The trade agreement and the origin proof
Malaysia and Türkiye have a free trade agreement. Whether a product enters under preferential terms depends on its origin proof, issued per product on the basis of where and how it was made; the offer states the tariff line and what applies on the day, and nothing about duty is printed on this site. The origin proof travels with the document set, next to the certificate of origin.
Who holds what
The importer registers with the health ministry’s food safety division and clears the goods under the food import rules at the port. The Turkish producer does not register in Malaysia. That splits the work: the importer builds its registration and its halal file; the supplier sends what those need so the file points at the right plant. The details change; the offer states what applies on the day.
The label
An English or Malay label with the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, the nutrition information panel where required, metric net quantity, storage, best-before wording and the importer’s name and address. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack carries and what the importer adds; for private label we prepare the content from the data sheet and check the artwork before printing. The Malaysian private label page goes through it.
Halal, from a recognised body
Malaysia’s halal authority recognises foreign certifying bodies by name, and the importer’s file names the body. Our certificates are held for our factory; the offer names the holder and the body for every line and attaches copies; lines without a certificate are stated as such. The halal article explains what a certifier checks in confectionery.
Documents, the route and the reefer
Commercial invoice, packing list per pallet, certificate of origin, origin proof under the agreement, analysis report and, for pistachio lines, an aflatoxin certificate, listed on the how we work page. Sea freight from Mersin to Port Klang, Penang or Johor crosses the tropics in every season, so chocolate lines are quoted in a reefer year round; Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry. Each line has its own pallet; the mixed-container page explains how the load is built.
What to send first
The product references, the quantity per line, the port, whether any line carries your own brand and whether the list must be halal-certified from named bodies. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars,, the certificate holder and the data sheet named per line. The Malaysia page lists what stays the same on every offer.
Every line here is made in our own factory at Başpınar OSB, Gaziantep — a 10,000 m² site, exporting since 2002 — and certificate copies are available on request.
Is there a trade agreement between Malaysia and Türkiye?
Yes, a free trade agreement. Preferential treatment depends on the origin proof per product; the offer states what applies on the day.
Does the producer need Malaysian registration?
No. The importer registers and holds the halal file; we supply the data sheet, its certificates and lot traceability, named per line.
Which port?
Port Klang for Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Penang for the north, Johor for the south. The offer names the port and the delivery term.
