Private label · Cuba

Private label chocolate and confectionery from Türkiye, for Cuban brands and hotel groups

Tablet and bar boxes, doypacks and pyramid boxes, 350 g lokum boxes, sachets and pistachio spread jars made in Gaziantep under your name, loaded for Mariel with Havana quoted on request. The label content is prepared in Spanish from our technical data sheet, so the printed pack and the file the importer holds on the Cuban side agree from the start. Nothing goes to print before you approve the artwork in writing.

Chocolate tablet, chocolate bar, dragée doypack, children’s chocolate and pistachio spread packs carrying a private-label front
The other route

Made in Gaziantep, sold under your brand.

A brand in Cuba does not place the order abroad by itself. Importing runs through a licensed importer, so an own-brand chocolate line here begins with a question that most markets never ask: who signs the contract, and whose name and address go on the label as importer. That is paperwork rather than an obstacle, but it narrows the list of buyers who actually reach a private-label run, and we would rather write the list down than pretend the market is wider than it is: hotel and tourism supply companies that want the group's name on the turndown chocolate and on the gift box in the shop, the counters that sell in hard currency, a state import enterprise building an own-label line for the retail network, and a private business with a brand of its own ordering through the authorised trading company that acts as importer of record. Very little of this reaches an exporter through a search box; this page is written to be read in the folder where the list is being made.

A co-packer on the island is not a route a brand here can simply book. Any line able to run your name would still have to bring in the cocoa, the coating fat, the foil and the printed cartons in hard currency first, so making it locally does not remove an import — it adds one, and it adds it to the part of the chain that is hardest to plan. We are the other route: a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, Türkiye, putting our own lines under your name and loading one container for Mariel. The gain is breadth at origin in a single shipment: a turndown mini bar with the hotel's name, a pistachio tablet and the Dubai-style pistachio and kadayıf bar made where the pistachio and the kadayıf are made, dragées in your colours for the quinceañera and the wedding table, a 350 g lokum box for the shop and the hard-currency counter, and pistachio spread in jars — several lines, one order, one set of documents, one container, with your own lines travelling beside lines in our standard packs. Two things then set the timetable rather than the price: the Spanish wording has to match what the importer holds on its side, and the money has to arrive, which on this route is the part that needs the most planning.

Your label goes on lines produced in our own factory in Gaziantep.

Formats

Five formats, one container.

Tablet and bar boxesMilk, dark, white and filled tablets, mini bars for the pillow and the minibar, pistachio bars and the Dubai-style pistachio and kadayıf bar, in your wrapper and your printed box. The offer says line by line whether the coating is chocolate or a vegetable-fat compound, and a compound line is never called chocolate on the pack or in our paperwork — the two behave differently on a warm shelf, and that is a choice you make before the artwork is drawn, not after.Doypacks and pyramid boxesDragées, sugared almonds and coated nuts in stand-up pouches, pyramid boxes and window boxes, in the colours you name: the quinceañera and the wedding table, the welcome amenity in the room, and the gift shelf that sells in hard currency. The pouch and the box are printed with your brand; the case count and the pallet pattern are written into the offer.Sachets, flowpacks and cupsWrapped sweets, jellies, mini biscuits and single-serve packs under your brand, supplied in bulk cartons and kilo bags as well as printed retail packs. This is the turndown piece and the coffee-tray sweet for the hotel, and the price-led shop and cafeteria shelf where the pack size, not the recipe, decides the price point.350 g lokum boxesTurkish delight and special lokum in printed retail boxes carrying your name: the hotel shop in Havana, Varadero and the cays, the hard-currency counter and the corporate gift. It travels dry in the same container as the chilled lines, and the storage statement and the shelf life we declare are stated per line in the offer.Jars (pistachio spread)Pistachio spread in glass jars with your label, for the breakfast buffet, the gift set and the shop shelf. It is sold and labelled as a spread, even where the shelf asks for crema de pistacho; the jar size, the case count and the glass weight per case are written into the offer, because glass changes what the rest of the pallet can carry.
How it works

Nothing printed before you approve.

  1. 01

    Line and minimum

You name the lines from the product pages and the pack format you want them in. We confirm which of them can run under your brand, in what lead time, and whether the line is chocolate or compound for the shelf you have in mind — the hotel gift counter and the price-led shop are two different answers. The minimum is set per line and stated in the offer.

  2. 02

    Label content

We prepare the Spanish label content from our technical data sheet: the name of the food, the ingredient list with the allergen declaration, the nutrition table, metric net weight, storage conditions, country of origin, the importer's name and address, and the fields for the production and expiry dates we print on the pack. The wording is fixed at this stage, because the printed pack and the file the importer holds on the Cuban side have to say the same thing.

  3. 03

    Artwork approval

You place the content in your arte final; we check it against the label content line by line, and you approve the final version in writing. Nothing is printed before that written approval — not a wrapper, not a box, not a jar label. On this route a reprint costs time before it costs money, because the correction has to cross the ocean twice.

  4. 04

    Production and loading

We run the line in our factory, we check and photograph the pallets, and the container leaves Mersin for Mariel, with Havana quoted on request. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are loaded in a reefer year round on this crossing; lokum, dragées, wrapped sweets and jellies travel dry in the same container. The second payment is due against those loading photographs, before the doors close.

The honest part

What to know before the first list.

