Turkish chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight and confectionery for importers in Palestine

One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye: chocolate, dragées, malban and wrapped confectionery, with the label content prepared in Arabic and English alongside it where the shelf wants it. The route, the delivery term and the document set are named in writing before you order, because on this shelf the paperwork is the harder half of the offer.

Cases of chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight consolidated for one container in Gaziantep
Who we quote for

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.

In 2023 the Palestinian market imported 77,019,673 US dollars of chocolate and cocoa preparations and 35,850,369 US dollars of sugar confectionery — 112.9 million dollars across the two lines. That is a real shelf, and it is already being fed: Israel supplied 37.6 per cent of it and Egypt 9.7 per cent. Türkiye is not a stranger to it either, sitting fifth in chocolate with 7.1 per cent and third in sugar confectionery with 17.0 per cent. We are a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, and we are open to quoting for importers and wholesalers that want to buy our lines direct rather than through a re-export shelf.

The names on this shelf are already local. The two product searches that carry the most weight in Arabic here are "Aleppo pistachio", at 480 searches a month, and "malban", at 320 — malban being what a Turkish delight is called in this market rather than a term anyone has to be taught. So the page does not need to explain the category. What it needs to explain is the route: today an importer looking for these lines online mostly lands on the retail shop windows of the Gulf, or on wholesale listings in France and Spain, which means paying for a shelf that has already been built somewhere else. A container loaded in Gaziantep skips that step.

What we do not pretend is that the logistics are simple. Customs clearance and the physical movement of goods into this market are in practice controlled by Israel, and the clearing agent on the importer's side is the one who handles that step. Our side of it is what we can actually be held to: the goods, the production dates, the loading photographs, the document set, and the delivery term written down before anything is paid. Gaziantep is about three hours from the port of Mersin, so the inland leg is short and the timing is ours to control; everything after the ship is the importer's file, and the offer says so plainly.

We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.

  • Food importers and distributors that clear their own consignments and supply groceries, supermarkets and the sweets trade by the carton
  • Confectionery wholesalers buying chocolate, dragées, malban and wrapped sweets in mixed pallets rather than single-line containers
  • Sweet shops and gift traders that need sugared almonds and chocolate dragées for weddings and births, and boxed lines for Ramadan and Eid
  • Retail chains and brands that want a chocolate, dragée or Turkish delight line made under their own name, with the label content prepared in Arabic

Palestine notes

What stays the same on every offer.

Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.

