Slovenia: A.TR, the Slovenian label, and a map of who signs what

A first order into Slovenia rarely stalls on the goods. It stalls on a quieter question: who is responsible for what. Slovenia is an EU member inside the customs union with Türkiye, so the route is ordinary. What splits is the file — part issued by our factory in Gaziantep, part travelling with the load, part signed only by the company receiving it.

The customs frame, and why no rate is printed here

Processed food moving from Türkiye to Slovenia travels under an A.TR movement certificate, issued for that shipment and tied to the invoice and packing list.

A load of filled bars, lokum and gelled sweets does not sit under one heading, so the offer names the customs tariff position line by line. What is charged against those positions is read at clearance by your own broker: the quotation states what applies on the day it is issued.

Which papers come from which side

Per line, in writing, from the supplier side: our technical specification, the ingredient list with allergens identified, the net weight, and the batch analysis for the lot loaded. With the goods travel the invoice and a packing list built pallet by pallet.

Where a producer holds food safety, halal or kosher certification, copies join that file and are issued for our factory: certification belongs to the plant running the line, not to the exporter consolidating the container. What you receive is a map — which producer makes which item, and what it holds.

Slovenian on the pack, and the name only the importer carries

On the Slovenian shelf the EU food information rules put the mandatory particulars in Slovenian: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens emphasised inside it, the net quantity, storage conditions, date marking and batch code.

One field is not ours to fill. The pack names the operator first placing the food on the EU market — on this route the importer, not the exporter and not the producer. The customs declaration sits on the same side of that line.

Two names to settle before the print run

Two words cause most reprints. The first is the coating: finished with a vegetable-fat glaze rather than cocoa butter, a bar cannot be labelled chocolate in the EU. The specification says per line which of the two an item carries, and the pack copy follows it.

The second is the jar. Buyers ask for a cream or search for a paste; what ships is a spread, not a cream, and not the 100 per cent pâtisserie paste bought by the kilo — that grade sits outside the main range, sourced on request once we confirm it. On private label the text is drafted from the specification, nothing goes to print without written approval, and the clock runs from the agreed brief and that approval.

How the load is built, and at what temperature

The minimum is set per line and written into the offer — not per container. That is why a first order can hold six or seven references in measured quantity, not a year's cover of one. Each line rides on its own pallet, under one packing list and one movement certificate, which keeps a mixed container countable at the other end.

Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines travel at +18/+20 °C, so a refrigerated container is offered for warm months. If a dry container is preferred, the temperature risk passes to the buyer in writing, before loading. Lokum, sugared almonds and gelled sweets go dry all year.

What to send

Send the references you want quoted with a quantity against each, the pack format per line, whether the goods carry your brand or ours, the delivery address or port, and any label template you work from. Name the loading month too: that decides the container.

The written offer follows within two working days, line by line: technical specification, ingredients and allergens, net weight, carton and pallet data, minimum per line and tariff position. Payment runs 50 per cent at order and 50 per cent before the container leaves, against loading photographs — the sequence is in how we work.

Which language do the mandatory particulars have to be in?

Slovenian, for goods sold on the Slovenian market. The text is drafted and signed off on the importer's side, out of our technical specification, the ingredient and allergen data and the net weight supplied per line.

Can the certificates be issued in our company's name?

No. Food safety, halal and kosher certificates are issued for our factory, for its plant and itslines. We state line by line which certificates apply, and copies are available on request.

Is the jar the same thing as pistachio paste?

No. What travels is a spread for the retail shelf, not a cream and not the 100 per cent pâtisserie paste bought by the kilo for confectionery work. That grade is outside the main range and can be sourced on request after we confirm composition and format.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
