A trade of its own
A birth, a wedding, an engagement, a graduation, Ramadan, Eid, the National Day, the corporate season: each has its giveaway, and the giveaway is usually chocolate or dragées, packed and ribboned by a giveaway house, a gift company or a hotel. Those packers buy by the carton from the wholesale trade, and the wholesale trade buys from foodstuff trading companies that import containers. That is the link we quote: an importer filling one mixed container with the lines the giveaway trade asks for, each on its own pallet.
The chocolate wholesale market in Dubai sells from the same cartons the giveaway houses pack from, and both sit at the end of one container out of Gaziantep.
Dragées: almond, chocolate, colour
Almond dragees Dubai and sugar coated almonds Dubai point at the sugared almond: white and ivory for weddings, blue and pink for births, silver and gold for anniversaries and corporate trays, one colour per carton or mixed. Dragee chocolate Dubai points at the chocolate dragée: an almond or hazelnut in milk or dark chocolate under a thin pastel shell, or polished without one. Both come from the panning drums of Gaziantep. The dragée page lists the groups.
Chocolate favours, boxes and hampers
Mini bars and mini tablets for favours, pistachio minis at the top of the tray; printed gift boxes of mini bars or Turkish delight assortments for Eid and for corporate gifts; and the pieces a hamper company adds to dates and coffee. The chocolate page lists the formats, and a giveaway house that packs under its own name can have the pouch, the wrapper or the box printed under its brand on selected lines.
What the packer asks first
Colour and finish, because the giveaway is seen before it is tasted. Wrapped or loose, because a hotel packs by hand and a gift company by machine. Shelf life on the data sheet, because the giveaway is ordered weeks before the event. Halal, answered per line by our certificate and the certifying body named in the offer. And the carton: one product, one colour, a case weight a packer can carry. All of it is stated per line in the offer.
The route
Sugared almonds travel dry; chocolate dragées, minis and boxes travel in a reefer on the Jebel Ali route, year round. Both share one container, dry pallets and cold pallets as the offer states. A giveaway order is usually timed to a season, so the reefer and the dry pallets are booked together. The Saudi giveaway article covers the same trade across the border; the United Arab Emirates page lists what stays the same on every offer.
Asking for a price
Start with the dragées page: pick the lines, say how many and name the port. The written offer follows within two working days and states what each line weighs by the carton and what the minimum is.
Tasting first is normal — samples are free from running production, you cover the courier. The united arab emirates: what stays the same on every offer page lists what stays the same on every offer, and the private label page covers putting your own name on the pack.
Do you sell giveaway chocolates to gift companies directly?
The unit of sale is one full container; gift companies, hotels and giveaway houses buy from the wholesale trade and the foodstuff trading companies we quote.
Can we order dragées in one colour?
Yes. Cartons are packed by colour; mixes are also available. The colours per line are in the offer.
Can the giveaway pack carry our brand?
On selected lines, as one of our core services, with the Arabic and English label content prepared before printing.
