Several lines, one box, and every decision taken before it loads

A first load into a market with no coastline is not a bet on one product. It is one container, mixed across several lines from our Gaziantep factory, on one order, one document set, arriving at a port in someone else’s country. What follows is how that box is put together: which lines go in, what format each takes, what the offer settles, and what is confirmed before the first order.

Why a first box is mixed rather than single-line

The two halves of this trade are not the same size. On the 2024 declarations, chocolate came to 736,368 US dollars and sugar confectionery 1,213,881. Confectionery is the larger table, and already fed from outside the region.

A single-line container asks you to guess which half your shelf wants, then buy a year of it to find out. Mixing removes that guess: chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and spreads in jars travel in one box, with the minimum set per line rather than per container.

Choosing the lines, and what stays outside them

Start from two lists: what you already sell, and what the chain you buy from does not carry. On the chocolate side 94.8 per cent arrives through one neighbouring country, so a first list is built where that chain is thin, not where it is strong.

Couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, halva, tahini, baklava and empty packaging sit outside our range. They are sourced on request; we confirm composition and format before quoting, and aline we cannot confirm stays out of the offer.

Format is the decision that fills the carton

One product travels several ways, and the format decides both price and shelf. A tablet in a retail wrapper, dragées in a printed carton or a doypack, Turkish delight in a gift box or a bulk carton, spread in one jar size or another — each a different case weight and pallet count.

So name the format per line, not only the product. The offer answers in the same shape: units per case, case weight, cases per pallet and the minimum for that line — the container planned on paper before anything is packed.

The road leg decides what can share the box

There is no coastline, so the journey has two halves. The container loads in Gaziantep, leaves through Mersin about three hours away by road, then finishes overland from a port in a neighbouring country. That inland stretch, not the sea leg, is where chocolate is most exposed.

Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer through the warm months; Turkish delight, dragées, jellies and wrapped candies travel dry. Both share one container. Tell us the port of entry and the inland destination, and we say which lines we would load for that journey and which we would hold for a cooler month.

What the written offer settles

Anything arguable later is written down first: the technical data sheet, the analysis report, ingredients with allergens, metric net weight, case and pallet figures and the price in US dollars. Certificates are issued for our factory, with the certifyingbody named per line.

The delivery term is named too, because it decides where your cost starts. FCA Gaziantep and FOB Mersin hand over early; CIF ends at a coastal port outside your borders; DAP carries on to a named inland point. The origin document and the rules behind it are stated as they apply on the day, with the payment split and banking route.

Confirmed with you before the first order is produced

A short list settles first. The delivery point and the term quoted against it. The format per line. Whether the pack keeps our standard pack or carries your brand, in which case nothing is printed until you approve the artwork. The label: mandatory content prepared in French, with English alongside where your file wants it. And the naming rule on coatings: a vegetable-fat line is a compound or a glaze on the sheet and on the pack, never chocolate, and in the European Union it cannot be labelled as chocolate at all.

Send the references you want priced, the quantities you have in mind and the delivery point; the offer comes back line by line (mixed container).

Can one container really carry several different lines?

That is how we sell in any case. Chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and spreads in jars from our own factory move on one order and one document set, with the minimum set per line ratherthan per container. For a market this size that is the point: a first load tests the formats your shelf actually wants instead of committing you to a year of one product.

We clear at a port in another country and haul inland. Which delivery term should we ask for?

Ask for more than one and compare them. FCA Gaziantep and FOB Mersin leave the sea and road legs with you; CIF ends at the port of entry; DAP continues to a named inland point. Whichever you choose, the offer names the port, the term, who arranges the inland haul and whose agent files the consignment at each step, so nothing about the second half of the journey is assumed.

What do you need from us before you can quote a first container?

The product references with the format for each, the quantities you have in mind, the port of entry and the inland delivery point, and whether the pack keeps our standard pack or carries your brand. The reply comes back line by line with case and pallet data, the price in US dollars and the origin document stated as it applies on the day.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
