Dubai-style bar in Croatia: the category is settled, the supply questions are not

In Croatia the introduction has already been made. Croatian retailers list the bar under the Dubai name and the national press covered its arrival, so shoppers recognise the format before anyone explains it. The category question is closed. What is open is supply — which line, which format, which minimum, which label.

Home  /  Blog  /  Croatian shelves and the national press have already introduced the Dubai-style bar — what is still open is supply: which line, which format, which minimum, which label.  ·

The category work is finished

When a format reaches a national shelf and the national press in the same season, the expensive part of the launch is over. Croatian buyers know the bite, the shelf price and the rotation, and nobody needs a page explaining what kadayıf is.

What is left is the unglamorous half: a specification that holds, a landed cost that works, a delivery date. We are a manufacturer and exporter: the bars are made in our own factory in Gaziantep. The range sits on the chocolate page.

Coating, label, and whose certificates these are

Two bars that look identical in a photograph can be different products on paper. A coating built on vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter cannot be called chocolate on an EU label, which moves the cost base, the ingredient statement and the shelf wording at once. The offer says, line by line, whether the coating is chocolate or a cocoa glaze — before anything reaches artwork.

The rest of the label follows EU food information rules, and we build that text from our technical specification. Certificates work the same way: they are issued for our factory, and copies are available on request. Under your own brand nothing goes to print without written approval — see the private label page.

The minimum is per line, not per container

The sales unit is a full container or a full truck; there are no partial loads. That reads like a barrier until you see where the minimum sits. The minimum is set per line, notper container, and the offer states it beside the technical specification, ingredients and allergens, net weight, case and pallet data and the customs tariff heading.

So a first order need not be a wall of one reference: six or seven items can travel in measured quantities, each on its own pallet, under one packing list and one movement document.

What rides with the bar

One bar reference rarely fills a container alone, so it usually travels in a mixed container built from lines aimed at the same buyer: chocolate dragées and sugared almonds, chocolate-coated nut and fruit centres, Turkish delight in bulk and in retail boxes, jelly and popping candy in bulk cases for a weigh-out shelf, and pistachio spread in jars.

Mixing also spreads the risk: if one reference rotates slowly, a whole container has not been spent on it.

Temperature decides the shipping month

Chocolate and chocolate-coated products travel at +18/+20 °C, so in hot months we offer a refrigerated container. A dry container stays a legitimate choice, but then the temperature risk passes to the buyer in writing, before loading — not at unloading. Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jelly lines travel dry all year, and often carry the summer orders.

Croatia is in the EU, and the customs union with Türkiye puts processed food on an A.TR movement certificate. We publish no rates: the quotation states what applies on the day it is issued. Background sits on the Croatia market page.

What to send

Two clarifications, because both surface late otherwise. The jar is a spread, not a 100% pâtissier paste, and it belongs in a listing as a spread rather than a pastry ingredient. Baklava, which Croatian shoppers do search for by name, is not in the main range; it can be sourced on request, with composition and format confirmed before any offer.

For awritten offer, send the retail format and net weight, an indicative quantity per line, your coating preference, the label language and the delivery city. We reply in two working days. Payment is 50% at order and 50% before the container leaves, against loading photographs.

Is the coating chocolate or a cocoa glaze?

It depends on the line, and the offer states which. A coating made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter cannot be labelled as chocolate in the EU, so the technical specification settles the wording before any artwork is prepared.

Can we start with the Dubai-style bar alone?

The sales unit is a full container or a full truck, and one reference rarely fills either. Because the minimum is set per line rather than per container, the bar normally travels with other lines in a mixed load.

Whose name are the certificates in?

The producer's. Each line is made in our Gaziantep factory, the certificates are issued for our factory, and copies are available on request.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
