Chocolate wholesale in Cameroon: Douala, the kiosk shelf, chocolate or compound, and the container behind the cartons

The trade describes a trade that buys by the carton in Douala and sells on to Yaoundé, the west and the north. Here is the chain from the supplier’s side, why the offer says chocolate or compound per line, and who in the chain buys the container.

The chain

A boutique, a kiosk, a supermarket or a street seller buys chocolate and sweets by the carton from a wholesaler in Douala or Yaoundé, or from a regional distributor in Bafoussam, Bamenda or Garoua; the wholesaler buys by the pallet from an importer, or imports for itself; the importer brings the container into Douala with the conformity paperwork for the lines that need it. That is the link we quote: a food importer or a wholesale house filling one mixed container from Gaziantep, each line on its own pallet.

Chocolate or compound

Most Cameroonian shelves have no cooling, and a bar that melts on the kiosk shelf is not a bar. Turkish confectionery already reaches Cameroon on price and on tolerance to heat: the wafer, the wrapped bar, the compound-coated line that stands up to the afternoon. The offer states per line whether it is chocolate or compound, so an importer puts the right line on the kiosk shelf and the right line, in a reefer, on the supermarket shelf in Douala and Yaoundé. The chocolate or compound article goes through the difference.

What the Cameroonian shelf wants from Türkiye

Cameroon grows cocoa and has its own chocolate makers, and we do not quote against them on the cocoa bar. What the container adds is the everyday wafer and wrapped bar for the kiosk trade, wrapped sweets by the kilo bag, and for the supermarket and the gift shelf what the cocoa country does not make: the pistachio tablet, the Dubai style bar, dragées and boxed Turkish delight. The confectionery page, the chocolate page and the Turkish delight page list the groups.

The French label and the price

A French label with English alongside for the North West and South West, with the ingredients and allergens, net weight, the dates and the importer’s name. The price per line in US dollars, the case count, the pallet plan, the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day under the Central African tariff are in the offer, with the conformity cost where it applies; nothing that changes with the exchange rate or the season is printed on this site.

Who fills the container

The unit of sale is one full container. A Douala wholesaler or a regional distributor that moves pallets fills one on its own and is quoted like an importer, with the import declaration on its side; a smaller reseller buys by the carton from the wholesaler that does. A group of resellers that pools an order is quoted like an importer too, each buyer’s cartons on their own pallets. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built.

What to send first

The lines from the chocolate page, the confectionery page and the Turkish delight page, the quantity per line, and whether any line carries your own brand. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars and the conformity stated; the samples page explains how to taste the lines first, and the Cameroon page lists what stays the same on every offer.

Every line here is made in our own factory at Başpınar OSB, Gaziantep — a 10,000 m² site, exporting since 2002 — and certificate copies are available on request.

Can a kiosk or a boutique buy directly from Türkiye?

The unit of sale is one full container. A kiosk buys by the carton from the wholesaler that imports it; a group that pools a container and holds the import declaration is quoted like an importer.

Do you sell compound-coated lines?

Yes, and the offer says so per line, so the kiosk shelf gets a line that tolerates the heat and the supermarket shelf gets chocolate in a reefer.

Is the container a reefer?

For chocolate lines, yes, year round on this route. Compound lines and dry lines are quoted as the offer states.

How to order
