Turkmenistan

In Turkmenistan the origin is already established — the open question is the line

In most markets the first conversation is whether Turkish confectionery will sell. Turkmenistan is not one of them. The import side is not published, so the picture is read from outside — from what others report shipping in. On that reading, Türkiye is the first source of imported confectionery. The origin needs no introducing; what is open is narrower: which line, in which format, under whose label.

Home  /  Blog  /  The origin no longer needs introducing here — what is open is which line, in which format, under whose label.  ·

What the mirror shows, and what it leaves open

Mirror data must be read for what it is. Assembled from export reports on the far side of the border, it has two faults pulling opposite ways: re-export through a neighbour inflates an origin, a missing reporter hides one. Read it for order rather than size.

Read conservatively, it still says one thing: nobody needs persuading that the category sells or that the origin is credible. A first order is not a trial but a decision about assortment — where a stocked shelf has room.

The lines worth putting in front of a shelf that has the basics

Plain lokum is already there; the room is one level up: whole-pistachio lokum and double-roasted lokum, where the nut shows in the cut face rather than on the pack, and the kadayıf-wrapped lines. The Dubai-style bar, pistachio and kadayıf filled, is a format buyers meet on a screen before a shelf.

Then the sugar side: dragées and sugared almonds sorted by colour and calibre, as a weighed counter buys them, and gelled sweets in bulk cartons. And the jar: a pistachio spread — spread, not cream, not a hundred-per-cent pistachio paste for a pastry kitchen. That distinction is worth fixing before the first quotation.

Turkmen on the label, and whose name is on the certificate

Turkmenistan is not in the Eurasian Economic Union, so a pack built around that union's mark does not carry here. The frame is the country's own food and customs rules: the importer lodges the declaration, and the offer names the tariff heading per line and states what applies on the day it is issued.

The mandatory label particulars are in Turkmen. Our technical data sheet per line is the ground for the artwork; under your own label nothing prints without written approval. Certificates are held for our factory, for our factory; we sayper line who holds what and pass on copies.

The minimum belongs to the line, not to the container

The selling unit is a full container or a full truck, with no part loads — but the minimum is set per line, not per container, which changes what a first order can looklike.

A short list of references is not a problem to fix later; it is the ordinary shape of a first load. Several lines travel together in measured quantity, each on its own pallet, under one packing list. One line can run in two formats at once: the retail sales pack for the pre-packed shelf, the bulk carton for a counter that weighs out — both in the same container.

Temperature, and what a coating may be called

Temperature splits the load first. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines travel at +18 to +20 °C, so a refrigerated container is offered in the hot months; if a dry one is preferred, that risk passes to the buyer in writing, before loading. Lokum, sugared almonds, dragées and gelled sweets go dry all year.

The other thing settled in writing is naming. A coating made with vegetable fat is not chocolate and cannot be labelled as chocolate; it is a cocoa glaze, a different product with a different name. The offer states per line which is on the bar, before artwork is drawn.

What to send

Send the references with a quantity against each, the delivery address, and — per line — whether it goes to a pre-packed shelf or a counter that weighs out. That decides the carton. Say which lines, if any, run under your own label.

The written offer follows within two working days: specification, ingredients and allergens, net weight, carton and pallet data, minimum and tariff heading — line by line. Payment is 50 per cent at order and 50 before the container leaves, against loading photographs.

If Türkiye already leads, what is left to sell here?

Assortment rather than origin. The standing rests largely on plain lokum, which the shelf already carries. Whole-pistachio and double-roasted lokum, the kadayıf lines, the Dubai-style bar and the jarred pistachio spread are usually the references the same buyer is not yet listing.

Does the EAC conformity mark apply in Turkmenistan?

No. Turkmenistan is not a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, so a pack prepared around that mark does not carry here. The country's own food and customs rules apply, the importer lodges the declaration, and the mandatory label particulars are in Turkmen.

Is the pistachio jar the same thing as a pastry paste?

No. What we sell is a spread — spread, not cream — made for retail sale. It is not a hundred-per-cent pistachio paste for professional pastry work. If a kitchen product is what you need, say so before the offer: composition and format are confirmed first.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
