The Estonian shelf is already describing our range — what is left is supply

Most export approaches start by explaining the product. In Estonia that stage is over. Retailers list the Dubai-style bar by name, and one listing describes it as chocolate with pistachio cream and Turkish cotton candy — so the shelf recognises pişmaniye too. A Turkish-goods trade already operates here. The category was built by somebody else's marketing; what is left is supply: which line, which format, which minimum, which label.

Home  /  Blog  /  Estonian shelf descriptions already name pistachio cream, kadayıf and Turkish cotton candy — the category work is done, and only the supply side is left.  ·

What that shelf description is telling you

A retail description is a compressed brief. When one sentence names pistachio cream, kadayıf pastry and Turkish cotton candy, the Estonian shopper has already met a whole family of Gaziantep confectionery, not a single viral bar — work an importer normally pays for.

The trade picture agrees. Türkiye is 18th in Estonia's chocolate imports with about 1,17% of the value, but at 12,04 $/kg. A small share at a high unit value is the signature of speciality listings rather than volume lines.

The family the shelf is already naming

Our range follows that description closely. The Dubai-style bar: pistachio cream with crisp kadayıf, in real chocolate. Turkish delight in the versions that carry the price the shelf already asks — whole pistachio, double-roasted, kadayıf — in retail boxes or bulk. Around them, chocolate dragées and sugared almonds, chocolate-coated nut and fruit centres, and pistachio spread in jars.

Pişmaniye is a fair question after that listing. It is not in the main range: it can be supplied on request, with composition and format confirmed before aquotation.

Why the lines come from Gaziantep

Pistachio and kadayıf are both everyday working stock in Gaziantep, handled daily long before this bar existed. That is why the line was already running in our factory there instead of being set up for a trend, and why the filling is built from the nut rather than around it.

Antep Foods is a manufacturer and exporter: we make the sweets in our Gaziantep factory and load the lines into one container. Certificates are held for our factory, for our factory; copies are available on request. Nut-based items: pistachio and regional.

Coating and name, before anything goes to print

Two checks decide whether a shipment sells as planned. The coating: with cocoa butter it is chocolate; with vegetable fat it is not, and in the European Union it cannot be labelled as chocolate — it is named a cocoa glaze. Both exist at different prices and look alike in a photograph.

Then the jar: what we sell is a spread, not a cream in the pastry sense, not a 100% pistachio pastry paste for filling and flavouring production. If a patisserie ingredient is the plan, that changes specification and price. The producer's technical specification states both points in writing; see chocolate.

Two formats off one line, one container

The same line reaches a shopper two ways: as a retail pack — wrapped bar, gift box, jar — finished for the shelf, and as a bulk carton for a repacker or a weigh-out counter, where pack and price are set in-market. Gelled sweets and popping candy travel that way as standard.

Both load into one container, each line on its own pallet under one packing list and one movement document — which lets a first order hold six or seven items in measured quantities. The loading is described on the mixed container page.

A.TR, the Estonian label, and what to send

Estonia is in the European Union, so processed food from Türkiye moves under an A.TR movement certificate; the quotation states what applies on the day. Mandatory label information — name, ingredients, allergens, net weight, storage, producer and importer details — appears in Estonian, prepared from our specification, and nothing goes to print without yourwritten approval. Minimums are set per line not per container. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines travel at +18/+20 °C: in warm months a refrigerated container is what we quote, and if a dry one is preferred the temperature risk passes to the buyer in writing before loading.

For a written quotation within two working days, send the lines you want, retail pack or bulk for each, the destination city, whose details go on the label, and whether it is private label. Back come, per line: specification, ingredients and allergens, net weight, case and pallet data, minimum and tariff heading. Market background: Estonia.

Is the coating on the Dubai-style bar real chocolate?

It depends on the line, and the quotation says which. A coating made with vegetable fat cannot be labelled as chocolate in the European Union and is named as a cocoa glaze instead. Whichever version you take, our technical specification states it in writing, so your shelf text and your own label can be built on a document rather than on a photograph.

Is the pistachio jar the same thing as a pastry paste?

No. What we sell in jars is a spread for eating, not a 100% pistachio pastry paste used to fill and flavour production. The two are different products with different specifications and prices. If a patisserie ingredient is what you need, say so with the enquiry and we confirm composition and format before quoting.

Can retail packs and bulk cartons ship together?

Yes. Finished retail packs for the shelf and bulk cartons for a repacker or a weigh-out counter travel in the same container, each line on its own pallet, under one packing list and one movement document. Minimums are set per line rather than per container, which is what allows a first order tocarry six or seven items in measured quantities. Turkish delight, sugared almonds and gelled sweets travel dry all year; payment is 50% at order and 50% before the container leaves, against loading photographs.

How to order

Send the list. We do the rest.