The size of this shelf, 2023
Palestinian imports in 2023: chocolate and cocoa preparations 77,019,673 US dollars, sugar confectionery 35,850,369 US dollars, 112.9 million together. Israel accounted for 37.6 per cent of that supply and Egypt for 9.7 per cent. We publish the year with the figure because these are 2023 numbers and nothing newer is being claimed here. What the split tells an importer is simple enough: most of what sits on this shelf arrives through a neighbouring market rather than from the producing country.
Türkiye is already on this shelf
In the same 2023 data Türkiye ranks fifth as a source of chocolate, at 7.1 per cent, and third in sugar confectionery, at 17.0 per cent. That second figure is the one worth reading twice: in sweets, Turkish origin is not a novelty to introduce to the buyer, it is an established part of the assortment. Our case is therefore not about the origin. It is about buying it one step earlier, direct from Gaziantep, on your own document set.
Two names the market already searches
Across the Arabic phrases measured for this market, the two heaviest product searches are "Aleppo pistachio" at 480 a month and "malban" at 320 a month. Both sit inside what we load. Malban is the Turkish delight on our Turkish delight page, under the name this market actually uses. Pistachio runs through the range as a finished product: pistachio malban, pistachio-filled and pistachio-topped chocolate, dragées with a pistachio centre, and pistachio spread in jars. Raw pistachio kernels by the kilo are not something we make; those are sourced on request, and we confirm composition and format before quoting.
There is no B2B search channel here
Of 117 Arabic phrases that clear twenty searches a month for this market — 8,540 searches a month in total, counted with word-order variants merged so the same demand is not recorded twice — not one is a wholesale, import or supplier phrase. Demand here is for the product, not for a supplier. One phrase that looks like ours was excluded on inspection: the Arabic query around an electronic gift turns out to be about gift cards, not about a gift box of chocolate, and counting it would have flattered the figure. So this page is not written to be found by a buyer typing "chocolate wholesale". It is written so a buyer already in conversation with us can read the route, the documents and the formats before the offer lands.
Route, cold chain and clearance
Loading in Gaziantep, about three hours inland from the port of Mersin. Delivery terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, and the offer names which one applies, the port of entry the importer nominates and what is included up to that point. Clearance and inland movement into the Palestinian market are in practice handled through Israeli-controlled customs and port infrastructure, and the importer's clearing agent runs that step; we do not represent it as ours. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer for the warm months; malban, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry, and both can share one container.
Documents and origin
No preferential origin document is assumed for this market on this page. The origin document that will actually travel with your consignment, and the rules that apply to it, are named in the offer for the tariff line concerned, and the offer states what applies on the day rather than a figure printed here that would be stale by the time you read it. From our side the file carries the invoice and packing list, the technical data sheet per product, our certificates, the analysis report per line, and the loading photographs.
Label
The mandatory information in Arabic, with English alongside where the shelf or the importer's file wants it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the importer's name and address, and the date marking. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries before you order. For private label we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed. One wording rule we hold to: a line with a vegetable-fat coating is described as compound or as a glaze, never as chocolate, and the data sheet says which one the line is.
Halal
Lines with ingredients of animal origin — gelatine in jellies above all — travel with our halal certificate, held and issued for our factory. The offer names the certifying body per line so the importer can check it is recognised on their side before ordering, and copies are available on request. Lines that contain no such ingredient are stated as such on the technical data sheet rather than being given a certificate they do not need.
Currency and payment
Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer only: 50 per cent with the order and 50 per cent before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. The offer states the banking route that applies on the day, which for this market is worth agreeing in writing at the same time as the price rather than after production has started.
Sourced on request
Outside what our factory makes we can source what your list needs and load it in the same container: couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw pistachio and other nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, empty packaging, baklava, halva and tahini. These are sourced on request; we confirm composition, format and the producer before quoting, and we do not describe them as our own production.

Private label chocolate and confectionery for Palestinian brands

Looking for a private label chocolate manufacturer for a Palestinian brand, a retail chain's own bar, or an own-brand malban and dragée line? We put our own lines under your name: tablets, bars, dragées in doypacks, gift boxes, malban boxes and pistachio spread jars, with the label content prepared in Arabic and nothing printed before you approve it.

Questions

Asked before the first list.

Do you work with importers in Palestine?

We are open to quoting for food importers, distributors, wholesalers, sweet shops and own-brand buyers supplying this market. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and the port of entry your clearing agent works through, and a written offer follows.

Is malban the same thing as Turkish delight?

Yes — malban is the name this market uses for it, and it is the product on our Turkish delight page: plain, with pistachio, the rolled lines and the chocolate-covered boxes. It is also one of the two heaviest product searches here, at 320 a month, so it is usually the first line an importer asks to price.

Do you supply Aleppo pistachio?

Pistachio runs right through the range as a finished product: pistachio malban, pistachio-filled and pistachio-topped chocolate, dragées with a pistachio centre and pistachio spread in jars. Raw pistachio kernels by the kilo are not our own production; those are sourced on request, and we confirm the format and the producer with you before quoting.

How does a container actually reach this market?

We load in Gaziantep, about three hours from Mersin, and quote FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP with the term named in the offer. Clearance and inland movement into the Palestinian market are in practice handled through Israeli-controlled customs and port infrastructure, and your clearing agent runs that step; we do not present it as ours, and the offer says where our responsibility ends.

What about duty and origin documents?

No preferential origin document is assumed here. The origin document and the rules that apply to it are named in the offer for the tariff line concerned, and the offer states what applies on the day. We do not print duty figures on this site because they change.

Which language does the label need?

Arabic for the mandatory information, with English alongside where the shelf or the importer's file wants it. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack carries; for private label we prepare the content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork before printing.

Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?

Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
