What to import from Türkiye to Nigeria: the confectionery answer, by the container

Buyers ask a trader’s question. Chocolate, biscuits and confectionery are among the answers the Nigerian trade already gives. Here is the supplier’s side of that answer, honestly, including who it is not for. Registration sits on the importer's side and cannot be shortened from ours, which is why it belongs in the plan before the container rather than after it. The unit of sale is one full container, mixed across as many lines as you like, with the minimum per line and the case weight stated in the offer. Offers are written in US dollars and are valid for the period stated on the document itself. Each line travels on its own pallet and the container is mixed, so a first order can cover a shelf instead of a single reference, with the minimum stated per line.

Who this is for, and who it is not

The mini importation searches ask a smaller question than a container, and a container is the unit of sale here. A distributor, a wholesale house or a souvenir company that imports fills one mixed container from Gaziantep and supplies the smaller traders from it; a trader who wants a few cartons buys from that distributor, not from Türkiye. We say so plainly because a wrong expectation costs both sides time.

What sells

Turkish chocolate, biscuits and wafers already sell in Nigeria under Turkish brands, through the provision store and the supermarket. From this site the lines that fit are the everyday wrapped bar and the kilo assortment, chocolate dragées and sugared almonds for the wedding souvenir and the party pack, wrapped sweets and jellies for the wholesale trade, and the pistachio tablet and Turkish delight box for the gift shelf. Biscuits and wafers are sourced on request and loaded in the same container. The wrapped bar turns fastest; the pistachio tablet earns the most per carton. The product pages list each group.

The registration, first

Every imported food product is registered with the Nigerian food and drug authority by the importer before it is shipped, and the number goes on the label. We supply the documents that registration asks for: the free sale certificate, the certificate of analysis, the authorisation letter and the technical data sheet, named per line in the offer. The registration is started before the deposit, because it is not counted in the lead time. The registration article goes through it.

The container

One mixed container from Mersin to Lagos, Apapa, Tin Can or Lekki, each line on its own pallet: chocolate lines in a reefer year round because the route crosses the tropics, Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies dry. The offer states the price per line, the case count, the pallet plan and the tariff line; nothing about duty or the exchange rate is printed on this site, because both change. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built.

What to send first

The product references, the quantity per line, the port, whether any line carries your own brand and whether the list must be halal-certified for the north. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars,, the certificate holder and the registration documents named per line. The Nigeria page lists what stays the same on every offer.
