The chain
A supermarket, a duka, a kiosk or a school canteen buys chocolate and sweets by the carton from a wholesaler in Nairobi or Mombasa or from a regional distributor; the wholesaler buys by the pallet from an importer, or imports for itself; the importer brings the container into Mombasa, or clears it at the Nairobi inland depot, with the certificate of conformity. That is the link we quote: a food importer or a wholesale house filling one mixed container from Gaziantep, each line on its own pallet, with the inspection settled before the deposit.
Two shelves
The supermarkets in Nairobi and Mombasa have chillers and take chocolate: the tablet, the boxed assortment, the pistachio end and the Dubai style bar under a Turkish brand, in a reefer. The duka and the kiosk have no cooling and take the wafer, the wrapped bar, the compound-coated line and wrapped sweets by the kilo bag, dry. The offer states which lines are which, and the chocolate or compound article goes through the difference; one container carries both shelves on their own pallets.
Wholesale candy shops in Nairobi buy wrapped sweets, jellies and coated lines by the carton, and they are supplied by the same distributor that brings the container in.
The price question
Chocolate price in Kenya, chocolate bar price in Kenya, dark chocolate price in Kenya: the largest chocolate searches in the country are shoppers comparing supermarket prices, and they tell an importer that the shelf is watched closely. The trade’s answer is in the offer, not on this site: the price per line in US dollars, the case count, the pallet plan, the tariff line, the duty that applies on the day under the East African tariff and the inspection cost. Nothing that changes with the exchange rate or the season is printed on a page.
What the Kenyan shelf wants from Türkiye
The supermarket wants the tablet and the boxed assortment; the gift shelf wants the pistachio tablet, the Dubai style bar and boxed Turkish delight; the duka wants the wafer, the wrapped bar and the toffee by the piece. The chocolate page, the confectionery page and the Turkish delight page list each group, and most lines are available in our standard packs from the first container.
Who fills the container
The unit of sale is one full container. A Nairobi wholesaler or a regional distributor that moves pallets fills one on its own and is quoted like an importer, with the import declaration and the standards mark on its side; a smaller reseller buys by the carton from the wholesaler that does. A group of resellers that pools an order is quoted like an importer too, each buyer’s cartons on their own pallets. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built.
What to send first
The lines from the chocolate page, the confectionery page and the Turkish delight page, the quantity per line, where you clear, and whether any line carries your own brand. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars and the inspection stated; the samples page explains how to taste the lines first, and the Kenya page lists what stays the same on every offer.
Every line here is made in our own factory at Başpınar OSB, Gaziantep — a 10,000 m² site, exporting since 2002 — and certificate copies are available on request.
Can a duka or a kiosk buy directly from Türkiye?
The unit of sale is one full container. A duka buys by the carton from the wholesaler that imports it; a group that pools a container and holds the import declaration is quoted like an importer.
Do you sell compound-coated lines?
Yes, and the offer says so per line, so the duka shelf gets a line that tolerates the heat and the supermarket chiller gets chocolate in a reefer.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate lines, yes, year round on this route. Compound lines and dry lines are quoted as the offer states.
