Wholesale sweets in South Africa: tuck shops, party packs, cash and carry, and the Turkish lines that fit

The trade searches by channel and by price. Here are the Turkish lines that fit that channel, and the honest place they sit on price.

How the trade buys

A tuck shop, a spaza shop, a party pack packer or a sweet shop buys from a sweet wholesaler, a factory shop or a cash and carry; the wholesaler imports or buys from an importer; the importer buys a container into Durban or Cape Town. That is the link we quote: an importer or a wholesale house filling one mixed container from Gaziantep, each line on its own pallet, with the halaal certificate per line already named.

The honest place on price

South Africa buys sweets on price, and some of what reaches the tuck shop is the cheapest jelly on the market. We do not quote that. The Turkish lines that fit the wholesale trade are fruit jellies and gummy sweets in bulk, wrapped sweets, popping candy and wrapped mini biscuits that carry a halaal certificate and a shelf life a tuck shop can live with; they sit a step above the cheapest carton and below the imported brand. The offer prices each line by the carton; the sample decides.

Party packs and tuck shops

Party pack sweets South Africa, sweets for party packs wholesale, bulk buy tuck shop sweets: both channels want wrapped pieces in a carton that a packer can portion by hand, and jellies loose in a lined carton for the scoop. Dragées and chocolate pebbles for the children’s party, sugared almonds for the wedding table, mini bars for the corporate tray. The confectionery page and the dragée page list the lines; wrapped or loose is stated per line in the offer.

Halaal, by certifier

Halal sweets wholesale, halal sweets wholesale South Africa, cheap halal sweets wholesale: the Durban and Cape Town trade asks for halaal first, and it asks which body certified it. Our certificates are held for our factory; the offer names the holder and the body for every line and attaches copies. A line without a certificate is stated as such. The halal article explains what a certifier checks in confectionery.

What the carton needs

A lined, closed carton; a shelf life on our data sheet; one product per carton; a case weight a spaza owner can carry and a cash and carry can stack. Jellies and wrapped sweets travel dry; chocolate lines travel in a reefer on the Durban route year round, because the container crosses the tropics. The South Africa page lists what stays the same on every offer; the samples page explains how to taste the lines first.

How to start

Send the references from the confectionery page, the quantity per line and the destination port. The written offer follows within two working days, the case weight and the minimum stated for each.

Samples come free from our running production; the courier is on your account and paid before dispatch. The south africa: what stays the same on every offer page lists what stays the same on every offer, and the private label page covers putting your own name on the pack.

Every line here is made in our own factory at Başpınar OSB, Gaziantep — a 10,000 m² site, exporting since 2002 — and certificate copies are available on request.

Do you sell to tuck shops or spaza shops directly?

The unit of sale is one full container. A wholesale house that imports can buy it; a shop buys from its wholesaler, and we quote the wholesaler or the importer.

Are Turkish jellies halaal?

It depends on the recipe and our certificate; the offer states it per line with the certifying body and marks lines without a certificate.

Are the sweets the cheapest on the market?

No. They sit a step above the cheapest carton, with a halaal certificate and a shelf life stated on the data sheet; the offer prices each line.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.

Send your product list with approximate quantities and the destination port. You get one offer covering every line, then one container, loaded and photographed before the doors close.
