Searched as pistáciový krém, labelled as a spread

In Slovakia the pistachio jar has a shelf name and a label name, and they are not the same word. Buyers look for pistáciový krém — around 2,400 searches a month — so that is the wording a listing is found under. The pack is a separate decision, taken under EU food information rules: the jar carries sugar and fat, so it is declared as a spread. A usable offer gives you both names.

Home  /  Blog  /  Slovak buyers look for pistáciový krém; the pack still has to say spread. Naming a product and labelling it are two different jobs.  ·

The name on the shelf and the name on the pack

Naming a product for search and declaring it on a label are two different jobs. The first is commercial: you use the words customers type, and here that is the krém wording. The second is regulatory: the legal name must describe what is in the jar, in Slovak, beside the other mandatory particulars.

Confusing them produces a listing that sells and a pack that has to be reprinted. We quote the legal name from our technical specification; the shelf wording belongs in your catalogue.

Spread, not cream — and not a 100 per cent paste

The jar in the range is a sweetened spread: sugar and fat are in it, soft enough for bread or a gift pack. It is not a 100 per cent pâtisserie paste, the unsweetened ingredient a production room doses into a filling.

If the pastry ingredient is what you need, say so at the enquiry: it is not in the main range, but sourced on request, with composition and format confirmed first. Pistachio content is stated line by line in the quotation, never as onefigure for the range.

A pattern, not a Slovak quirk

This split came out of measurement in a second market, not out of theory: the Baltic reading ran the same way, the searched word one step from the declarable one. Treat it as a pattern: in any language, check the searched name against the legal name before anything is printed.

The same discipline applies where volume leads nowhere. Baklava is looked for here at around 4,400 a month and is not in our range; it is sourced on request, the producer confirming first what is possible.

Coating, documents and whose certificates they are

A vegetable-fat coating cannot be called chocolate in the EU: it is a cocoa glaze, and the offer states per line which of the two a coating is.

Slovakia is in the EU, and Türkiye and the EU are in a customs union, so processed food travels under an A.TR movement certificate. On duty, one sentence is honest: the quotation states what applies on the day it is issued. Certificates are issued for our factory: copies are available on request.

One container, a minimum per line, and temperature

The selling unit is a full container or truck; there are no part loads. The minimum is set per line and written into the quotation — not per container. That lets a first order carry six or seven references in measured quantity, each on its own pallet, under one packing list.

Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines travel at +18/+20 °C, so in hot months a refrigerated container is offered; if a dry one is preferred, that risk passes to the buyer in writing, before loading. Lokum, dragées and sugared almonds go dry all year — the easy half of a mixed load.

What to send

Send the jar line with the size, and say whether the label is ours or yours; in private label work nothing is printed without your written approval. Send the other lines for the same container with a quantity and a format against each — bulk case or retail box — plus your delivery point and season.

The written quotation follows within two working days, line by line: technical specification, ingredients and allergens, net weight, case and pallet data, minimum and tariff position. Payment is 50 per cent at order and 50 before the container leaves, against loading photographs.

Slovak buyers search for pistáciový krém. Can we sell it under that name?

Use that wording where customers search — your listing, your product page, your catalogue. The label is a separate job: the jar contains sugar and fat, so it is declared as a spread, in Slovak, from our technical specification. It is not a 100 per cent pâtisserie paste.

Do you supply baklava?

It is not in our main range, whatever the search volume suggests. It can be sourced on request, and in that case composition and format are confirmed before a quotation is written.

Which customs document applies for Slovakia, and at what rate?

Slovakia is in the EU and Türkiye and the EU are in a customs union, so processed food moves under an A.TR movement certificate. On the rate, the quotation states what applies on the day it is issued, against the tariff position written for each line.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
