The half that is rarely written
Search for how to import chocolate into Morocco and you land on customs consultancies, freight forwarders and news articles about tariff changes. All useful, all written from the buyer's side of the table. The half that is missing is what the exporter and the producer put in the file before the container moves, and that is what this page covers.
We are a manufacturer and exporter in Gaziantep. One container can carry lines from our own factory on one order and one set of documents.
The agreement and the origin proof
A free trade agreement applies between Morocco and Türkiye, and preferential treatment depends on the origin proof issued for each product. That proof travels with the document set; it is not a formality that can be added later.
What decides the landed cost is the tariff line for each product, and the tariff treatment of confectionery has been revised more than once in recent years. That is precisely why no duty figure appears anywhere on this site: a number that was right last season is a liability this one. The offer states the tariff line per product and what applies on the day.
Arabic or French, as the file requires
The mandatory label information goes on in Arabic or French, as the importer's file requires, with the other language alongside where the shelf wants it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage, the importer's name and address, and the fields for the production and expiry dates we print on the pack.
For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack already carries and what the importer adds. For private label we prepare the label content from our technical data sheet and check your artwork against it before anything is printed.
What we issue per line
The technical data sheet per product, our certificates, the analysis report for the lot, the commercial invoice and the packing list per pallet. Where a line contains ingredients of animal origin, gelatine in jellies above all, copies of our halal certificate are available on request and the offer names the certifying body so the importer can check it is recognised before ordering.
Route and temperature
Sea freight from Mersin to Casablanca or Tanger Med, with the transshipment port, the delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, and the transit stated in the offer. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer for the warm months; Turkish delight, sugared almonds, jellies and pistachio products travel dry, and both share one container.
The proportion between them changes the average cost per kilo of the shipment, which is a decision taken when the line list is drawn up rather than after the booking.
What to send
The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like; the minimum per line and the case weight are stated in the offer.
The references from the chocolate page, the dragée page and the Turkish delight page, the quantity per line, the port, Casablanca or Tanger Med, and whether any line carries your own brand. The written offer follows within two working days and the label content prepared in Arabic or French; the samples page explains how to taste the lines first.
Is there a trade agreement between Morocco and Türkiye?
A free trade agreement applies, and preferential treatment depends on the origin proof issued for each product, which travels with the document set. The offer states the tariff line and what applies on the day.
Why is no duty rate shown on the site?
Because the tariff treatment of confectionery has been revised more than once in recent years. A published figure would be out of date; the quotation carries the current one.
Which language does the label need?
Arabic or French, as the importer's file requires, with the other language alongside where the shelf wants it. For private label we prepare the content from our technical data sheet.
