Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.
- Label
- A bilingual label. In Canada the mandatory information appears in English and French, with metric net quantity and the Canadian nutrition facts table. If Turkish text stays on the pack, the required information is still in both official languages. For private label we prepare the label content to Canadian rules, including the allergen declaration, and check your artwork against it before anything is printed.
- Importer licence
- In Canada the licence to import food sits with the importer, under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, not with the foreign producer. What your file needs from our side, the technical data sheet and lot traceability, travels with the offer; certificate copies are available on request.
- Customs
- There is no free trade agreement between Canada and Türkiye. The offer states the tariff line for each product and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before you order.
- Turkish chocolate brands
- Most lines are available in our standard packs, so an importer can start without artwork; on selected lines the same products can be made under your own label.
- Chocolate-covered Turkish delight
- Canadian shoppers know Turkish delight mostly as a chocolate bar. Chocolate-covered lokum pieces are on the Turkish delight page; a bar format, the Turkish delight chocolate bar, is sourced on request.
- Bulk-food stores
- Much of Canada’s Turkish delight, Jordan almonds, dragées and chocolate-covered almonds is sold by weight in bulk-food stores. Those stores buy through distributors; for them we quote lined bulk cartons per line, single colour or mixed for the sugared almonds, with the shelf life on the data sheet.
- Product names
- Canadian food regulations define names such as milk chocolate and sweet chocolate. Under private label, the name on the pack is checked against them before printing.
- Kosher and halal
- Our factory holds Kosher and Halal certificates. The certificate holder is named per line in the offer, and copies are available on request.
- Route
- Sea freight from Mersin to Montreal or Halifax for Quebec, Ontario and the east, and to Vancouver for the west; the port of arrival and the delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, are stated in the offer. Chocolate and chocolate-coated products travel at +18/+20 °C; for the warm months we quote a reefer.
- Currency and payment
- Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer only: 50% with the order, 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs.
- Sourced on request
- Outside the core range we buy in what your list needs and load it in the same container: bulk pistachio nuts from Gaziantep, nuts and dried fruit in bulk (hazelnuts, almonds, dried apricots and figs), freeze-dried fruit in bulk, halva, instant coffee, powdered drinks, spices and fruit juice.
