Dubai chocolate in Baghdad and Erbil: the wholesale side

The bar reached the Iraqi trade through the Gulf and stayed. Here is what a wholesaler in Baghdad or Erbil actually buys, and where it is made. The pistachio percentage is what separates two bars that look identical on a shelf, and it is stated per line in the offer rather than described in adjectives. Three formats cover most orders here: the retail bar, the gift box for the season, and the jar of pistachio cream with kadayif paste for the chocolate houses that make their own piece. The written offer follows within two working days, with the pallet plan for each line. Each line travels on its own pallet and the container is mixed, so a first order can cover a shelf instead of a single reference, with the minimum stated per line.

What the bar is

A thick milk or dark chocolate shell filled with pistachio cream and toasted kadayif, the shredded pastry that gives the crunch. The name comes from where the trend started; the ingredients come from Gaziantep, where the pistachio grows and the kadayif is made. We make the bar in our Gaziantep factory in retail and gift formats, in our standard packs or under your brand. The Dubai chocolate article goes into the recipe. The bar came to Iraq through the Gulf, in suitcases first and then in cartons; today the Baghdad and Erbil wholesale markets carry Turkish-made versions next to the Gulf originals, and the question is no longer whether to stock it but whose.

What the Iraqi trade asks for

Three things, in this order: a bar that does not melt on the road, a price by the carton and a pack that reads well on an Iraqi shelf. The first is a matter of the reefer truck in the warm months and a controlled temperature the rest of the year. The second is on the offer, per line, with the case count and the pallet plan. The third is the producer’s pack with an Arabic sticker, or your own pack under private label, prepared before printing.

Bars, boxes and spread

Beyond the single bar: gift boxes of mini bars for the Eid trade, pistachio kadayif pieces in boxes, and the pistachio spread and kadayif spread in jars that the bar’s success pulled along. All of it comes from the same factory and shares one truck. The chocolate page lists the Dubai style group next to the pistachio tablets. A wholesaler that starts with the bar usually adds the spread within a season, because the shelf that sells one sells the other.

Real chocolate or compound

Both exist in this category, and they are sold at different prices for different shelves. Real chocolate shells travel at a controlled temperature; compound shells tolerate the road better and cost less. The offer states which is which per line and the name on the pack is checked against the recipe. The chocolate or compound article explains the difference.

Ordering from Iraq

Send the product references, the quantity per line, the crossing or port and whether the pack carries your brand. The written offer follows within two working days in US dollars; a Ramadan or Eid order is quoted ahead of the season. The Iraq page lists what stays the same on every offer.

Is Dubai chocolate made in Dubai?

The name comes from where the trend started. The pistachio and the kadayif inside are Gaziantep ingredients, and the bars on this site are made in Gaziantep.

Will the bar survive the road to Baghdad?

At a controlled temperature, yes; for the warm months a reefer truck is quoted. Compound shells tolerate heat better and are stated as such on the offer.

Can the bar carry our own brand in Iraq?

On selected lines, as one of our core services, with the Arabic and English label content prepared before printing.
