The chain
A resort buys by the carton from a resort supply company in Malé, which buys by the pallet from an importer or imports for itself, brings the container into Malé, keeps it in a cool store and ships it out by dhoni or by the supply boat. That is the link we quote: a food importer or a resort supply company filling one mixed container from Gaziantep, each line on its own pallet, with the registration and the halal paperwork settled before the deposit. A resort group that fills a container and holds the import licence is quoted like an importer.
What each corner of the resort buys
The minibar wants the tablet and the wrapped mini bar, and a turndown chocolate with the island’s name on the sleeve; the boutique wants the pistachio tablet, the Dubai style bar with pistachio and kadayif and the boxed Turkish delight a guest carries home; the restaurant wants pistachio cream and coated nuts for the dessert table; the wedding planner wants sugared almonds by colour and dragées in the resort’s palette. The chocolate page, the dragée page and the pistachio page list the groups.
The cool chain
The route crosses the tropics and the islands are warm in every season, so chocolate lines travel in a reefer year round and need a cool store in Malé and a cool box on the boat; the offer states which lines are chocolate and which travel dry, and sugared almonds, jellies and Turkish delight go dry and sit in the boutique without complaint. A supply company that plans the two separately loses nothing to the heat.
Registration, halal and the label
Imported food is registered with the food and drug authority by the importer before it is brought in; we supply the data sheet, the certificates and the analysis report per line, named in the offer and sent before the deposit. Lines with gelatine travel with our halal certificate and the certifying body named. The label is English, with the ingredients, allergens, net weight, dates and the importer’s name. The Maldivian private label page goes through the resort’s own name on the pack.
Price, and what is not printed here
The price per line in US dollars, the case count, the pallet plan and the tariff line are in the offer, with the duty that applies on the day; nothing that changes with the exchange rate or the season is printed on this site. A supply company that serves many islands fills a container faster than one resort would, and the mixed-container page explains how the load is built.
What to send first
The lines from the chocolate page, the dragée page and the Turkish delight page, the quantity per line, and whether any line carries your own name. The written offer follows within two working days, in US dollars, with the certifying body named per line and the registration documents listed; the samples page explains how to taste the lines first, and the Maldives page lists what stays the same on every offer.
Every line here is made in our own factory at Başpınar OSB, Gaziantep — a 10,000 m² site, exporting since 2002 — and certificate copies are available on request.
Can a single resort buy directly from Türkiye?
The unit of sale is one full container. A resort buys by the carton from the supply company that imports it; a resort group that fills a container and holds the licence is quoted like an importer.
Is a reefer needed?
For chocolate lines, yes, year round on this route, with a cool store in Malé. Dragées, jellies and Turkish delight travel dry.
Can the minibar chocolate carry the resort’s name?
Yes, on selected lines: wrapped mini bars and napolitains with your sleeve; the minimum per line is stated in the offer.
