The other route

Made in Gaziantep, sold under your brand.

An importer or retail group in Barbados that goes looking for a private label chocolate manufacturer usually wants three things at once: a line nobody else on the island can quote, a pack that holds up on a warm shelf, and the certainty that the documents and the label will pass at entry. We are the route for all three. We are a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, Türkiye, putting our own lines under your name and shipping one mixed container to Bridgetown with the paperwork per line.

There is a commercial reason to do it here rather than simply resell. In 2025 Barbados imported around 13.1 million USD of chocolate and sugar confectionery, and 40.4% of that came from a single origin, so a large part of the shelf is the same assortment everyone else can order. A line that carries your own name is the part of the shelf a competitor cannot phone up and buy. Türkiye already ranks seventh among the chocolate origins here, so the category is familiar to the buyer even when the brand on the pack is new.

The range is what makes it workable on one order. A pistachio tablet made where the pistachio grows, sugared almonds and chocolate dragées in your colours, a boxed Turkish delight for the gift and souvenir shelf and a pistachio spread jar can come from our own factory and still travel as one container, on one set of documents, under one label. The question at the end is always the same: who makes it, and at what minimum. We make it in our own factory in Gaziantep, and the minimum per line is written into the offer.

Your label goes on lines produced in our own factory in Gaziantep.

How it works

Nothing printed before you approve.

  1. 01

    Lines and formats

The useful place to start is the shelf itself: what the imported assortment already covers, and which line you would rather a competitor could not order in. That list and the pack format go to our production team, who answer what can carry your brand, at what minimum and in what lead time — in writing, before you commit. Couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, empty packaging, baklava, halva and tahini sit outside the range and are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting.

  2. 02

    Label content and registration

We prepare the English label content to the national standard from our technical data sheet: food name, ingredients with allergens, metric net weight, storage, the production and expiry dates and the importer's name and address. The data sheet, the analysis report and our documents go per line to the importer of record for the entry, together with the certificates that apply to each line. Barbados is inside the common market and Türkiye is outside it, so the entry is the extra-regional one and the offer states what applies on the day.

  3. 03

    Artwork

You send the artwork; we check it against the label content and against what the format allows, and you approve the final version in writing. The approved file then becomes the reference for every repeat run, so a second order of the same line does not reopen the label from the beginning.

  4. 04

    Production and shipping

We run the line in our factory, we check and photograph the pallets, and the container leaves Mersin for Bridgetown, in a reefer for chocolate lines. The delivery term, the transshipment port and the transit time are written into the offer rather than left to the booking.

The honest part

What to know before the first list.

Customs and CARICOM
Barbados is a CARICOM member and sits inside the common market, so entry follows the national rules together with the CARICOM framework. There is no A.TR movement certificate and no free trade agreement between Barbados and Türkiye, so no preference certificate applies to these goods. Duty rates move, so we do not print one: the offer names the tariff line for each product and states what applies on the day it is written, which is what makes the landed cost checkable before you order.
Label and entry documents
An English label to the national standard: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the production and expiry dates and the importer's name and address. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries; for own-brand lines we prepare the label content and check your artwork against it before anything is printed. Entry is handled by the importer, and we supply what it needs per line: the technical data sheet, our certificates and the analysis report. Those documents go to you before the deposit.
Formats
Tablets and bars in milk, dark, white and filled; pistachio and kadayıf bars; sugared almonds and chocolate dragées in your colours, in bulk cartons, doypacks or printed boxes; boxed Turkish delight, the pistachio roll and chocolate-covered lokum; mini-bar and assortment boxes for the gift shelf; sachets and flowpacks for single-serve; and pistachio spread in glass jars with your label.
Minimums
Set per line and stated in the offer. The unit of sale is one full container, which can mix your own-brand lines with lines in our standard packs, so a first own-brand order does not have to fill the box on its own.
Label content
We prepare the English label content to the national standard from our technical data sheet: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the production and expiry dates and the importer's name and address. Chocolate lines are labelled as chocolate; vegetable-fat coated lines are labelled as compound or glaze and are never described as chocolate.
Artwork and approval
You send the artwork, we check it against the label content and against what the pack format allows, and you approve the final version in writing. Nothing is printed before that approval, and the approved file is the reference for every repeat run.
Certificates and documents
Certificates are held for our factory: food-safety (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP), Halal and Kosher certificates. The holder is named per line, copies are available on request, and the technical data sheet and analysis report per line go to you before the deposit so the importer can prepare the entry.
Samples
Free of charge from our running production, so you taste and photograph the actual line before committing. You cover the courier, paid before dispatch.
Lead time and shipping
Lead time is stated per line in the offer and counted from the deposit and the approved artwork. We run the line in our factory, we check and photograph the pallets in Gaziantep, and the container leaves Mersin for Bridgetown, in a reefer for chocolate lines, with the delivery term, the transshipment port and the transit time written in the offer.
Currency and payment
Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer only: 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs.
Questions

Asked by brands first.

Are you the manufacturer?

Yes. Chocolate, dragées, pistachio and hazelnut creams, popping candy and Turkish delight are made in our own factory in Gaziantep, and we have exported since 2002. We run your private-label lines, check the lot before packing and load the container at our factory.

Can we start with one own-brand product?

Yes. The unit of sale is one full container, and it can carry a single own-brand line together with lines in our standard packs, so a first order does not have to be one product in bulk.

Who prepares the label for Barbados?

We prepare the English label content from our technical data sheet; you place it in your artwork, add the importer's name and address, and approve the final version in writing before anything is printed.

Can the dragées come in our colours?

On selected lines, yes, as one of our core services: we run the colours you name and the cartons or boxes carry your brand. The minimum per colour is stated in the offer.

Can you also supply things outside your range under our brand?

Items such as couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, empty packaging, baklava, halva and tahini are sourced on request rather than made by us. We confirm composition and format before quoting, and the offer names who makes each one.

Are you a private label chocolate manufacturer?

Yes. Your label is printed in our own factory in Gaziantep after you approve the artwork, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer. Prices are not published; they come in the written offer.
