- Pre-shipment conformity and the standards mark
- Kenya asks for a certificate of conformity issued before shipment by the inspection agency appointed for Türkiye, and for the standards mark for imported goods on products sold in the country. The importer holds the import declaration and the mark; we arrange the pre-shipment inspection with the agency, and the offer states what the inspection needs per line and what it costs, so nothing is loaded that cannot clear.
- Label
- An English label, with Swahili alongside if you want it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage, the production and expiry dates and the name and address of the importer. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack carries; for private label we prepare the label content and check your artwork against it before anything is printed.
- Customs
- Kenya applies the East African common external tariff and there is no free trade agreement between Kenya and Türkiye; the offer states the tariff line for each product and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before you order. Our certificates and the analysis report travel with the container.
- The supermarket shelf and the duka shelf
- Kenya has two shelves. The supermarkets in Nairobi and Mombasa have chillers and take chocolate: the tablet, the boxed assortment, the pistachio end and the Dubai style bar in our standard packs, in a reefer. The duka and the kiosk have no cooling and take the wafer, the wrapped bar, the compound-coated line and wrapped sweets by the kilo bag, dry. The offer states which lines are which, and one container carries both shelves on their own pallets.
