What fits the wall
Dragées, sugared almonds, coated nuts and jellies travel in bulk cartons for repacking and for the pick-and-mix wall. Bulk lokum, cut to a consistent cube and dusted so the pieces stay separate in the bin, belongs to the same family. Wrapped pieces and mini biscuits suit the carton for kiosk and café.
What we quote is the carton, not the finished bag: piece size, wrap and dusting are set per line before loading.
The numbers the bin card runs on
For bland selv slik and løsvægt the piece weight and the count per carton are more use than the case weight. Your bin card and your price per piece hang on them. We state both per line in the offer — not as an approximation but as our own figure.
The case weight and the carton dimensions still travel on the packing list, for your pallet plan. But the number you print on the bin card is per hundred grams or per piece, built upwards from the piece weight. The minimum per line is set per line and stated in the same offer.
Sugared almonds are counted per colour
The one line that surprises people: for sugared almonds the minimum counts per colour, not per carton. A wall that needs four pastel shades is four minimums, and the offer says so before you plan the display. It follows from how they are made rather than how they are sold — each colour is its own panning run, and a run has a floor.
What stands on a warm wall and what does not
Lokum, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry all year and hold up at room temperature. Chocolate-coated pieces travel at +18/+20 °C and belong nearer the counter than a sunlit wall. That is settled with the offer, not at the port: in the warm months a mixed load with chocolate in it is quoted as a reefer.
Who buys the carton
The Danish bulk trade runs through wholesale houses rather than the chains directly. Slik grossist and engros businesses buy by the carton and resell to shops, kiosks and the pick-and-mix walls. Beside them sit konditori suppliers, buying chocolate, coated nuts and pistachio by the kilo, and the Turkish and Middle Eastern grocery importers in København, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg. Three lists out of one container: say which you are before the offer is written.
The season that owns the shelf
Easy to miss from outside: the largest single cluster of searches in Danish confectionery is the chocolate julekalender, with the påskeæg shelf behind it in spring. Neither is a stock line here. A chokoladekalender or an Easter assortment is a format we confirm first — the piece count, the tray, the window, the printing — and the offer then states the lead time. It is ordered against that lead time, not against the season, because the season is the one date that will not move.
The border note
Worth saying plainly: part of Danish pick-and-mix demand physically sits in Germany. The autocomplete makes it obvious — Flensborg, the border, the bordershops. It does not change what a container can deliver, but it changes who buys it: an importer supplying the Danish shelf competes against a price set south of the border. So the question is format, not price — a piece the border shelf does not carry is the one worth a carton.
What to send
Send the references, the quantity per line in cartons or pallets, the port of arrival, and whether you buy for repacking, for a konditori or for a retail shelf. Back within two working days comes a written offer in dollars or euros: piece weight and count per carton per line, the minimum per line, case weight and carton size, the delivery term, the transit and the document set. It is valid thirty days and is not quoted in kroner.
Can you supply for the bland selv slik wall?
Yes. Dragées, sugared almonds, coated nuts, jellies and bulk lokum come in bulk cartons for repacking; the piece weight and the count per carton are stated per line.
Can you make bulk cartons under our own brand?
Yes. The carton takes your label; the inner pieces are wrapped or unwrapped as you specify.
Can several lines share one container?
Yes, that is the point of it. Each line travels on its own pallet, under one packing list and one A.TR movement certificate.
