Importing confectionery to Yemen from Türkiye: what the supplier prepares

Most of what is written about importing into Yemen is written for someone else. The importer already knows his own side of the table. What is rarely set out is the exporter's half: which documents we issue, what the Arabic label has to carry, how the container is loaded and which lines need a reefer. This page is that half, written from Gaziantep.

What we issue per line

The technical data sheet per product, our certificates, the health certificate, the analysis report for the lot, the commercial invoice and the packing list per pallet. Where a line contains ingredients of animal origin, gelatine in jellies above all, copies of our halal certificate are available on request, and the offer names the certifying body per line so the importer can check that it is recognised before ordering.

We are the manufacturer and exporter. Shelf life, ingredients and allergen information come from our technical data sheet; we do not invent them.

The Arabic label

We prepare the Arabic label content, with English alongside if you want it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage, the importer's name and address, and the fields for the production and expiry dates we print on the pack.

Dates are printed in production on the line, not applied as stickers afterwards. For a private-label line, nothing is printed before you approve the artwork in writing.

Chocolate or compound, and the reefer

A shelf without cooling and a bar that softens on it is a bar the shopkeeper does not reorder. The offer states per line whether it is chocolate or a compound coating, so the right line goes to the grocery shelf and the right line, in a reefer, to the cooled one.

Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer; Turkish delight, sugared almonds, jellies and pistachio products travel dry. Both can share one container, and the proportion between them moves the average cost per kilo of the shipment.

One container, several producers

We make chocolate, dragées and Turkish delight in our own factory in Gaziantep, so one container can carry several lines on one order and one set of documents, each line on its own pallet.

That is what makes a first shipment practical: a range across the shelf instead of a full load of a single reference.

Route and terms

Sea freight from Mersin, with the port, the transshipment, the delivery term, FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, and the transit stated in the offer. Rules and routings change, so the offer states what applies on the day rather than a claim printed here.

Offers are in US dollars; bank transfer only, 50% with the order and 50% before the container leaves, against the loading photographs. The banking route is agreed before the deposit.

What to send

The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like; the minimum per line and the case weight are stated in the offer.

The references from the chocolate page and the confectionery page, the quantity per line and the port. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars, with the certifying body named per line; the Yemen page lists what stays the same on every offer.

Who issues the halal certificate?

It is held for our factory. The offer names the holder and the certifying body per line so the importer can check it is recognised.

Do all the lines need a reefer?

No. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer; Turkish delight, sugared almonds, jellies and pistachio products travel dry, and both can share one container.

What is the minimum order?

One full container, mixed across as many lines as you like. The minimum per line and the case weight are stated in the offer.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
