Turkish chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight for importers in South Africa
One mixed container from Gaziantep, Türkiye, to Durban or Cape Town: chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, sweets for the wholesale trade and pistachio products, halaal certificates named per line. Written offer in US dollars within two working days of your list.

One container, every line, from Gaziantep.
We quote for South African importers and sweet distributors, for the sweet wholesalers of Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Pretoria that supply tuck shops, spaza shops, party pack packers and sweet shops, for cash and carry buyers adding an imported sweets range, and for brands that want chocolate, dragées or Turkish delight made under their own name. If you are looking for wholesale chocolate suppliers South Africa importers can buy from, imported sweets wholesale South Africa can price by the carton, the sweet distributors South Africa wholesalers work with, wholesale sweets Cape Town, Johannesburg or Durban can build a Turkish range on, halal sweets wholesale with the certificate named, or the Turkish delight South Africa knows from the shelf but not yet from Türkiye, this is what we quote for. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like.
Everything on this site is made in Gaziantep, in our own factory. That is what lets one container carry five product groups, and lets us check a lot before it is packed and photograph the pallets before the doors close.
We supply direct from our own factory in Gaziantep, the city we work in.
- Importers and sweet distributors that supply the sweet wholesalers, factory shops and cash and carry shelves of Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape
- The tuck shop, party pack and spaza trade, through the wholesalers that pack for it: jellies and gummy sweets in bulk, wrapped sweets, dragées and mini chocolates by the carton
- Brands, gift companies and retailers that want a line made under their own name, with the label prepared before printing
Six lines, mixed to your list.
Each line travels on its own pallet; the container is mixed. Outside the core range we source on request and load it in the same shipment.

What stays the same on every offer.
Rates and rules change; the quotation states what applies on the day. These points do not change.
- Label
- An English label under the South African labelling regulations, with the ingredient list and allergens, the nutrition table where required, metric net quantity and the importer’s name and address. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries and what the importer adds; for private label we prepare the label content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork before anything is printed.
- Import permits
- The importer checks whether a line needs an import permit for its ingredients, dairy in milk chocolate in particular, and clears it at Durban or Cape Town; the offer states what applies on the day and which documents we supply. From our side you receive the technical data sheet per product, our certificates and lot traceability.
- Halaal
- South Africa spells it halaal and asks for it by certifier. Halaal certificates are held for our factory, from certifying bodies; the offer names the holder and the body for every line and copies are available on request, so a halaal sweets wholesale list is built from named lines, not assumptions. A line without a certificate is stated as such.
- Customs
- There is no free trade agreement between South Africa and Türkiye. The offer states the tariff line for each product and the duty that applies on the day, so the landed cost is known before you order.
- Sweets for the wholesale trade
- The South African trade buys sweets by the carton for tuck shops, party packs, spaza shops and cash and carry shelves, and it buys on price. The Turkish lines that fit it are fruit jellies and gummy sweets in bulk, wrapped sweets, popping candy and wrapped mini biscuits; case weight per line and wrapped or loose formats are stated in the offer. We do not quote the cheapest jelly on the market; we quote lines that carry a halaal certificate and a shelf life a tuck shop can live with.
- Turkish delight in South Africa
- South Africans know Turkish delight from a local chocolate bar with a rose centre and from the rose and nougat boxes on the sweet shelf. Boxed Turkish delight from Gaziantep, the pistachio roll and chocolate covered lokum are the Turkish products behind the searches; they are on the Turkish delight page, and the plain lines travel dry all year.
- Wedding favours and dragées
- Sugared almonds by colour for weddings, chocolate dragées for corporate trays and party packs, one colour per carton or mixed; case weight per line in the offer.
- Turkish chocolate brands
- Most lines are available in our standard packs, so an importer can start without artwork; on selected lines the same products can be made under your own name.
- Route
- Sea freight from Mersin to Durban for Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, and to Cape Town for the Western Cape; the port and the delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, are stated in the offer. The route crosses the tropics in every season, so chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer year round; Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry.
- Currency and payment
- Offers in US dollars. Bank transfer only: 50% with the order, 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs.
- Sourced on request
- Outside the core range we buy in what your list needs and load it in the same container: baklava from Gaziantep, biscuits and wafers, halva, bulk pistachio nuts, nuts and dried fruit in bulk, instant coffee, powdered drinks, spices and fruit juice.
Private label chocolate and confectionery for South African brands
Looking for private label chocolate manufacturers South Africa retailers can use, or a white label chocolate South Africa gift companies can brand? We put our own lines under your name: tablets, bars, dragées in doypacks, gift boxes, Turkish delight boxes and jars, with the label content prepared and nothing printed before you approve it.
Private label for South African brands →Asked before the first list.
Do you work with importers in South Africa?
We quote for importers, sweet distributors, cash and carry buyers and own-brand retailers in South Africa. Send the product references, the quantities you have in mind and the port, Durban or Cape Town; the written offer follows within two working days.
Do you supply the sweet wholesalers and cash and carry trade?
We quote the importers and distributors that supply them, and a wholesale house that imports for itself. The unit of sale is one mixed container, delivered FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, with the pallet plan and the tariff line for each product stated in the offer.
Are the products halaal certified?
Certificates are held for our factory, and the offer names the certifying body for every line with copies on request. A line without a certificate is stated as such.
Does milk chocolate need an import permit?
The importer checks the permit requirement for each line by its ingredients before ordering; our data sheet, with the origin of the dairy ingredients, is what that check needs and it comes with the offer.
Can you make our own brand for the South African market?
Yes — private label is one of our core services. We prepare the label content, you approve the artwork in writing, and the minimum per line is stated in the offer.
What is the minimum order?
One full container, 20 ft or 40 ft, mixed across the lines you choose. The minimum per line is written into the offer.
Is Antep Foods a chocolate manufacturer in Türkiye?
Yes. Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep, exporting since 2002. Production takes place in our own factory; certificates and data sheets are issued for our factory. Wholesale only; prices come in a written offer, not on the site.
