Made in Gaziantep, sold under your brand.
A distributor or a retail group in Mauritania that puts its own name on a sweet line is working against a shelf that arrives finished. Chocolate imports were 680,816 US dollars in 2024, with Spain first at 26.5%, and the sugar confectionery line was 1,844,871 US dollars. Those are goods bought in and marked up at least once on the way. An own-brand line changes the arithmetic in one place: the margin a second buyer takes between the factory and your shelf stays with you instead.
The measurement points at where to start. Malban is the most searched sweet line here, 590 searches a month out of 1,370 across the seven Arabic phrases that clear our threshold — a product the shopper already knows by name, which is the cheapest kind of own-brand launch there is. A printed malban box, a dragee line in your colours for the wedding trays and a pistachio tablet made where the pistachio grows can go on one order, from our own factory, with one set of documents.
We are a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, Turkiye. The two questions at the end are always the same: who makes it, and at what minimum. We make it in our own factory in Gaziantep. The minimum is set per line and stated in the offer, in writing, before you commit to artwork.
Your label goes on lines produced in our own factory in Gaziantep.
Five formats, one container.
Nothing printed before you approve.
- 01
Lines and formats
You name the lines from the product pages and the pack format. We confirm which of them can be made under your brand, at what minimum, in what lead time, and whether the line is chocolate or compound for the shelf you have in mind.
- 02
Label content
We prepare the label content in Arabic and French, with English alongside if you want it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer’s name and address, and the fields for the production and expiry dates we print on the pack. The data comes from our technical data sheet.
- 03
Artwork
You send the artwork; we check it against the label content and against what the pack physically allows, and you approve it in writing. Nothing is printed before that.
- 04
Production and shipping
We run the line in our factory, we check and photograph the pallets, and the container leaves Mersin for Nouakchott — in a reefer where chocolate lines are on board — with the document set, the analysis report per line and the halal certificates where they apply.
What to know before the first list.
- Label
- The mandatory information in Arabic and French, as the importer’s file requires, with English alongside where the trade wants it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer’s name and address, and the date marking. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for private label we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork before anything is printed.
- Minimums
- Set per line and stated in the offer. The unit of sale is one full container, which can mix your own-brand lines with lines in our standard packs, so a first own-label run does not have to fill the box on its own — the usual shape for a market this size.
- Certificates
- Held for our factory in Gaziantep: food-safety (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP), halal and kosher certificates. The holder and the certifying body are named per line and copies are available on request, so the importer can check them against what his file accepts before ordering.
- Samples
- Free of charge from our running production; you cover the courier, paid before dispatch. Samples are standard packs — the own-brand pack exists only after the artwork is approved.
- Lead time
- Stated per line in the offer and counted from the deposit and the approved artwork, not from the first enquiry. Printed packaging is usually the longest step, so it is confirmed before the production slot is booked.
- Chocolate and compound
- Some lines are coated with a vegetable fat rather than cocoa butter. They hold up better in heat, but they are a different declaration on the pack and we never use the same word for both. The offer says which is which, per line, before your artwork is drawn.
- Heat on this route
- Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer to Nouakchott, with the set temperature stated in the offer. If your own-brand line is meant for a shelf without a chiller, say so at the start and we will tell you which recipe and which coating to put forward. Malban, dragees and jellies travel dry.
- Documents and origin
- The origin document and the rules that apply are named in the offer, along with the tariff line per product. Nothing about duty is printed here. The importer files the consignment in his own name and holds the registration with the authority.
- Currency and payment
- Offers in US dollars; bank transfer, 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. The offer states the banking route that applies on the day.
Asked by brands first.
Are you the manufacturer?
Yes. Chocolate, dragées, pistachio and hazelnut creams, popping candy and Turkish delight are made in our own factory in Gaziantep, and we have exported since 2002. We run your private-label lines, check the lot before packing and load the container at our factory.
Who prepares the label?
We prepare the content in Arabic and French from our technical data sheet, with English alongside if you want it. You place it in your artwork, add the importer’s details, and approve the final version in writing before anything is printed.
What is the minimum for an own-brand line?
It is set per line and stated in the offer. It is not the same for a printed retail box as it is for a wrapped bar or a dragee colour, so the list of lines you want is what decides it.
Which line should an own brand start with here?
That is your call, but the measurement is not ambiguous: malban is the most searched sweet line in this market, 590 a month out of 1,370 across the Arabic phrases above our threshold. A printed malban box asks less of the shopper than a new chocolate bar does, and it travels dry.
Can we mix own-brand lines with ordinary lines in one container?
Yes. The unit of sale is one full container and it can carry both, which is the usual shape of a first order and the reason a small market can still start with its own label.
Are you a private label chocolate manufacturer?
Yes. Your label is printed in our own factory in Gaziantep after you approve the artwork, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer. Prices are not published; they come in the written offer.
