The customs union
Ireland is in the EU, and Türkiye and the EU are in a customs union. Chocolate and confectionery travel with an A.TR movement certificate issued in Türkiye, which covers the industrial part of the goods; what applies to the agricultural component, the sugar and the dairy in the recipe, is stated in the offer for the day. Nothing about duty is printed on this site, because it changes; the landed cost is in the offer, before the order.
Who holds what
The importer is registered as a food business with the food safety authority and stays responsible for what it places on the market. As the Turkish producer we do not register in Ireland; we supply the documents the entry needs. Where a line contains dairy, as milk chocolate does, the EU rules for composite products apply and the attestation the entry needs is drawn up from our documents; the offer states which lines that touches.
The label
An English label to the EU food information rules: the ingredient list with allergens emphasised, the nutrition declaration per 100 g, metric net quantity, the best before date, storage, and the name and EU address of the food business responsible for the product. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack carries and what the importer adds; for private label we prepare the content. The Irish private label page goes through it.
Documents, the route and the reefer
The commercial set is the invoice, the packing list per pallet, the A.TR certificate, the analysis report and, for pistachio lines, an aflatoxin certificate, listed on the how we work page. Sea freight from Mersin to Dublin or Cork, with a road trailer through Europe quoted on request; chocolate lines are quoted in a reefer for the warm months and dry lines travel dry. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built.
What the offer names
Every line on the offer carries the tariff line, the format and case weight, whether it travels dry or in the reefer, and the documents that come with it. That is deliberate: a customs entry under the A.TR, a label review and the composite-product attestation each ask which plant made the product, and an importer that can answer from the offer does not wait for the answer later. The commercial documents and the A.TR are issued in the exporter’s name; the certificates are issued for our factory, and the offer says which is which.
The timeline
Documents first, then the deposit, then production, then the container. An importer that has cleared our lines once clears the next lines faster, because the data sheets and certificates are already on file. The Ireland page lists what stays the same on every offer.
What to send
Send the references from the product pages, the quantity per line and the destination port. The written offer follows within two working days, the case weight and the minimum stated for each.
Samples come free from our running production; the courier is on your account and paid before dispatch. The ireland: what stays the same on every offer page lists what stays the same on every offer, and the private label page covers putting your own name on the pack.
Is there duty on chocolate from Türkiye into Ireland?
The goods travel under the customs union with an A.TR certificate; what applies to the agricultural component is stated in the offer for the day, not on this site.
Does the Turkish producer register in Ireland?
No. The importer is the registered food business; we supply the data sheets, certificates and the documents the composite-product attestation is drawn up from.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate lines in the warm months, yes. Dry lines travel dry; a mixed load is quoted as the offer states.