Label
The label is prepared in Spanish: the product name, the ingredient list with the allergen declaration, the nutrition table, metric net weight, storage conditions, the production and expiry dates, the country of origin and the importer's details. Where a chocolate-coated line is coated with vegetable fat it is declared as compound and not as chocolate, on the label and in the offer. For private label we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed.
Registration, entry and customs
The importer holds the licence on its side, registers the product with the health authority where the line needs it, and food consignments are inspected on entry. There is no free trade agreement between Cuba and Türkiye; the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before the order is placed. Send the reference list first and the file follows with it.
Certificates and the technical file
Per line: our technical data sheet, the ingredient and allergen statement, the analysis report, the shelf-life statement from our data sheet, and the health certificate for the consignment. Our certificates, with copies on request, are named per line rather than claimed for the range, together with halal or other attestations where they exist. Nothing is stated in the offer that our data sheet does not state.
Minimums
Set per line and stated in the offer. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed and panasajed: your own-brand lines travel with lines in our standard packs, so a private-label line does not have to fill the container on its own and a first order is not limited to one product.
Lead time
Stated per line in the offer and counted from the deposit and the approved artwork, not from the enquiry. Two things go on top of it here that buyers often forget to count: the sea transit and the inspection on entry at the end, and the time it takes to agree the banking route at the beginning, before a deposit can be sent at all. If the line is meant for the winter tourist season or the December shelf, count backwards from the date you want the cartons in the warehouse.
Certificates
Held for our factory in Gaziantep: food-safety (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP), Halal and Kosher certificates. The holder and the certifying body are named per line, and copies are available on request together with the technical data sheet, the ingredient and allergen statement and the analysis report. We print no certificate numbers on this site and claim no certificate our factory does not hold; if the importer's file asks for a specific document, ask before the order and we confirm in writing.
Currency, banking and payment
Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer only: 50% with the order, 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. On this route the settlement is harder to arrange than the production, and it is fairer to say so plainly: dollar payments to and from this market do not clear as a matter of course, and many buyers pay from an account held outside the country or through the trading company that acts as importer of record. Tell us at the offer stage where the payment will come from and in whose name. The banking route is agreed in writing before the deposit and the offer states what applies on the day; if the route has to change, the offer is reissued rather than adjusted quietly. Production starts when the first transfer has arrived, and that waiting time belongs in your delivery date.
Whose brand, whose name as importer
Your brand can be on the pack while another company is the importer of record — a hotel or tourism supply company for the group's own line, a state import enterprise, or an authorised trading company ordering for a private business. What we need before the artwork stage is which company's name and address is printed on the label as importer, because that field is printed like any other and cannot be corrected on the pallet. Where the line needs a registration on the Cuban side, the importer is the party that holds it, and our file travels with the offer so the pack and the registration are built from the same document.
Reefer, the crossing and the shelf
The crossing from Mersin is long and the island is warm and humid in every season, so chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer year round, while lokum, dragées, wrapped sweets and jellies travel dry; both share one container. What happens to the cold chain after the port is the importer's side of the line, and it is worth deciding the chocolate-to-dry ratio in your own-brand range with that in mind before the artwork is drawn. Storage conditions and shelf life are stated per line as we declare them, and nothing on that is printed on this site.
The other route, and what is outside our own range
There are two alternatives to compare us with, and neither is a factory in your city: a line inside the country that would still have to import the cocoa, the coating fat, the foil and the cartons before it could run your name, and a third-market supplier that adds a margin between the producer and the port. What we put against them is origin and breadth in one shipment. Outside our own range are couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo for hotel pastry kitchens and bakeries, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa and empty packaging: sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting, and if it clears it loads in the same container as your own-brand lines. Duty is treated the same way — the offer states the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, and nothing about duty is printed on this site.
Questions

Asked by brands first.

Are you the manufacturer?

Yes. Chocolate, dragées, pistachio and hazelnut creams, popping candy and Turkish delight are made in our own factory in Gaziantep, and we have exported since 2002. We run your private-label lines, check the lot before packing and load the container at our factory.

Who can actually place an own-brand order from Cuba?

A licensed importer signs: a state import enterprise, an authorised trading company placing the order for a private business, or a hotel and tourism supply company buying for its own group. Your brand is on the pack; the importer of record is on the contract and on the label as importer, and the two do not have to be the same company. We prepare the offer and the technical file for whichever of them signs.

Can a hotel group put its own name on the turndown chocolate and the shop's gift line?

Yes, on our own lines: mini bars and wrapped pieces for the room, dragées in the group's colours for the wedding and quinceañera table, a 350 g lokum box and pistachio tablets for the shop and the hard-currency counter, and pistachio spread jars for the buffet. They travel in one container with lines in our standard packs beside them; the minimum per line and the lead time are stated in the offer.

How is payment handled, given the banking situation?

Bank transfer only, in US dollars: 50% with the order, 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. Dollar settlement to and from this market does not clear as a matter of course, so tell us at the offer stage where the payment will come from and in whose name. The banking route is agreed in writing before the deposit, the offer states what applies on the day, and production starts when the first transfer has arrived.

Who prepares the Spanish label, and how does it reach the importer's file?

We prepare the label content from our technical data sheet; you place it in your arte final, add the importer's name and address, and approve the final version in writing. The same data sheet, ingredient and allergen statement, storage and shelf-life statement and analysis report go to the importer, so the printed pack and the file it holds are built from one document rather than two.

Is our line real chocolate or compound?

Both exist, for different shelves and different price points, and the offer states line by line which one you are buying. A vegetable-fat coating is not called chocolate on the pack, in the label content or in our paperwork. It is a decision worth making early here, because the two behave differently between the port and the shelf.

Can you supply couverture in bulk for our pastry kitchen under our name?

Couverture and bulk chocolate by the kilo are outside our own range: sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting, and if it clears it loads in the same container as your own-brand lines. What we run under your brand is the tablet, the bar, the dragée, the lokum box, the sachet and the pistachio spread jar.

Are you a private label chocolate manufacturer?

Yes. Your label is printed in our own factory in Gaziantep after you approve the artwork, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer. Prices are not published; they come in the written offer.
