Turkish chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight and confectionery for importers and hotel suppliers in Cuba
One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye, to Mariel or Havana: chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and pistachio products, with the label prepared in Spanish and a reefer for the chocolate lines. Written offer within two working days of your list, in US dollars, with the banking route agreed before anything is paid.

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.
We quote for the enterprises that import food into Cuba: the state import companies that buy for the retail network and the food distribution system, the authorised trading companies that place orders on behalf of private importing businesses, and the supply companies that stock the hotels of Havana, Varadero and the cays. The list we are asked for is usually a shelf rather than a reference: chocolate tablets and mini bars, compound-coated bars that survive the climate, sugared almonds and chocolate dragées for the wedding and the fifteenth-birthday table, boxed Turkish delight for the gift and duty-free counter, wrapped sweets and jellies for the shop, and pistachio products including the pistachio and kadayif bar people ask for as Dubai chocolate. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like, each line on its own pallet.
Almost none of this shelf is made on the island, so what is on it arrives as an import, and much of it arrives through a third market with a margin added on the way. Buying at origin removes that step. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep: we make the lines in our own factory, load them into one container, check the lot before it is packed and photograph the pallets before the doors close. Very little of this trade starts in a search box, so this page is written to be the file that sits in front of a buyer when the list is being made rather than an advertisement: what the label carries, what the route costs in time, what travels cold and what travels dry, and how the payment is arranged before anyone commits.
We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.
- State import enterprises and authorised trading companies buying food for the retail network, the distribution system and their own tenders
- Hotel and tourism supply companies that stock the hotels of Havana, Varadero and the cays, and the counters that sell in hard currency
- Private importing businesses supplying shops, cafeterias and bakeries, ordering through the trading company that acts as importer of record
- Brands and own-label buyers that want a chocolate, dragée or Turkish delight line made under their own name
Six lines, mixed to your list.
Each line travels on its own pallet; the container is mixed. Outside the core range we source on request and load it in the same shipment.

What stays the same on every offer.
Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.
- Who places the order
- Importing into Cuba runs through a licensed importer: a state import enterprise, or an authorised trading company placing the order on behalf of a private business. That does not change what we do, but it changes the paperwork rhythm: the list is usually built into a request or a tender, the technical file is examined before the price is discussed, and the buyer of record is not always the company that will sell the goods. We prepare the file for whichever of them is on the contract.
- Label
- The label is prepared in Spanish: the product name, the ingredient list with the allergen declaration, the nutrition table, metric net weight, storage conditions, the production and expiry dates, the country of origin and the importer's details. Where a chocolate-coated line is coated with vegetable fat it is declared as compound and not as chocolate, on the label and in the offer. For private label we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed.
- Registration, entry and customs
- The importer holds the licence on its side, registers the product with the health authority where the line needs it, and food consignments are inspected on entry. There is no free trade agreement between Cuba and Türkiye; the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before the order is placed. Send the reference list first and the file follows with it.
- Certificates and the technical file
- Per line: our technical data sheet, the ingredient and allergen statement, the analysis report, the shelf-life statement from our data sheet, and the health certificate for the consignment. Our certificates, with copies on request, are named per line rather than claimed for the range, together with halal or other attestations where they exist. Nothing is stated in the offer that our data sheet does not state.
- What goes in the container
- One container does not have to be one product. Mix it across chocolate tablets, mini bars and coated lines, dragées and sugared almonds, Turkish delight in boxes and rolls, wrapped sweets, wafers and jellies, and pistachio products including pistachio spread in jars, which readers here look for as pistachio cream. Each line travels on its own pallet, and the minimum per line and the case weight are stated in the offer. Outside that range, items such as couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa and empty packaging are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting.
- The hotel shelf and the hard-currency counter
- Two shelves behave differently. The hotels of Havana, Varadero and the cays and the counters that sell in hard currency take the gift format: the pistachio tablet, the Dubai-style bar, boxed Turkish delight and the pistachio roll a guest carries home, chocolate dragées and coated nuts. The wider retail shelf works to a price, in smaller packs and lower price points, and that is where compound-coated bars, wrapped sweets and jellies belong. The offer states per line which of the two it is built for, and whether the coating is chocolate or compound.
- Route and temperature
- Sea freight from Mersin, with the transshipment port, the delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, and the transit stated in the offer. Mariel takes the container traffic and Havana is quoted on request. The crossing is long and the island is warm and humid in every season, so chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer year round; Turkish delight, sugared almonds, wrapped sweets and jellies travel dry, and both can share one container. What happens to the cold chain after the port is the importer's side of the line, and it is worth deciding the chocolate-to-dry ratio with that in mind before the list is fixed.
- Currency, banking and payment
- Offers are written in US dollars and are valid as stated on the offer. Payment is by bank transfer, 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. Dollar settlement to and from this market is not always straightforward, so the banking route is agreed before the deposit and the offer states what applies on the day; if the route has to change, the offer is reissued rather than adjusted quietly.
Private label chocolate and confectionery for Cuban brands
Looking for a private label chocolate manufacturer for a Cuban brand, a hotel group's own gift line, or an own-brand dragée range for the celebration table? We put our own lines under your name: tablets, mini bars, dragées in doypacks, gift boxes, Turkish delight boxes and jars, with the label content prepared in Spanish and nothing printed before you approve it in writing.
Private label for Cuban brands →Asked before the first list.
Do you work with importers in Cuba?
We quote for state import enterprises, authorised trading companies, hotel and tourism supply companies and own-label buyers in Cuba. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and the port; the written offer follows within two working days.
Who can be the importer of record?
A licensed importer: a state import enterprise, or an authorised trading company placing the order for a private business. We prepare the technical file and the offer for whichever of them signs the contract in it.
Which port do you ship to?
Mariel takes the container traffic, and Havana is quoted on request. The offer names the port, the transshipment and the delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, together with the transit.
How is payment handled?
Bank transfer, 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. Offers are written in US dollars, and because settlement on this route is not always straightforward the banking route is agreed before the deposit; the offer states what applies on the day.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate and chocolate-coated lines, yes, year round on this route. Turkish delight, sugared almonds, wrapped sweets and jellies travel dry, and both can travel in one container. Where a line is coated with vegetable fat it is quoted as compound, not as chocolate.
Which language does the label need?
Spanish. We prepare the content from our technical data sheet, with the ingredient list, the allergen declaration, the nutrition table, net weight, storage, dates, origin and the importer's details, and for private label we check your artwork before anything is printed.
What is the minimum order?
One full container, 20 ft or 40 ft, mixed across the lines you choose, each line on its own pallet. The minimum per line is written into the offer.
Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?
Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
