In confectionery, more than one kilo in ten already comes from Türkiye

Uzbekistan imported around 57 million dollars of sugar confectionery in 2024, and more than one kilo in ten of it already came from Türkiye — 10.32%, fourth place among suppliers. So a first conversation here does not have to argue for the origin. The open questions are narrower: which lines, at what temperature, under whose specification, and what a buyer has to send before a quotation can be written.

The origin question is already closed

Two 2024 figures frame the market. In sugar confectionery — lokum, jellies, dragées and the weight-sold lines — imports ran near 57 million dollars, with Türkiye fourth at 10.32% and an average of 2.42 dollars a kilo. In chocolate and chocolate-covered goods the pool is larger, near 174 million dollars, and Türkiye is sixth at 2.74%, 4.17 dollars a kilo. Russia supplies 58.42% of that chocolate pool, a structural feature of the route, not a verdict on any product.

Read together they say the same thing twice: Turkish confectionery is established here, Turkish chocolate is not. The introduction is finished; the range is what is missing.

Above 2.42 dollars a kilo, not against it

An average of 2.42 dollars a kilo is the volume end of the shelf, and a market does not reward that end twice. Nothing in this range is built to undercut it. Whole-pistachio and double-roasted lokum, kadayıf-wrapped lines and the pistachio-kadayıf dubai-style bar are a different item on the price list, not a cheaper version of the same one.

That shapes the first container. A buyer already moving inexpensive Turkish confectionery is not replacing it; they are adding a row above it, and both rows travel in the same load.

The minimum is per line, not per container

The selling unit is a full container or a full truck; we do not consolidate partial loads. The minimum, though, is set per line of that line and written into the quotation — it is not a minimum per container. It is the most misread figure in any offer.

The practical effect is a mixed container: a first order can carry six or seven items in measured quantities instead of one item in a punishing one. Each line rides on its own pallet, under a single packing list and one set of shipping documents.

Temperature decides what moves in which month

Chocolate and chocolate-covered products travel at +18 to +20 °C. For hot-month arrivals we quote a refrigerated container; if a dry container is preferred instead, the temperature risk passes to the buyer in writing, before loading. Lokum, sugared almond dragées and jelly lines go dry all year.

Uzbekistan is not an EAEU member, so the EAC mark does not apply here. The country's own food and customs rules govern entry and the importer files the declaration. Rates are not for a supplier page to state: the quotation states what applies on the day it is issued.

Spread, glaze, and whose name is on the certificate

Two naming points decide whether a label survives review. The jar line is a pistachio spread, not a cream, and not a 100% patisserie paste — asking for one and ordering the other is how the wrong specification gets bought. The second is coating: where a bar or a covered nut carries a vegetable-fat glaze rather than cocoa butter, it cannot be called chocolate, and the quotation says line by line which of the two it is.

Certificates belong to the manufacturer and are issued for our factory. Copies are available on request.

What to send

Quotations come back in two working days, in writing. To use them, send the lines you want in order of priority, the format for each — bulk carton, retail box, jar — and whether the label stays as it is or is prepared as private label. For private label we build the label from our technical specification, and nothing goes to print without written approval.

Name the month the load should arrive, because that settles the dry-or-reefer question early. You get back, line by line: technical specification, ingredients and allergens, net weight, carton and pallet data, minimum, and customs tariff heading. Payment is 50% at order and 50% before the container leaves, against loading photographs.

Is there a minimum order for the whole container?

The selling unit is a full container or a full truck, and we do not consolidate partial loads. The minimum quantity is set per line of that line and written into the quotation, not per container. That is why a first order can carry six or seven items in measured quantities, each on its own pallet.

Does the EAC mark apply in Uzbekistan?

No. Uzbekistan is not a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, so the EAC mark is not the reference here. The country's own food and customs rules govern entry, and the importer files the declaration. Rates and headings are not something a supplier page should state: the quotation states what applies on the day it is issued.

Is the pistachio jar a patisserie paste?

It is a spreadable pistachio product for the jar — a spread, not a cream, and not a 100% patisserie paste for filling and flavouring. Buyers sometimes search for it under a word that translates as paste, so we confirm composition and format before quoting.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
