Chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight and confectionery from Gaziantep for importers in Barbados
One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye to Bridgetown: chocolate for the supermarket and the gift shelf, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped sweets and pistachio lines, quoted reference by reference against the list you already buy. Written offer in US dollars within two working days.

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.
We quote for food importers, confectionery wholesalers and own-brand retailers in Barbados, and for the buyers who keep the supermarket, minimarket, hotel and gift shelves stocked from Bridgetown. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like, so a first order does not have to be a pallet-deep bet on a single reference.
Barbados already knows this category. In 2025 the island imported 9,198,075 USD of chocolate (HS 1806) and 3,931,677 USD of sugar confectionery (HS 1704), around 13.1 million USD together, and Türkiye was the seventh largest supplier of chocolate by value. So the useful question here is not whether Turkish product sells on this shelf. It is which format, which price step and which line your present supplier does not carry, and that is a question an offer answers, not a brochure.
Everything on this site is made in Gaziantep, in our own factory. That is what lets one container carry chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped sweets and pistachio lines at once, and lets us check the lot before it is packed and photograph the pallets before the doors close. We have no shipping history to Barbados and we do not pretend otherwise: what we put on the table is a written offer, line by line, with.
We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.
- Food importers and distributors supplying supermarkets, minimarkets, pharmacies and the hotel and gift trade across Barbados
- Confectionery wholesalers buying chocolate, wrapped sweets, dragées and boxed lines by the carton
- Importers who already carry a Turkish line and want to widen the range, add a second producer behind it, or compare a specific reference in writing
- Retailers and brands that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight made under their own name for this market
Six lines, mixed to your list.
Each line travels on its own pallet; the container is mixed. Outside the core range we source on request and load it in the same shipment.

What stays the same on every offer.
Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.
- Türkiye is already on this shelf
- Of the 13.1 million USD of chocolate and sugar confectionery Barbados imported in 2025, chocolate alone was 9,198,075 USD, and Türkiye ranked seventh among the origins supplying it; in sugar confectionery it ranked twelfth. The category and the origin are both familiar here, which changes what an offer has to prove. It does not have to argue for Turkish chocolate in general. It has to show, reference by reference, what the format is, who makes it, what it costs landed and where it sits against the line you buy today.
- A second source is about range and continuity, not a cheaper invoice
- The United States accounts for 40.4% of what Barbados imports in these two categories. A shelf fed mostly from one origin inherits that origin's assortment, its seasonal gaps and its shipping calendar. A second source is worth having for the width of choice and for continuity when a line goes short, and that is the frame we quote in. If the answer on a given reference is that your present supplier is better placed, we will say so in the offer rather than shade it.
- What a search returns here, and why this page exists instead
- We measured 1,355 English search phrases for this market. Ten of them clear twenty searches a month and not one of those ten is a trade phrase; trade queries above that threshold measure zero. Search the trade terms anyway and no Barbadian domain ranks: 'confectionery distributor' returns wholesalers in the United States, 'wholesale sweets' returns United States marketplaces, and 'turkish delight wholesale' returns exporters in Türkiye. In other words the shelf here is quoted from Miami or London, and a container loaded in Gaziantep takes one step out of that chain. Since there is no search channel to meet you in, this page is written to prepare the offer: who makes it, what format it comes in, what the minimum per line is, how the load arrives and what the label will say.
- Dubai chocolate, from where the pistachio grows
- The one consumer query with real measured volume in Barbados is 'dubai chocolate', at roughly seventy searches a month. The pistachio and kadayıf bar behind it is made in Gaziantep, where the pistachio grows and the kadayıf is made, in retail and gift formats in our standard packs or under your brand. Pistachio spread in jars, often searched for as pistachio cream, travels in the same container.
- Turkish delight does not need explaining
- 'Turkish delight' and 'lokum turkish delight' each measure around twenty searches a month here. Small numbers, but they mean the category name is already understood, so the gift and souvenir shelf does not have to be taught what the product is before it sells. Boxed Turkish delight, the pistachio roll and chocolate-covered lokum travel dry, which matters on this route; the Turkish delight page lists the groups.
- Customs and CARICOM
- Barbados is a CARICOM member and sits inside the common market, so entry follows the national rules together with the CARICOM framework. There is no A.TR movement certificate and no free trade agreement between Barbados and Türkiye, so no preference certificate applies to these goods. Duty rates move, so we do not print one: the offer names the tariff line for each product and states what applies on the day it is written, which is what makes the landed cost checkable before you order.
- Route, term and temperature
- Sea freight from Mersin to Bridgetown, with the transshipment port, the transit time and the delivery term stated in the offer: FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP. Gaziantep to Mersin is about three hours by road, so consolidation and loading happen close to our factory. The route crosses the tropics and the island is warm in every season, so chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer year round. Vegetable-fat coated lines are named as compound or glaze in the offer and never described as chocolate; Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry.
- Label and entry documents
- An English label to the national standard: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the production and expiry dates and the importer's name and address. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for own-brand lines we prepare the label content and check your artwork against it before anything is printed. Entry is handled by the importer, and we supply what it needs per line: the technical data sheet, our certificates and the analysis report. Those documents go to you before the deposit.
- Currency and payment
- Offers in US dollars, valid for the period written on them. Bank transfer only: 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs of your pallets.
- Sourced on request
- Outside the core range we can buy in what your list needs and load it in the same container: couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, empty packaging, baklava, halva and tahini. These are sourced on request rather than made by us; we confirm composition and format before quoting, and the offer names who makes each one.
Private label chocolate and confectionery for Barbados brands
Own the line instead of reselling it: tablets, bars, dragées in doypacks, gift boxes, Turkish delight boxes and pistachio spread jars made in our Gaziantep factory under your own name, with the English label content prepared, our documents supplied per line, and nothing printed before you approve it in writing.

Do you work with importers in Barbados?
We are open to importers, wholesalers, retail groups and own-brand buyers in Barbados. Send the references and quantities you have in mind and the port, and a written offer follows within two working days. We have no shipping history to this island; what we offer is a container out of Gaziantep, priced line by line.
Is Turkish chocolate already on the shelf in Barbados?
Yes, as a market fact rather than a claim about us: in 2025 Türkiye was the seventh largest supplier of chocolate to Barbados by import value, and twelfth in sugar confectionery. That is why we quote against specific references instead of pitching the origin.
Can you quote against a list we already buy from another origin?
That is the useful way to do it. Send the references, the pack formats and the case weights you buy today and we answer reference by reference in writing, including the ones where the format we can match is different or where we cannot match it at all.
What is the minimum order?
One full container, 20 ft or 40 ft, mixed across the lines you choose. The minimum per line is written into the offer.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate and chocolate-coated lines, yes, year round on this route. Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry, and the offer states which lines are quoted in which condition.
Who handles the import entry and the label?
The importer handles entry in Barbados. We supply the technical data sheet, our certificates and the analysis report per line, and we prepare or confirm the English label content before anything is printed.
Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?
Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
