Turkish chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight and confectionery for importers and wholesalers in Belgium

One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye, into Antwerp or Zeebrugge, by sea or by road trailer across Europe: chocolate, dragées and sugared almonds, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and pistachio products, under the EU–Türkiye customs union paperwork. Belgium sells in more than one language, so the label content is prepared for the region the product is sold in. Written offer in US dollars within two working days of your list.

Cases of chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight consolidated for one container in Gaziantep
Who we quote for

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.

We quote for Belgian food importers and distributors, for the wholesalers that supply the oriental and Turkish grocery shops in Brussels, Antwerp and Liège, for the favour trade that buys sugared almonds and chocolate dragées by the carton for christenings, communions and weddings, and for Belgian brands that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight made under their own name. Dragées de baptême on the French-speaking side, doopsuiker and suikerbonen in Flanders: one channel with two names, and it is exactly the dragée line we run. Alongside it travel lokum and special lokum, the pistachio and kadayıf bar this shelf found as chocolat dubai, coated nuts, wrapped sweets and pistachio spread in jars. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like, each line on its own pallet.

Everything we load is made in Gaziantep, in our own factory. That is what lets one container carry five product groups, and lets us check the lot before it is packed and photograph the pallets before the doors close. It also sets the honest limits of this page. Belgium makes chocolate, and makes it as well as anywhere; nothing here is offered as a replacement for a Belgian bar. And much of what moves between Türkiye and Belgium by value is not the shelf-ready sweet described here — Antwerp is a port that sends goods on again. The end we quote for is narrower and real: pistachio, lokum, dragées, and the shelf the Turkish and oriental shops here already carry.

We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.

  • Food importers and distributors clearing at Antwerp or Zeebrugge and supplying Belgian retail, with the rest of the Benelux behind it
  • The favour trade — personalised-gift shops, printers and christening and wedding boutiques buying sugared almonds and chocolate dragées by the carton, in single colours
  • Oriental and Turkish grocery wholesalers in Brussels, Antwerp and Liège supplying the shops by the pallet
  • Belgian brands and retailers wanting chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight made under their own name

Belgium notes

What stays the same on every offer.

Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.

Label
Belgium sells in more than one language, and the label follows the region rather than the border: French in Wallonia and Brussels, Dutch in Flanders, German in the eastern communes. Under the EU food information rules the mandatory particulars have to appear in a language easily understood where the product is sold, so a pack meant for the whole country normally carries French and Dutch together, with German added where you sell east. The content itself is the EU set: the ingredient list with allergens emphasised, the nutrition declaration per 100 g, metric net quantity, the best-before date, and the name and EU address of the food business responsible for the product. For private label we prepare that content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed.
Customs union and entry
Belgium is in the EU, and Türkiye and the EU are in a customs union: chocolate and confectionery travel with an A.TR movement certificate, and the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before you order. The importer is the food business responsible for the product on the Belgian market and is registered with the competent authority; where a line contains dairy, as milk chocolate does, the EU rules for composite products apply and the attestation the entry needs is drawn up from our documents. Nothing about rates is printed on this site, because they change.
Dragées de baptême, doopsuiker, suikerbonen
The christening favour is a live channel in both of Belgium’s language communities, and in our range it is the single thing this market searches for most. What the shop sells is a finished favour: a sachet, a tin or a small box, printed with a name and a date, filled with sugared almonds. The printing and the personalisation are Belgian work; the almond inside is bought in. That inside is our end of it — panned sugared almonds and chocolate dragées in single colours, matte or polished, in sachets, tins, window boxes and doypacks, or in bulk cartons for a shop that fills its own. Communions and weddings run the same format on a different calendar. Colours, coating and piece count are stated per line in the offer, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer.
A chocolate country, and what may be called chocolate
Belgian chocolate is a standard rather than a slogan, and we are not selling one back to Belgium. What Gaziantep adds is the pistachio end and the sugar end: the pistachio and kadayıf bar that reached this shelf as chocolat dubai, made where the pistachio grows and the kadayıf is made; pistachio spread in jars, which the shelf often looks for under the word cream, though what is in the jar is a spread; lokum and special lokum; dragées; wrapped sweets. One rule decides the wording on every pack: under the EU cocoa and chocolate rules a coating made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter cannot be sold as chocolate. Every line in the offer says which it is, real chocolate or a compound coating, and in this market that is worth settling before the artwork is drawn.
Antwerp, Zeebrugge and the shelf behind them
Two routes, and the offer says which one it quotes: sea freight from Mersin to Antwerp or Zeebrugge, or a road trailer from Gaziantep across Europe. The delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, is stated in the offer. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer for the warm months; Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry. A container that clears at Antwerp is in free circulation in the EU, which is why an importer here is rarely buying for Belgium alone; if the load is meant to break down across the Benelux, say so and the label languages and the pallet plan are written for that from the start.
The oriental shelf, and the wholesale layer next door
Belgium has its own oriental and Turkish grocery layer — shops and small chains in Brussels, Antwerp and Liège, and the online grocers behind them — and it is import-fed rather than made locally. Most lines on this site are available in our standard packs, so a wholesaler can start without artwork. The generic end looks different: search the wholesale sweet words in French and much of what answers is based in France, which is a fair picture of how a good part of that shelf is fed. Ordering a container at origin takes that layer out of the price; what it asks of you instead is a full load and the entry paperwork, which is what this page is about.
What goes in the container
Chocolate, dragées and coated nuts, Turkish delight and special lokum, sugar confectionery, and pistachio products — five groups, each on its own pallet, mixed in one 20 ft or 40 ft load, so a wholesaler can break the load down by product rather than by shipment. Case weight, pieces per case and the pallet plan are stated per line, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer. We photograph the loaded pallets before the doors close. Offers are written in US dollars within two working days of your list; bank transfer only, 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs.
Sourced on request
Outside the core range we hold nothing in stock, but we can buy in what your list needs and load it in the same container: baklava, which is what this market types more than anything else and which mostly reaches it direct from named houses in Türkiye; halva; couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo; pistachio paste by the kilo, which is what a pâtissier means rather than the jar; raw pistachios and bulk nuts; dried fruit; cocoa; and empty packaging. These are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting.

