is named a compound or a glaze on the data sheet, on the pack and in the price list, never chocolate. The two words are kept apart, because a buyer who discovers the difference at the shelf discovers it too late.
Documents, certificates and who holds what
From our side you receive the technical data sheet per product, our certificates and the analysis report per line. Certificates are issued for our factory, and the offer names the holder and the certifying body per line; lines with ingredients of animal origin, gelatine in jellies above all, travel with our halal certificate. The origin document and the rules that apply are named in the offer as they stand on the day, rather than guessed at on a page, because they change and a page does not. The importer holds the registration and files the consignment, and where the goods cross a border inland your agent confirms what that leg requires before the container leaves us.
Minimums
We set them line by line and the offer repeats them back to you in writing. Because the unit of sale is one full container and your own-label lines may travel beside lines in our standard packs, a first run does not have to fill the box by itself, which matters at this market's size.
Certificates
Food-safety, halal and kosher certificates are held for our factory. The offer names the holder and the certifying body against each line and copies are available on request. We do not issue certificates, and we do not describe one we have not had in front of us.
Samples
Taken from our running production at no charge; the courier is yours and is paid before dispatch. Because they come off the line that is already running, the sample and the eventual run are the same product.
Lead time
Given per line in the offer, and the clock starts at the deposit and the approved artwork rather than at your first message. Printed packaging is normally the slowest part, which is why the artwork step is closed before production is booked at all.
What the label may not say
A vegetable-fat coating is a compound or a glaze, and that is the word that goes on the pack. We will not print chocolate over a line that is not chocolate, however the brief is worded, and the price list keeps the two apart for the same reason. This is the single point on which we will hold an artwork approval rather than argue about it later.
Brand and artwork
The brand and the artwork remain yours throughout. We run the version you approved, the packaging is printed against your order alone, and neither your artwork nor your recipe brief is shown to another buyer.
Currency and payment
Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer: 50 per cent with the order, 50 per cent before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. The offer states the banking route that applies on the day, agreed in writing before production starts.
Questions

Asked by brands first.

Are you the manufacturer?

Yes. Chocolate, dragées, pistachio and hazelnut creams, popping candy and Turkish delight are made in our own factory in Gaziantep, and we have exported since 2002. We run your private-label lines, check the lot before packing and load the container at our factory.

Is a private-label run worth it in a market this small?

That is the right question to ask first, and the answer is a calculation rather than a slogan. A run is worth it when you can sell the minimum we set for that line within a reorder cycle you are comfortable with. We state the minimum and the lead time per line in the offer so you can do that arithmetic before committing, and a first container can carry lines in our standard packs alongside your own to keep the risk on one line rather than all of them.

Who prepares the label?

We draft it in French, adding English beside it if you want that, working from our technical data sheet rather than from memory. You drop it into your artwork, add the importer's details, and sign the final version off in writing before a single pack is printed.

What is the minimum?

There is no one answer, which is why the offer carries it line by line: a printed tablet, a dragée colour and a boxed Turkish delight each sit at a different level. Publishing one figure here would put a wrong number in front of most readers, and a wrong number is worse than none.

How does the container reach us with no coastline?

By sea to a port in a neighbouring country and then by road. Delivery terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP; Mersin is about three hours from our factory by road. The offer names the port of entry, the delivery term, who arranges the inland haul and whose agent files the consignment, so the road leg is agreed before the goods move rather than sorted out while they sit.

Are you a private label chocolate manufacturer?

Yes. Your label is printed in our own factory in Gaziantep after you approve the artwork, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer. Prices are not published; they come in the written offer.
