Turkish chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight and confectionery for importers in Austria
One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye, for the Austrian trade: chocolate, dragées and coated nuts, Turkish delight, wrapped sweets and pistachio products. Austria has no coastline, so the load comes in over Koper or Hamburg and finishes by rail or truck to Wien, Linz or Graz. Written offer in US dollars within two working days of your list.

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.
We quote for Austrian food importers and distributors, for the Süßwaren-Großhandel that supplies supermarkets, Trafiken, forecourt shops and the Gastro trade by the carton, for the Turkish and oriental grocery chains of Wien, Graz and Linz, and for brands and Konditoreien that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight made under their own name. If you are looking for a Süßwaren Großhändler or a Schokolade Hersteller outside Austria, for lokum and Turkish delight for the gift shelf, for the Dubai chocolate the Austrian shelf now carries, for sugared almonds and chocolate dragées by the carton, or for pistachio spread in jars, this is what we quote for. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like.
Everything on this site is made in Gaziantep, in our own factory. That is what lets one container carry five product groups, and lets us check a lot before it is packed and photograph the pallets before the doors close. It also means an Austrian buyer is quoting at origin rather than through the wholesale layer in Germany that feeds a good part of this shelf.
We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.
- Food importers and distributors that supply supermarkets, discounters, Trafiken and forecourt shops across Austria
- Confectionery wholesalers and Gastro suppliers adding Turkish delight, sugared almonds, chocolate dragées or wrapped sweets to a carton list
- Turkish and oriental grocery chains in Wien, Graz and Linz buying the lines their customers already know by name
- Brands and Konditoreien that want a line made under their own name, or a format the Austrian shelf already recognises
Six lines, mixed to your list.
Each line travels on its own pallet; the container is mixed. Outside the core range we source on request and load it in the same shipment.

What stays the same on every offer.
Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.
- Label
- A German-language label to the EU food information rules: the ingredient list with allergens emphasised, the nutrition declaration per 100 g, metric net quantity, the best before date and the name and EU address of the food business responsible for the product. German compound names decide a lot on a Turkish product — Pistazienpaste, Schokoladendragee, Lokum — so we write the label content out in full and check it against your artwork before anything is printed.
- Customs and entry
- Austria is in the EU, and Türkiye and the EU are in a customs union: chocolate and confectionery travel with an A.TR movement certificate, and the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before you order. The importer is registered as a food business with the competent authority, and where a line contains dairy, as milk chocolate does, the EU rules for composite products apply and the attestation the entry needs is drawn up from our documents. Nothing about duty is printed on this site, because it changes.
- Route
- Austria has no coastline, so the container is quoted to a port and then inland: sea freight from Mersin to Koper with rail or truck on to Wien, Linz or Graz is the usual way, Hamburg suits a buyer whose forwarder is set up there, and a road trailer through the Balkans is quoted on request. The port, the delivery term — FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP — and the onward leg are stated in the offer. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer for the warm months; Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry.
- Certificates
- Held for our factory in Gaziantep: food-safety (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP), Halal and Kosher certificates. The holder is named per line and copies are available on request, together with the technical data sheet the label content is built from.
- What goes in the container
- Chocolate, dragées and coated nuts, Turkish delight and special lokum, sugar confectionery, and pistachio products — five groups, each on its own pallet, mixed in one 20 ft or 40 ft load. Offers in US dollars within two working days of your list; bank transfer only, 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. Outside that range — couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, halva and the nougat sold here as türkischer Honig, plain packaging, baklava — items are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting.
- The wholesale layer in Germany
- Search the Austrian trade words and much of what comes back is German: the large Süßwaren-Großhandel sites and the online sweet wholesalers, and for lokum an Austrian shop sitting next to a German one. That is a fair picture of this shelf — a good part of it is fed through Germany, alongside the Austrian wholesale houses and the B2B directories the trade uses. Ordering a container at origin takes that layer out of the price. What it asks of you instead is a full load and the entry paperwork, which is what this page is about.
- Biscuit dragées, and what may be called chocolate
- Austria has its own household name for a coated biscuit dragée, and the format itself — a biscuit centre, a panned coating, a polished finish — is one the Gaziantep dragée lines run, in doypacks, tins and flowpacks. One thing decides the wording on the pack: under the EU cocoa and chocolate rules a coating made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter cannot be sold as chocolate. Every line in the offer says which it is, real chocolate or a compound coating, so the German label is right before the artwork is drawn.
- Dubai chocolate, pistachio and the Konditorei counter
- The pistachio and kadayıf bar reached Austria through the big brands and the shelf already carries a version of it; ours is the one made in Gaziantep, where the pistachio grows and the kadayıf is made, in retail and gift formats in our standard packs or under your brand. Pistachio spread in jars travels with it — Pistaziencreme is what the customer types and pistachio cream is the name they look for, but what is in the jar is a spread. Confectioners asking for couverture or pistachio paste by the kilo are asking outside our own range: those are sourced on request, and we confirm composition and format before quoting.
Private label chocolate and confectionery for Austrian brands
Austria is an own-brand shelf: discounter and grocer house brands do the volume, and nobody here needs the model explained. We are the same model at a different origin — our own lines under your name, in tablets, dragée doypacks, biscuit dragées, gift boxes, Turkish delight and pistachio spread jars, with the German label content prepared to the EU rules and nothing printed before you approve it.

Do you work with importers in Austria?
We quote for food importers, distributors, confectionery wholesalers, grocery chains and private-label brands in Austria. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and the entry point your forwarder uses; the written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars.
Austria is landlocked — how does the container arrive?
Sea freight from Mersin to Koper and rail or truck on to Wien, Linz or Graz is the usual way; Hamburg suits a buyer whose forwarder is set up there, and a road trailer through the Balkans is quoted on request. The offer states the port, the delivery term and the onward leg, and chocolate lines are quoted in a reefer for the warm months.
What paperwork does a container from Türkiye need in Austria?
The commercial documents, the A.TR movement certificate under the EU–Türkiye customs union, our technical data sheet and certificates per line, and for lines with dairy the composite-product attestation drawn up from our documents. The offer lists what travels with the container and states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day.
Can the wrapper say Schokolade?
Only where the line really is chocolate. Under the EU cocoa and chocolate rules a coating made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter is a compound coating and has to be described as one. The offer says which each line is, so the German label is decided before anything is printed.
Is the Turkish delight the real lokum?
Yes: starch-set lokum made in Gaziantep — dusted cubes, the pistachio roll, special lokum and chocolate covered lokum. Plain lines travel dry all year; the chocolate covered ones go in the reefer with the chocolate.
What about couverture, bulk nuts or baklava?
They are outside our own range. They are sourced on request, and we confirm composition and format before quoting; if they fit the load they travel in the same container.
What is the minimum order?
One full container, 20 ft or 40 ft, mixed across the lines you choose. The minimum per line is stated in the offer.
Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?
Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
