Breadth before depth, and the table says why
Start with the size of the shelf. 5,761,613 and 1,957,168 dollars across a whole year is not a market that absorbs a load of one article, and a supplier opening with tonnage is describing somewhere else.
So the opening order is planned as an assortment. The unit of sale is one full container, but it need not be one product: mixed across as many lines as you like, a single arrival populates a section instead of stacking one item. Depth is a decision for the reorder.
Which lines can share one box
The range that loads here is chocolate, dragées, Turkish delight, wrapped confectionery and spreads in jars — tablets and bars, dragées in cartons and doypacks, jellies and wrapped sweets, all on one packing list.
What sits outside the range is said plainly. Couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, empty packaging, baklava, halva and tahini are sourced on request: we confirm composition and format before quoting, and whatever is confirmed loads in the same box.
Format is a second decision, taken per line
Choosing a line is not choosing its format. The same chocolate leaves as a bulk carton for a wholesaler, a retail box for a supermarket fixture or a printed gift box for a resort counter. A dragée runs in a carton or a doypack; the jar line is a spread.
Producer-brand and own-label lines travel in the same container. Where the request is a shelf word rather than a product — the thick filled bar asked for by a city name, measured here at 50 searches a month — name the filling, the bar weight and the pack, and we confirm which line comes closest.
What the carton has to carry
Case weight, pieces per carton and pallet data are stated per line rather than averaged over the order. A carton sized for a mainland warehouse can be wrong once a consignment is broken down and moved on to individual shops; where a line runs in more than one case size, the offer says so.
The same list carries one further split. The route is tropical throughout, so chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer, while Turkish delight, dragées, jellies and wrapped confectionery travel dry. Both share one container, and the list names which lines are which.
What the written offer states
The offer comes back line by line: ingredients and allergens, net weight, case and pallet data, the minimum for that line, lead time and delivery term. Terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP; Mersin is about three hours from our factory by road. Prices are in USdollars.
Minimums are set per line, which is what lets one box carry five orsix groups at once. Certificates are issued for our factory, the holder named per line. Theorigin document and the rules that apply are named in the offer in the form valid on the day; your clearing agent confirms what applies.
Settled before anything is produced
The label comes first. English carries the name of the food, the ingredients with allergens, net weight, the importer’s name and address and the date marking; French alongside is a normal request here. A coating made on vegetable fat is named a compound or a glaze on the data sheet and on the pack, never chocolate — in the European Union it may not be labelled chocolate at all. Own-label artwork prints only against your written approval.
Then send the list: the lines you want priced, the format for each, an indicative quantity, your delivery point and who is named as importer of record (mixed container, how we work).
How many lines is it sensible to put in a first container?
As many as your section needs, which on a shelf this size usually means five or six groups rather than one deep line. The minimum attaches to the line and is set per line, not to the shipment, so chocolate, dragées, boxed Turkish delight, jellies, wrapped confectionery and spreads in jars can sit in the same box at quantities matched to how fast each turns over.
Can our own wrapper travel with lines in our standard packs in the same load?
Yes, and it is the usual arrangement for an opening order. Own-label lines are built from our technical data sheet, the label content is prepared in English and in French where your file wants it, you place it in your artwork, and nothing is printed before you approve the final version in writing. Both kinds of line appear on one packing list.
What do you need from us before the first offer can be written?
The lines you want priced and the format for each — bulk carton, retail box, doypack or jar, the jar line being a spread; an indicative quantity; your delivery point; and who is named as importer of record. Anything outside the range, such as couverture, bulk chocolate by the kilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, baklava, halva or tahini, is sourced on request, and we confirm composition and format before quoting.
