Two columns, one box: sequencing a first order

A first container is not a catalogue with a lid on it. It is a short sequence of decisions: which lines earn a pallet, which format each one travels in, what the carton carries, what the offer states in writing, and what is confirmed before a deposit moves. In that order, the second container is arepeat rather than a rebuild.

Two columns decide the opening list

The list comes before the box, and here it answers to two columns shaped nothing alike. On the 2024 figures declared here, chocolate is about 2,580,942 US dollars and divided: France at roughly 18.6 per cent, Italy at 15.7, Türkiye third at 13.5. Sugar confectionery is larger at about 4,235,625 and runs the other way: India at roughly 50.1 per cent, Türkiye second at 5.58.

A divided column is entered quote by quote, which suits a wider list; one filled largely from a single origin is entered as cover, and suits fewer lines with more cartons each.

Which lines earn a pallet

The range is chocolate tablets and bars, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and spreads in jars. A first container carries fewer lines than the opening list suggests: a few with depth behind them reorder, while a dozen one carton deep sit.

Couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, halva, tahini and baklava sit outside that range: sourced on request, and we confirm composition and format before quoting. The question comesup often here: several of the 11 English phrases above our threshold spell tahini and baklava, at 110 and 70 a month.

Format, colour and a calendar

One product is several offers depending on the pack: the same dragée travels loose in a kilo carton, in a doypack, or in a printed box for a gift table, each format with its own pieces per carton, case weight and minimum. Two prices compare only once the format sits beside the line.

French search here reads as a calendar: the wedding-guest phrase at 320 a month is the largest thing measured, with dragée and loukoum at 30 each. Colour is a production run, so the minimum and lead time per colour are stated per line and booked ahead of the season.

What the carton says, and how the box is stuffed

Each carton carries its pack, net weight, case weight and producer, and the loading is photographed before the doors close. Inside, the lines do not behave alike: chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer, while Turkish delight, dragées, jellies and wrapped confectionery travel dry, and both share the box.

Temperature earns a sentence of its own: the warm season at the arrival end does not line up with the loading end’s. No land route reaches an island, and the sea leg usually runs through a transhipment, so the offer names the route and that point.

What the offer states before anyone pays

The offer covers every line, with its data sheet and analysis report behind it. Certificates are issued for our factory, so the holder and the certifying body are named perline. The origin document and applicable rules are named as they stand on the day.

Label content is prepared in French from that sheet, Malagasy added if you ask at the offer stage, and nothing is printed for an own-label line before you approve it. A vegetable-fat coating is a compound or a glaze on the sheet and in the price list; in the European Union it cannot be labelled chocolate. The jar line is a spread.

Confirm these, then ask for the container

Before a deposit changes hands, four things belong in writing: composition and format for any line sourced on request; the minimum and lead time per colour; whose brand each pack carries; and the delivery term — FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP, with Mersin about three hours away by road.

Send the lines you want priced with a format against each, an indicative quantity and the delivery point, and ask for it in writing. One container carries several lines on oneorder and one document set (mixed container), so a first order tests four shelves instead of one (how we work).

How wide should the first list be for this market?

It depends on which column you are filling. The chocolate column here is divided between several sources and is entered quote by quote, which suits a wider list; the sugar confectionery column is about half filled from one origin and is usually entered as cover, which suits fewer lines with more cartons behind each. Send the whole list either way, with a format and an indicative quantity against each line, and the written offer shows what each one costs per carton.

Can wedding dragées and chocolate travel in the same container?

Yes. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer, Turkish delight, dragées, jellies and wrapped confectionery travel dry, and both can share one box. Colour needs time rather than space: a colour is a production run, so the minimum per colour and the lead time are stated per line, and seasonal quantities are booked ahead of the season instead of chased during it.

What has to be confirmed before we place a first order?

Composition and format for any line sourced on request, the minimum and lead time per colour, whose brand each pack carries, the point of entry and the place you unload, and the delivery term. From our side the offer carries the technical data sheet, the analysis report and the certificates issued for our factory; gelatine lines travel with our halal certificate where theproducer holds one. Label content is prepared in French, with Malagasy added for your translator if your file asks for it.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
