Slovakia: the wholesale channel is visible, so the work is getting through its door

Search for confectionery wholesale in Slovak and the results are not articles about the category. They are established Slovak confectionery wholesalers — catalogues, delivery rounds and weigh-out counters already running. The buyer here arrives from the wholesale channel, not from a search engine. So this page is not written to be found; it is written to prepare the quotation.

Home  /  Blog  /  In Slovakia the buyer arrives from the wholesale channel, not from search — so the work is preparing a list a wholesaler can price.  ·

The channel is already built

A wholesaler here is not waiting to be taught the category. The catalogue, the routes and the weigh-out counter are already there. What is missing is never a story — it is a list they can price: net weights, case and pallet data, and a minimum they can plan against.

We are a manufacturer and exporter: we make the goods in our Gaziantep factory and load the lines into one container. The question is what a buyer needs on paper before a foreign line fits a catalogue that already turns — see how we work.

Build the first list from the product pages

A first list is assembled, not requested. Go through the product pages and pick lines, not categories: lokum plain, with whole pistachio, double roasted or kadayıf-filled, bulk or in retail boxes; the pistachio-and-kadayıf Dubai-style bar; chocolate dragées and sugared almonds; gelled sweets and popping candy in bulk cases for weigh-out counters; pistachio spread in jars.

Each chosen line then travels on its own pallet, with its own case data, under a single packing list. That is what turns a six- or seven-item first order into an ordinary load.

The minimum is counted per line, not per container

The sales unit does not bend: a full container or a full truck, no part loads. But the threshold to clear is set per line and written into the quotation — not per container.

That is why a modest first list can still be real: an order clears several small thresholds instead of one enormous one, and the box is completed alongside other lines in the same load — a mixed container.

Sort the same list by temperature group

Chocolate and chocolate-coated goods travel at +18/+20 °C. In hot months a refrigerated container is offered; if a dry container is preferred anyway, the temperature risk passes to the buyer in writing, before loading.

Lokum, sugared almonds and the gelled lines go dry all year. Sorted by temperature group, the loading month stops being a surprise: a cool-season load carries chocolate comfortably, a summer load leans on the dry references.

Two descriptions that decide how a line is listed

The jar of pistachio is searched for as a paste, and the word misleads a catalogue. What ships is a spread, a retail product, and not a 100 per cent pâtisserie paste. For a pastry ingredient, composition is confirmed first; couverture and bulk chocolate by thekilo sit outside the main range, supplied on request.

A coating built on vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter cannot be labelled as chocolate in the EU, so the quotation states per line whether it is chocolate or a cocoa glaze, before artwork. Certificates work the same way: they are ours and carry our name, and copies are available on request. Selected lines run under your own label, with nothing printed without the producer's written approval — see private label.

What to send

Slovakia is in the EU, and the customs union between Türkiye and the EU covers processed food, so it moves on an A.TR movement certificate; the quotation states what applies on the day it is issued. Labelling follows EU food information rules, and the party placing the goods on the market answers for the label text.

For a written offer, send the lines you selected, the format and net weight for each, an indicative quantity per line, your coating preference, the label language and the delivery city. We answer in two working days, line by line: technical specification, ingredients and allergens, net weight, case and pallet data, minimum, customs tariff heading. Payment is 50% at order and 50% before the container leaves, against loading photographs. More on the Slovakia market page.

Can a first order carry only a few items?

Yes. The sales unit is a full container or a full truck, but the minimum is set per line,so a first list of six or seven references in measured quantities is a normal load rather than an exception.

Is the pistachio in a jar a pâtisserie paste?

No. It is a spread, sold as a retail product, and not a 100 per cent pâtisserie paste. If you need a pastry ingredient, we confirm composition and format before any offer is issued.

Whose name is on the certificates?

The producer's. Each line is made in our own factory, the quotation states which certificates apply, and copies are available on request.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
