Who holds what
The importer or its local agent registers each imported food product with the food and drugs authority before it is brought in, and the registration number goes on the label. As the Turkish producer we do not register ourselves; we supply the documents the application needs. The offer states what applies on the day, because the details change.
What comes from our factory
The free sale certificate from the Turkish authority, the certificate of analysis for the product, the technical data sheet with ingredients, allergens, shelf life and storage, and the label content. Copies of our food-safety and halal certificates are available on request. All of it is named per line in the offer and sent before the deposit, because the registration runs on the importer’s side and is not counted in the lead time; an importer that has registered our lines once registers the next lines faster.
The label
An English label with the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, metric net weight, storage, the production and expiry dates, the importer’s name and address and the space for the registration number. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack carries and what the importer adds as a sticker; for private label we prepare the content and leave the space for the number. Customs, documents, shipping and the reefer
Ghana applies the West African common external tariff and there is no free trade agreement with Türkiye; the offer states the tariff line per product and the duty that applies on the day, and nothing about duty is printed on this site. The commercial set is the invoice, the packing list per pallet, the certificate of origin, the analysis report and, for pistachio lines, an aflatoxin certificate, listed on the how we work page. Shipping from Turkey to Ghana is by sea from Mersin to Tema, with the transshipment and the transit stated in the offer; door to door is quoted on request. The timeline
Registration first, then the deposit, then production, then the reefer. An importer that orders before the registration is through ties up a deposit; one that registers first orders with the registration in hand and the label already printed. An importer that has registered our lines once registers the next lines faster, because the free sale certificate and the data sheets are already on file.
