Registration, line by line
For the products on the import control authority’s list, Egypt asks the producer’s factory or the brand owner to be registered with that authority before the goods can enter. The offer states whether our factory holds the registration for Egypt, which lines it covers, and what an own-brand line needs, before the deposit; a line that is not registered is not quoted for Egypt until it is. The importer, for its part, is registered with the food safety authority and holds the import licence.
The single window
Before the container is loaded, the importer files the advance cargo information on the customs single window and receives the number that goes on the shipping documents; we do not load without it. The commercial set is the invoice, the packing list per pallet, the movement certificate under the free trade agreement, the analysis report and, for pistachio lines, an aflatoxin certificate, listed on the how we work page, with our certificates per line.
Free trade and the label
There is a free trade agreement in force between Türkiye and Egypt, and the offer states the tariff line for each product and what applies to it on the day; nothing about duty is printed on this site, because it changes. The label carries Arabic, with English alongside if you want it: the name of the food, the ingredient list with allergens, net weight, storage, the importer’s name and address, and the production and expiry dates printed on the pack in production. The Egyptian private label page goes through the label for own-brand lines.
The route and the reefer
Sea freight from Mersin to Alexandria, Port Said or Damietta, with the port and the transit stated in the offer; a road route is quoted on request. Chocolate and chocolate-coated lines are quoted in a reefer year round; Turkish delight, sugared almonds and jellies travel dry. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built, each line on its own pallet.
What comes from our factory
The technical data sheet with ingredients, allergens, shelf life and storage; our certificates, food-safety and halal where it applies; the analysis report per lot; the registration documents where we hold the Egyptian registration; and the label content. All of it is named per line in the offer and sent before the deposit, because the registration and the advance cargo filing run on the importer’s side and are not counted in the lead time.
The timeline
Registration and the advance cargo filing first, then the deposit, then production, then the reefer. An importer that has cleared our lines once clears the next lines faster, because the registration, the data sheets and the label content are already on file. The Egypt page lists what stays the same on every offer.
How to start
What we need to price it: the lines you want from the product pages, how much of each, and where it lands. Two working days later the written offer comes back with the specification, the case weight and the minimum per line.
A sample goes out before any of that if you want to taste the lines first — free from running production, courier at your cost. The egypt: what stays the same on every offer page lists what stays the same on every offer, and the private label page covers putting your own name on the pack.
Does the Turkish producer need to be registered in Egypt?
For products on the import control authority’s list, yes: our factory or the brand owner is registered. The offer states which lines it covers.
What is the advance cargo information?
A filing the importer makes on the customs single window before loading; the number it returns goes on the shipping documents, and we do not load without it.
Is the container a reefer?
For chocolate lines, yes, year round on this route. Dry lines travel dry; a mixed load is quoted as the offer states.
