Home / Private label / Belgium

Made in Gaziantep, sold under your brand.
Own-brand is ordinary in Belgium. The grocery chains run it, the specialist shops run it, and the favour trade has always run it, because a christening sachet printed with a name and a date is already a private-label pack. What a Belgian brand usually finds when it goes looking for a co-manufacturer is a house in Belgium, France or the Netherlands, and for a plain milk tablet that is the right answer — this is a chocolate country and the makers are next door.
We are the other route, and a narrower one. We are a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, Türkiye, putting our own lines under your name and moving the container into Antwerp or Zeebrugge under the customs union paperwork. What that buys you is the range and the origin in one shipment: a pistachio tablet made where the pistachio grows, sugared almonds panned in the colours you name, a Turkish delight box, a pistachio spread jar, from our own factory, on one order and one document set. The questions at the end are the ones you would put to any co-manufacturer here: who makes it, and at what minimum. We make it in our own factory in Gaziantep; the minimum is in the offer.
Your label goes on lines produced in our own factory in Gaziantep.
Five formats, one container.
Nothing printed before you approve.
- 01
Lines and formats
You name the lines from the product pages and the pack format. We confirm which of them can be made under your brand, at what minimum, in what lead time, and which recipe and colour choices are open to you.
- 02
Label content
We prepare the label content to the EU food information rules in the languages of the region you sell in — French, Dutch, and German where you sell east: ingredients with allergens emphasised, the nutrition declaration per 100 g, metric net quantity, the best-before date, and the name and EU address of the responsible food business. The data comes from our technical data sheet, and the coating question — chocolate or compound — is settled here, before any wording is fixed.
- 03
Artwork
You send the artwork; we check it against the label content, including the product names in each language on the pack, and you approve it in writing. Nothing is printed before that.
- 04
Production and shipping
We run the line in our factory, we check and photograph the pallets, and the container leaves with the A.TR certificate and the document set for the Belgian entry — in a reefer for chocolate lines in the warm months — to Antwerp or Zeebrugge, or by road trailer across Europe.
What to know before the first list.
- Label
- Belgium sells in more than one language, and the label follows the region rather than the border: French in Wallonia and Brussels, Dutch in Flanders, German in the eastern communes. Under the EU food information rules the mandatory particulars have to appear in a language easily understood where the product is sold, so a pack meant for the whole country normally carries French and Dutch together, with German added where you sell east. The content itself is the EU set: the ingredient list with allergens emphasised, the nutrition declaration per 100 g, metric net quantity, the best-before date, and the name and EU address of the food business responsible for the product. For private label we prepare that content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed.
- Customs union and entry
- Belgium is in the EU, and Türkiye and the EU are in a customs union: chocolate and confectionery travel with an A.TR movement certificate, and the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before you order. The importer is the food business responsible for the product on the Belgian market and is registered with the competent authority; where a line contains dairy, as milk chocolate does, the EU rules for composite products apply and the attestation the entry needs is drawn up from our documents. Nothing about rates is printed on this site, because they change.
- A chocolate country, and what may be called chocolate
- Belgian chocolate is a standard rather than a slogan, and we are not selling one back to Belgium. What Gaziantep adds is the pistachio end and the sugar end: the pistachio and kadayıf bar that reached this shelf as chocolat dubai, made where the pistachio grows and the kadayıf is made; pistachio spread in jars, which the shelf often looks for under the word cream, though what is in the jar is a spread; lokum and special lokum; dragées; wrapped sweets. One rule decides the wording on every pack: under the EU cocoa and chocolate rules a coating made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter cannot be sold as chocolate. Every line in the offer says which it is, real chocolate or a compound coating, and in this market that is worth settling before the artwork is drawn.
- Minimums
- Set per line and stated in the offer; the unit of sale is one full container, which can mix your own lines with lines in our standard packs.
- Chocolate or compound, on the pack
- Under the EU cocoa and chocolate rules a coating made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter cannot be sold as chocolate. Every line in the offer says which it is, so the wording on your pack is settled before the artwork is drawn rather than after the print run — and in Belgium that is a question a buyer will ask you first.
- Languages on the pack
- The label follows the region the product is sold in: French in Wallonia and Brussels, Dutch in Flanders, German in the eastern communes. A pack meant for the whole country normally carries French and Dutch together. You name the languages, we prepare the content for each of them, and the same content covers the rest of the Benelux if you add a language for it.
- Favour colours and formats
- For the christening, communion and wedding trade the choices are the colour, the coating, the piece size and whether we pack the sachet or you do. A shop that prints and fills its own takes bulk cartons; a brand that wants a finished pack takes sachets, tins or window boxes with your artwork. Both are quoted per line.
- Certificates
- Held for our factory in Gaziantep: food-safety (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP), Halal and Kosher certificates. The holder is named per line and copies are available on request.
- Samples and lead time
- Samples are free of charge from our running production; you cover the courier, paid before dispatch. Lead time is stated per line in the offer and counted from the deposit and the approved artwork.
- Currency, payment and papers
- Offers in US dollars; bank transfer, 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. The delivery term is FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, stated in the offer, and the container travels with the A.TR movement certificate under the EU–Türkiye customs union; the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day.
Asked by brands first.
Are you the manufacturer?
Yes. Chocolate, dragées, pistachio and hazelnut creams, popping candy and Turkish delight are made in our own factory in Gaziantep, and we have exported since 2002. We run your private-label lines, check the lot before packing and load the container at our factory.
Can we start with one product?
The unit of sale is one full container. It can carry one own-brand line together with lines in our standard packs from the same factory, so a first order does not have to be a full load of a single product.
Who prepares the French and Dutch label?
We do, from our technical data sheet and to the EU rules, in the languages of the region you sell in. You place the content in your artwork, add the details of the food business responsible in the EU, and approve the final version in writing.
Can our pack say chocolate?
Only where the line really is chocolate. A coating made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter is a compound coating under the EU cocoa and chocolate rules and has to be described as one. The offer states which each line is before the artwork is drawn.
Can you make favour dragées in our colours?
Yes: panned sugared almonds and chocolate dragées in single colours, matte or polished, for christenings, communions and weddings, in bulk cartons or already packed in your sachets, tins or window boxes. The colour, the coating and the piece size are confirmed, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer.
What does an own-brand container need at the Belgian border?
The commercial documents, the A.TR movement certificate, our technical data sheet and certificates per line, and for lines with dairy the composite-product attestation drawn up from our documents. The offer lists what travels with the container.
Are you a private label chocolate manufacturer?
Yes. Your label is printed in our own factory in Gaziantep after you approve the artwork, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer. Prices are not published; they come in the written offer.
