One box, many lines, one arrival
The unit of sale is a full container, and it need not be one product. Several lines from our Gaziantep factory sit on one order — wrapped sweets, dragées, boxed Turkish delight, tablets and spreads in jars — in a single load that moves under one document set and arrives once (mixed container).
That matters on a first order: you are not made to bet a whole box on a line you have never sold. Take a real carton count of what you already sell and a small share of what you are testing, then read the answer off your counter.
The list that starts it
Nothing can be priced from a category name. What opens the file is a list: the lines you want, the format for each, an indicative quantity per line, the delivery point, and the importer named on the pack. With no references yet, describe the shelf you are filling instead.
Say in the same message whether the pack keeps our standard pack or carries your brand: an own-label line waits for artwork approval, a standard-pack line does not.
Format is a second decision, taken line by line
The same sweet exists in several formats, not interchangeable on price, case weight or the counter. A jelly ships as a bulk carton by the kilo, a printed retail bag or a doypack; Turkish delight as a bulk box or a gift box; a dragée as a counter jar or a wholesale carton. The jar line is a spread, and is quoted as one.
Settle the format before the quantity: a bulk carton and a retail bag of one product answer to different buyers, and the list has to say which, per line.
What the carton has to survive
There is no seaport at the end of this route. The box is discharged in a neighbouring country and finishes overland under a transit procedure, handled more often and sitting in more heat than on a door-to-door sea lane. That is a packing question before a product one.
Wrapped sweets, toffees, jellies, sugar-shelled dragées and Turkish delight travel dry and share one box without special handling. Chocolate does not, and a reefer holds only as far as the cold chain reaches. A vegetable-fat coating is named a compound or a glaze, never chocolate; in the European Union it may not be sold as chocolate at all.
What the offer states, line by line
One written offer in US dollars comes back within two working days of the list. Against each line it carries the price, case weight, piece count, cartons per pallet, lead time, delivery term and the document set. Terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP; Mersin is about three hours from our factory by road, so the Turkish leg is the short part (
The origin document and the rules in force are named as they stand on the day, and your clearing agent confirms them.
Confirmed before, not adjusted afterwards
A line enters the offer only once we have confirmed the composition and format you asked for; one that cannot be confirmed is left out rather than promised and corrected later. Label content is prepared in English from the technical data sheet — the name of the food, ingredients with allergens, metric net weight, storage conditions, the date marking and the importer’s name and address — and own-label artwork is checked against it before printing.
Certificates are issued for our factory, with the certifying body named per line. Couverture, bulk chocolate by thekilo, raw nuts, dried fruit, cocoa, halva, tahini and baklava are sourced on request: composition and format are confirmed before quoting. Send the list, and say what the firstcontainer should carry.
Can a first container hold more than one product?
Yes, and it usually should. The unit of sale is a full container mixed across as many lines as you like, drawn from our own factory in Gaziantep, consolidated into one load with one document set and onearrival. That lets a first order carry a real carton count of the lines you already sell plus a small deliberate share of the ones you are testing, without committing a whole box to either.
What do you need from us before you can quote?
A list: the lines you want, the format for each — bulk carton, retail bag, doypack, gift box, counter jar — an indicative quantity per line, the delivery point, and the importer named on the pack. Also say whether the label keeps our standard pack or carries your brand. If you have no references yet, describe the shelf you are filling and the lines are proposed against it.
What is written in the offer, and what stays open?
Per line: price in US dollars, case weight, piece count, cartons per pallet, lead time, delivery term and the document set, back within two working days. Terms quoted are FCA Gaziantep, FOB Mersin, CIF or DAP. The origin document and the rules in force are named as they stand on the day and your clearing agent confirms them; a line we cannot confirm is left out of the offer rather than adjusted afterwards.
