Halal first
Brunei asks imported food to carry halal certification its halal authority recognises, and it checks; a container that arrives with a certificate from a body Brunei does not recognise is a container that does not clear. That is why every line with an ingredient of animal origin on our offer travels with our halal certificate and names the certifying body, so the importer checks the recognition before the deposit, not at Muara. Lines without such ingredients are stated as such on the data sheet. The recognised body per line article goes through the same logic for Malaysia.
The chain
A minimart, a kedai runcit, a café or a door-gift company buys chocolate by the carton from a wholesaler; the wholesaler buys by the pallet from an importer, or imports for itself; the importer brings the container into Muara with the permit and the halal paperwork settled. That is the link we quote: a food importer or a wholesale house filling one mixed container from Gaziantep, each line on its own pallet. A container is a large unit for a market this size, which is why it is mixed across five product groups.
What the Bruneian shelf wants from Türkiye
The supermarket wants the tablet and the boxed assortment under a Turkish brand; the gift trade wants the pistachio end, the Dubai style bar with pistachio and kadayif and boxed Turkish delight for Hari Raya; the door-gift trade wants dragées by colour; the minimart wants the wrapped bar and the wrapped sweet. The chocolate page, the dragée page and the Turkish delight page list each group.
Price, and what is not printed here
Chocolate price in Brunei is a shopper’s search; the trade’s answer is in the offer: the price per line in US dollars, the case count, the pallet plan, the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day. Nothing that changes with the exchange rate or the season is printed on a page. Brunei is warm in every season, so chocolate lines are quoted in a reefer year round; dragées, jellies and Turkish delight travel dry.
Who fills the container
The unit of sale is one full container. A wholesaler that moves pallets fills one on its own and is quoted like an importer, with the permit and the registration on its side; a smaller reseller buys by the carton from the wholesaler that does. A group of resellers that pools an order is quoted like an importer too, each buyer’s cartons on their own pallets. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built.
What to send first
The lines from the chocolate page, the dragée page and the Turkish delight page, the quantity per line, and whether any line carries your own brand. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars, with the halal certifying body named per line; the samples page explains how to taste the lines first, and the Brunei page lists what stays the same on every offer.
Can a minimart buy directly from Türkiye?
The unit of sale is one full container. A minimart buys by the carton from the wholesaler that imports it; a group that pools a container and holds the permit is quoted like an importer.
Is everything halal?
Every line with an ingredient of animal origin travels with our halal certificate, and the offer names the certifying body so the importer can check that Brunei recognises it before the deposit.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate lines, yes, year round on this route. Dry lines travel dry; a mixed load is quoted as the offer states.
