The chain
A grocery, a supermarket, a sweets shop or a market stall buys chocolate and sweets by the carton from a wholesaler; the wholesaler buys by the pallet from an importer, or imports for itself; the importer brings the container into Port Sudan with the Arabic label and the halal paperwork settled. That is the link we quote: a food importer or a wholesale house filling one mixed container from Gaziantep, each line on its own pallet, with the documents per line sent before the deposit.
Chocolate or compound
Most Sudanese shelves have no cooling, and a bar that melts on the grocery shelf is not a bar. Turkish confectionery already reaches Sudan on price and on tolerance to heat: the wafer, the wrapped bar, the compound-coated line that stands up to the afternoon. The offer states per line whether it is chocolate or compound, so an importer puts the right line on the grocery shelf and the right line, in a reefer, on the supermarket shelf. The chocolate or compound article goes through the difference.
What the Sudanese shelf wants from Türkiye
The everyday shelf wants the wafer, the wrapped bar and wrapped sweets by the kilo bag; the supermarket wants the tablet and the boxed assortment under a Turkish brand; the occasion trade wants sugared almonds by colour, chocolate dragées and gift boxes for weddings and Eid; and the gift shelf has room for boxed Turkish delight and the pistachio end. The confectionery page, the chocolate page and the dragée page list the groups.
Price, and what is not printed here
Chocolate price in Sudan is a shopper’s search; the trade’s answer is in the offer: the price per line in US dollars, the case count, the pallet plan, the tariff line and the duty that applies on the day, with the banking route that applies on the day. Nothing that changes with the exchange rate or the season is printed on this site, so a wholesaler is never quoting from a number that has since moved.
Who fills the container
The unit of sale is one full container. A wholesaler that moves pallets fills one on its own and is quoted like an importer, with the import licence and the registration on its side; a smaller reseller buys by the carton from the wholesaler that does. A group of resellers that pools an order is quoted like an importer too, each buyer’s cartons on their own pallets. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built.
What to send first
The lines from the chocolate page, the confectionery page and the dragée page, the quantity per line, and whether any line carries your own brand. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars, with the certifying body named per line; the samples page explains how to taste the lines first, and the Sudan page lists what stays the same on every offer.
Every line here is made in our own factory at Başpınar OSB, Gaziantep — a 10,000 m² site, exporting since 2002 — and certificate copies are available on request.
Can a grocery or a sweets shop buy directly from Türkiye?
The unit of sale is one full container. A shop buys by the carton from the wholesaler that imports it; a group that pools a container and holds the licence is quoted like an importer.
Do you sell compound-coated lines?
Yes, and the offer says so per line, so the grocery shelf gets a line that tolerates the heat and the supermarket shelf gets chocolate in a reefer.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate lines, yes, year round on this route. Compound lines and dry lines are quoted as the offer states.