Private label chocolate and confectionery for Belgian brands

Looking for a private label chocolate manufacturer outside Belgium, an own-brand favour range for the christening and wedding trade, or a Turkish delight box under your name? We put our own lines under your brand: tablets and bars, sugared almonds and chocolate dragées in single colours, doypacks, gift boxes, Turkish delight and pistachio spread jars, with the label content prepared to the EU rules in French and Dutch, and nothing printed before you approve it.

Questions

Asked before the first list.

Do you work with importers and wholesalers in Belgium?

We quote for food importers and distributors, oriental and Turkish shelf wholesalers, the christening and wedding favour trade, and Belgian brands that want their own label. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and whether you want the container by sea or by road; the written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars.

Is there duty on chocolate and confectionery from Türkiye into Belgium?

The goods travel under the EU–Türkiye customs union with an A.TR movement certificate, and the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, per line, so the landed cost is known before you order. Rates are not printed on this site because they change.

Can you supply the sugared almonds for christening favours?

Yes, and that is the part of the favour we make. Panned sugared almonds and chocolate dragées in single colours, matte or polished, in bulk cartons for a shop that fills and prints its own sachets, or already packed in sachets, tins, window boxes and doypacks. Colours, coating and piece count are stated per line in the offer; the minimum per line is stated in the offer.

Which languages does the label need?

The one spoken where the product is sold: French in Wallonia and Brussels, Dutch in Flanders, German in the eastern communes. A pack meant for the whole country normally carries French and Dutch together. We prepare the content to the EU food information rules from our technical data sheet, with the food business responsible in the EU named on it, and you approve the artwork in writing.

Can the wrapper say chocolate?

Only where the line really is chocolate. Under the EU cocoa and chocolate rules a coating made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter is a compound coating and has to be described as one. The offer states which each line is, so the wording is settled before anything is printed.

Do you supply baklava, halva or pistachio paste by the kilo?

They are outside our own range. We buy them in on request and load them in the same container; we confirm composition and format before quoting. The pistachio spread in jars is a different product from the paste a pâtisserie buys by the kilo, and the offer says which one it is quoting.

What is the minimum order?

One full container, 20 ft or 40 ft, or one full trailer, mixed across the lines you choose. The minimum per line is stated in the offer.

Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?

Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
