The body, checked against the list
Malaysia’s halal authority publishes the foreign certifying bodies it recognises, and an importer, a supermarket buyer or a door gift company checks a foreign product’s certificate against that list before anything else. A Turkish producer’s certificate is from a Turkish or international body; some are on the list and some are not. The offer makes the check possible by naming the holder and the body for every line and attaching copies; lines without a certificate, or with one from an unlisted body, are stated as such.
What the certifier looks at
Cocoa, sugar and nuts are not the issue. The points a certifier checks in chocolate and confectionery are the ingredients that can come from an animal or from alcohol: emulsifiers, flavour carriers, glazing agents on polished dragées, gelatin in jellies and some Turkish delight recipes, and colours. A certificate is issued to a producer for named products after those points are checked at the plant; it is not a property of a country or a product type.
Which Turkish lines usually qualify
Pistachio chocolate tablets and minis, the Dubai style bar with pistachio and kadayif, pistachio cream in jars, starch-set Turkish delight, sugared almonds and chocolate dragées are the lines a halal list is usually built around. Jellies depend on the gelatin; polished dragées on the glazing agent; chocolate on the emulsifier and the flavouring. None of this is decided on this page; it is decided by the certificate for our factory, per line, in the offer. The chocolate page lists the groups.
Hari Raya and the door gift
The season and the wedding are when the question is asked most, because the gift is given to people who will look at the mark. Dragées by colour, pistachio minis, Turkish delight boxes and pistachio cream jars fit the door gift and the Raya box, with the certificate per line and the label content prepared before printing. The Malaysian private label page lists the formats; the door gift article covers the trade.
Building the list
Send the product references and say the list must be halal-certified by bodies on the Malaysian list. The offer comes back with the certificate holder and body per line, the lines that do not meet that marked, and copies available on request; Hari Raya ranges are quoted ahead of the season. One container carries the certified lines next to the rest, each on its own pallet, chocolate lines in a reefer, into Port Klang under the trade agreement’s origin proof. The Malaysia page lists what stays the same on every offer.
How to start
What we need to price it: the lines you want from the chocolate page, how much of each, and where it lands. Two working days later the written offer comes back with the specification, the case weight and the minimum per line.
A sample goes out before any of that if you want to taste the lines first — free from running production, courier at your cost. The malaysia: what stays the same on every offer page lists what stays the same on every offer, and the private label page covers putting your own name on the pack.
Is everything on this site halal?
No blanket claim is made. Certificates are held for our factory; the offer names the holder and the certifying body per line and marks lines without one.
Will a Turkish halal certificate be recognised in Malaysia?
Only if the certifying body is on the Malaysian authority’s list. We name the body per line so the importer can check before ordering.
Is Dubai style chocolate halal?
It depends on our certificate for that line; the offer states it per line with the body, not by product type.
